“The study of this site at Ein Esur will change forever what we know about the emergence and rise of urbanization in the land of Israel and in the whole region,” said Paz. “And it means that what we know now will change what is written today in the traditional books when people read about the archaeology of Israel.” The ancient settlement contained public and private buildings and areas, streets and alleys and was surrounded by a fortification wall.
A massive 5,000-year-old metropolis Ein Esur
that housed some 6,000 residents has been uncovered alongside Israel’s newest
city, Harish, during new roadworks.
The world of biblical archaeology in the Middle East is
buzzing right now with the news of the discovery of the largest ancient
settlement ever found in the region of Israel and trans-Jordan, a city called
Ein Esur that was so massive in its day that archaeologists are calling it
‘Israel’s NYC’, and only partially tongue in cheek. This scope of this find is
so large they really aren’t even sure exactly what they’ve found. Ein Esur
dates back to the time of the very first pharaoh in Egypt, that’s how old this
city is. Amazing.
“Hast thou not heard long ago how I
have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it?
now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced
cities into ruinous heaps.” 2 Kings 19:25 (KJV)
The article below goes on to say that they have also
discovered settlements that are ‘7,000 years old’, which would be a pretty good
trick considering the Bible only records a history of humans dating back around
6,000 years. Needless to say, we will be watching the developments of Ein Esur
very closely and will report to you as soon as new information becomes
available. But I will make one prediction right now. When they dig a little
deeper, they will find artifacts that will establish a direct connection with
matching accounts contained in the Holy Bible. That’s a virtual guarantee.
‘Israel’s ancient NYC’: 5,000-year-old
Canaanite megalopolis Ein Esur may rewrite history
FROM TIMES OF ISRAEL: The 160-acre (over 650 dunam) city is
the largest Early Bronze Age settlement excavated in Israel, the Israel
Antiquities Authority announced on Sunday. “It is much larger than any known
site in the land of Israel — and outside the land of Israel — in the region of Jordan,
Lebanon, southern Syria,” said excavation co-director Dr. Yitzhak Paz in an IAA
In addition, just ahead of the construction of a new
interchange over the Ein Esur (Ein
Asawir) archaeological site, IAA archaeologists also discovered
an earlier, 7,000-year-old Chalcolithic settlement under several of the
“This is a huge city – a megalopolis in relation to the Early Bronze Age,
where thousands of inhabitants, who made their living from agriculture, lived
and traded with different regions and even with different cultures and kingdoms
in the area… This is the Early Bronze Age New York of our region; a
cosmopolitan and planned city,” said excavation directors Itai Elad, Paz and
Dr. Dina Shalem in an IAA statement.
“The study of this site will change forever what
we know about the emergence and rise of urbanization in the land of Israel and
in the whole region,” said Paz. “And it means that what we know now will change
what is written today in the traditional books when people read about the
archaeology of Israel.”
Salvage excavations have been taking place at the site for
the past two and a half years, financed by Netivei Israel – the National
Transport Infrastructure Company Ltd. Over 5,000 high school students and
volunteers from the area have participated in them.
Due to the importance of the site, Netivei Israel has
significantly increased the height of the planned interchange and will preserve
the excavations through high-tech documentation and physical conservation.
The digs have revealed an Early Bronze Age (end of the 4th
millennium BCE) planned city located near Wadi Ara, near two water springs, in
the Haifa district of northern Israel. According to Paz, the land is fertile
for agriculture and is close to important, central trade routes.
The Ein Esur ancient settlement contained
public and private buildings and areas, streets and alleys and was surrounded
by a fortification wall.
“The excavation at this site revealed two main settlements,” explained
Shalem in an IAA video. “The earliest one is about 7,000 years old. It’s a very
large agricultural settlement. Two thousand years later, another settlement
became one of the first cities known in this area of the world.”
The layout of the city, said Elad, the third co-director,
indicates it was very thoughtfully planned. During the excavation, the team
discovered a very large public building that was unlike any of the others. It
was, said Elad, most probably a temple or a shrine, inside which was found an
area containing burnt animal bones, presumably for sacrifices. In the temple
courtyard is large stone basin for liquids, which the archaeologists assume was
also used during religious rituals.
“These findings allow us to look beyond the material into the spiritual life
of the large community that lived at the site,” said the archaeologists.
For the 5,000 Israeli pupils and young adults — Jews and
Arabs — who participated in the excavations, their firsthand knowledge and
experiences may also change their perspective and their connection to the land
of Israel. As history books are rewritten, the students were on the frontlines
of early research.
“The study of this site will change forever what we know about the emergence
rise of urbanization in the land of Israel and in the whole region,” said
Paz. “And it means that what we know now will change what is written today in
the traditional books when people read about the archaeology of Israel.
(Natural News) BREAKING NEWS
UPDATE concerning a directive involving the United States Marine Corps reserve
units via MARADMINS number 550/19, signed on Oct. 3, 2019, authorized by
Brigadier General Daniel L. Shipley, Director, Manpower Plans and Policy.
Notably, Brigadier General Daniel L. Shipley was nominated by President
Trump for the rank of major general, according to a Jan. 16, 2019 Defense.gov
press announcement. Before serving in his current role, Shipley
served as the deputy director, Program Analysis and Evaluation, Department of
Programs and Resources for the U.S. Marines.
This new order is summarized as, “MARINES ORDERED TO ACTIVE DUTY ISO DEFENSE
SUPPORT OF CIVIL AUTHORITIES.” (The term “ISO” means In Support Of.”) (See
full text of the order here.)
Note: There is disinfo being circulated about this order, claiming it was
cancelled, but the cancelled order is 300/14, not 500/19. In fact, this new order
500/19 replaces a lot of previous orders, reestablishing the urgency
of the situation and making sure any action to defend the Homeland is
authorized by orders that are in good standing.
I spoke on the phone with Alex Jones today about this breaking news, and he
told me, “I talked to a high level Trump confidant concerning what Trump would
do if the deep state attempted an illegal coup. Trump said they would call out
the marines and surround the White House, then legally and lawfully pursue the
originators of the criminal coup.”
This high-level confidant is someone who is very close to the President, and
who is familiar with the President’s plans for how to deal with any attempt by
the deep state to carry out an illegal coup attempt.
We urge all lawful, pro-America organizations and individuals to prepare
to defend your President against an illegal coup attempt in the coming
weeks or months.
At the parade, the Islamic republic displayed the Khordad-3 air defence system that shot down a US drone in June. It also showcased the long-range, surface-to-air Bavar 373 missile that can travel more than 1,250 miles, bringing it in range of US bases in the region and arch-foe Israel. Saudi Arabia and the US accuse Iran of attacking Saudi oil facilities on September 14, the biggest such assault on the world’s top oil exporter.
Iran’s president has warned American and other foreign forces to “stay
away” from the region, as Tehran paraded their Khordad-3 air defense long-range
missile system capable of reaching American bases.
On one hand, the global community is long-used to hearing
empty threats of war from Iran that almost never actually materialize, I get
that. But to dismiss them as a ‘ mickey mouse’ country that we should just
laugh off is foolish. No one was laughing back in June when Iran was able to successfully
shoot from the sky a US
RQ-4 Global Hawk spy drone that cost $125 million
dollars. President Trump threatened Iran with ‘very
severe consequences‘ but called
off the attack at the last minute. And despite those very harsh
sanctions, Iran has only grown bolder as evidenced in the recent proxy attack
on the Saudi
Aramco oil refinery.
“…and shalt call his name Ishmael;
because the LORD hath heard thy affliction. And he will be a wild man;
his hand will beagainst every man, and every
man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his
brethren.” Genesis 16:11,12
Obviously, Iran is no match for the might of the United
States military in head-on conflict, but look at Afghanistan. We have been fighting
them for 20 years without victory, Iran looks at that and figures
they’ll continue to run their mouth and roll the dice. So far it’s been a
pretty good strategy for them. Iran has been quietly building their Khordad-3
air defense missile system, and to be quite honest, that’s no joke, either. The
United States needs to take all threats from Tehran seriously. Because if we
don’t, we’re going to get clipped.
Iran’s president warns America to ‘stay away’ as it unveils long range
missiles that could strike US bases
FROM YAHOO NEWS: Hassan Rouhani said the presence of such
troops in the Gulf has always brought “pain and misery”, in a speech made at an
annual military parade to commemorate the war with Iraq. Mr. Rouhani spoke in
response to an announcement made by the US on Friday that it was sending more
troops to Saudi Arabia after an attack on Saudi
oil facilities both nations blame on Iran.
“Wherever the Americans or our enemies have gone, there has been insecurity
afterward,” the Iranian president said. “The farther you keep yourselves from
our region and our nations, the more security there will be.”
At the parade, the Islamic republic displayed the Khordad-3
air defence system that shot down a US drone in June. It also showcased the
long-range, surface-to-air Bavar 373 missile that can travel more than 1,250
miles, bringing it in range of US bases in the region and arch-foe Israel.
Iran denies involvement in the attack, which was claimed by
Yemen’s Houthi movement, a group aligned with Iran and currently fighting a
Saudi-led alliance in the civil war. US President Donald Trump had said it
would step up to protect Saudi but would take its cue from Saudi. Riyadh has
said it has evidence Iranian missiles were used in last weekend’s attack and
that they were launched from the north, but did not go so far as to say they
came from Iranian territory.
Should the accusation be proven, it would mark such a serious escalation in
the long-running conflict between Saudi and Iran that the former could be
forced to retaliate.
“We hold Iran responsible because the missiles and the drones that were
fired at Saudi Arabia were Iranian-built and Iranian-delivered,” Adel
al-Jubeir, Saudi’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said on Sunday. “But
to launch an attack from your territory, if that is the case, puts us in a
different category… this would be considered an act of war,” he told CNN.
Both sides are holding their nerve, hoping to make their
case to the United Nations General Assembly later this week. Mr Rouhani, along
with US sanctioned Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, will travel to New
York on Monday, to present what he called a security plan for the Gulf.
“In this sensitive and important historical moment, we announce to our
neighbours that we extend the hand of friendship and brotherhood to them,” he
said. It is unclear what this would look like, with the president saying only
that peace in the Strait of Hormuz could be achieved “in co-operation with

The UAE is already home to a synagogue, in Dubai, formed in 2008. Though it
receives quiet support from the Emirati authorities, its members have
largely kept a low profile. The new state-sanctioned synagogue
would mark a significant step forward for public worship of Judaism in the Gulf

The Equality Act defies the purpose of anti-discrimination laws. The original Civil Rights Act was enacted to protect African-Americans from being denied access to material goods and services. The Equality Act, by contrast, would be used as a sword to attack people and force them to adopt new ideologies about human sexuality. This extreme and dangerous legislation would create unprecedented harms to businesses, charities, medical professionals, women and children, and entire families. The writing is on the wall: The Equality Act is anything but equal.
The so-called ‘Equality Act’ is nothing more
than a set up for Christians. It is a way for the Left to say “Obey the
law or go to jail.” Very similar to what is happening to Christians all
over the world. But our brethren are being killed. We are not there yet.
American Christians think that we are somehow immune from
persecution. We are not. This Equality Act may not become law now, but it will
one day. We will be placed in jail or re-education camps or worse.
“All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to
be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my
name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and
shall hate one another.” Matthew 24:8-10 (KJV)
One thing I will say about the Left – they are persistent in their
persecution of Christians and Conservatives. Just for the
record, you can’t be a
Christian Liberal. That is an oxymoron.
The Left are frustrated right now. You see, having Donald Trump in the
White House just puts a kink in any and all plans they have in their attempt to
squash their perceived enemies.
These people are unsaved and don’t have the ability to see that they
are being used by the wicked one himself – Satan. We should be praying for our
government officials every day.
This bill prohibits discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, and
gender identity in areas including public accommodations and facilities,
education, federal funding, employment, housing, credit, and the jury system.
Specifically, the bill defines and includes sex, sexual orientation, and gender
identity among the prohibited categories of discrimination or segregation.
The bill expands the definition of public accommodations to include places
or establishments that provide (1) exhibitions, recreation, exercise,
amusement, gatherings, or displays; (2) goods, services, or programs; and (3)
The bill allows the Department of Justice to intervene in equal protection
actions in federal court on account of sexual orientation or gender identity.

with the individual’s gender identity. source
Most Americans don’t
want a nationwide bathroom requirement, health care mandate, or
“preferred pronoun” law based on gender identity, but congressional Democrats
seem to think it’s time to impose them.
Nancy Pelosi delivered Wednesday on her promise to introduce the so-called
Equality Act, which would elevate sexual orientation and gender identity to
protected classes in federal anti-discrimination law. Although that may sound
nice in theory, in practice sexual orientation and gender identity policies at
the state and local level have caused profound harms to Americans from all
walks of life.
How might a sexual orientation and gender identity law on the federal level,
as introduced in the House and Senate, affect you and your community? Here are
1. It would penalize Americans who don’t affirm new sexual norms or
Jack Phillips’ case went all the way to the Supreme Court
after the Colorado Civil Rights Commission accused the bakery owner of
discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation when the self-described cake
artist declined to create a custom cake to celebrate a same-sex wedding.
The Supreme Court ruled
in favor of Phillips, owner of Masterpiece
Cakeshop, but left the law in question, the Colorado
Anti-Discrimination Act, intact. Until last week, Phillips was in court again
defending himself against the same agency under the same law.
The day after the Supreme Court ruled in Phillips’ case, Autumn Scardina, a
lawyer who identifies as transgender, requested that he create a “gender
transition cake.” After Phillips declined, the state Civil Rights
Commission found probable cause under the law that the baker had discriminated
on the basis of gender identity.
These cases are just the beginning. The same policies used
to silence disagreement over marriage can be used to silence disagreement over
the biological reality of sex.
Just as a side note, yesterday I called one of the largest Muslim owned
bakeries in our area. I asked the woman who answered if they made wedding
cakes. Her answer to me was this “We no longer make wedding
cakes.” I thought to myself that this was wisdom on the
part of the owner of the bakery.
2. It would compel speech.
Virginia high school teacher Peter Vlaming lost
his job for something he did not say. A county school board voted
unanimously to fire the veteran teacher over
the objections of his students after he refused to comply with
administrators’ orders to use masculine pronouns in referring to a female
student who identifies as transgender.
Vlaming did his best to
accommodate the student without violating his religious belief
that God created human beings male and female, using the student’s new name and
simply refraining from using pronouns altogether.
Unfortunately, the school still considered this a violation of its
Incidents like these would increase under federal policy proposed in the
Equality Act. Both federal and private employers could face costly lawsuits if
they fail to implement strict preferred pronoun policies. Employees could be
disciplined if they fail to comply, regardless of their scientific or moral
3. It could shut down charities.
Foster care and adoption agencies, drug rehabilitation
centers, and homeless centers already face challenges under state and local
policies on sexual orientation and gender identity. In Philadelphia, just days
after the city put out an urgent call for 300 additional families to foster
city halted child placements by Catholic Social Services because
of the organization’s belief that every child deserves both a mother and a father.
Although same-sex couples have the opportunity to foster children through
the state or every other agency in Philadelphia, the city canceled its contract
with Catholic Social Services. The agency’s approved foster homes remain
available while children languish on the waiting list.
A federal sexual orientation and gender identity law would make this
situation a national phenomenon, which would spell disaster for the 437,500
children in foster care nationwide. Other charities would be affected, too.
In one attempt, authorities said, Coyle was inebriated and had gotten into a
fight with a staffer at another shelter, so Hope Center staff paid Coyle’s fare
to the emergency room to receive medical attention. Coyle sued the center for
“gender identity discrimination.”
A federal sexual orientation and gender identity law could force any social
service organization to open up private facilities—including single-sex
bathrooms, showers, and sleeping areas—to members of the opposite sex.
4. It would allow more biological males to defeat girls in sports.
Two biological males who identify and compete as women easily
defeated all of their female competitors in an event at the
Connecticut State Track Championships. Transgender athlete Terry Miller broke
the state record in the girls’100-meter dash. Andraya Yearwood, also
transgender, took second place.
Selina Soule, a female runner, not only lost to the biological males in the
championships but also lost out on valuable opportunities to be seen by college
coaches and chosen for scholarships.
Soule said about the 100-meter event: “We all know the outcome of the race
before it even starts; it’s demoralizing.”
A federal sexual orientation and gender identity law would defeat the
purpose of Title IX of the Civil Rights Act, which is supposed to guarantee
women equal educational and athletic opportunities.
Under radical gender identity policies, female athletes have sustained gruesome
injuries at the hands of male competitors. In high school
wrestling, female athletes have forfeited
rather than compete against transgender athletes on testosterone. A federal law
could set girls’ and women’s sports back permanently at every level.
5. It could be used to coerce medical professionals.
Under state sexual orientation and gender identity laws,
individuals who identify as transgender have sued Catholic hospitals in California and New
Jersey for declining to perform hysterectomies on otherwise
healthy women who wanted to pursue gender transition.
If these lawsuits succeed, medical professionals would be pressured to treat
patients according to ideology rather than their best medical judgment.
administration tried to coerce medical professionals into
offering transition-affirming therapies through a regulation in the Affordable
Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare.
Emilie Kao: The Equality Act Would Be the End of Women’s Sports
Emilie Kao discussed the Equality Act and its impact on women’s
sports on The Ingraham Angle on May 28, 2019.
6. It could lead to more parents losing custody of their children.
The politicization of medicine according to gender ideology will create more
conflicts among parents, doctors, and the government. A federal sexual
orientation and gender identity law would jeopardize parental
This has already happened. In Ohio, a judge removed a biological girl from
her parents’ custody after they declined to help her “transition” to male with
After the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Transgender
Health Clinic recommended these treatments for the girl’s gender dysphoria, the
parents wanted to pursue counseling instead. Then the county’s family services

Similar cases are proceeding through the courts with children as
young as 6 years old.
Meanwhile, studies show that 80
to 95 percent of children no longer experience gender dysphoria
after puberty. Politicizing medicine could have serious
consequences for children who are exposed to the unnecessary medical
risks of drastic therapies. A federal sexual orientation and gender identity
law would make these cases more common.
School authorities refused to change the policy even after Thomas reported
the assault. Eventually, she decided to remove her daughter from school for the
girl’s emotional well-being and physical safety.
A federal sexual orientation and gender identity law would give male sexual
predators who self-identify as females access to private facilities, increasing
the likelihood of these tragic incidents. It could also make victims less
likely to report sexual misconduct and police less likely to get
fear of being accused of discrimination.
The proposed Equality Act could impose a nationwide bathroom policy that
would leave women and children in particular vulnerable to predators. It
actually would promote inequality by elevating the ideologies of
special-interest groups to the level of protected groups in civil rights law.
The Equality Act defies the purpose of anti-discrimination
laws. The original Civil Rights Act was enacted to protect African-Americans
from being denied access to material goods and services. The Equality Act, by
contrast, would be used as a sword to attack people and force them
to adopt new ideologies about human sexuality.
This extreme and dangerous legislation would create
unprecedented harms to businesses, charities, medical professionals, women and
children, and entire families. The writing is on the wall: The Equality Act is

The blaze began in a field between the Eshkol National Park
and Kibbutz Urim, spreading throughout the grasslands and into a wooded area,
according to Fire and Rescue Department Eli Cohen.
The fire came amid heightened tensions between Israel and terror groups in
the Strip, after a rocket was launched from the coastal enclave, landing
several kilometers off shore on Monday night.
Throughout the day, Palestinians launched dozens of
incendiary devices, carried by balloons, into southern Israel from the Gaza
Strip. However, it was not immediately clear if the Eshkol fire was sparked by
one of these objects.
“At this point, the cause of the fire is not known. We will only know after
a check by fire investigators,” a spokesperson for the Eshkol region said.
Three teams of firefighters were working to put out the
fire. In addition to the Fire and Rescue Department, firefighters from the Jewish
National Fund and from the Parks Service were involved in the effort, the fire
department spokesman said.
“The teams are working together to get control over the fire and prevent it
from spreading,” Cohen said.
Due to the blaze’s location, the firefighters were not able
to bring their trucks into the area, requiring them to use smaller, hand-held
equipment to battle the flames, the fire department spokesman said.
On Tuesday, a fire broke out near Kibbutz Nahal Oz in the
Sha’ar Hanegev region. That blaze was caused by a balloon-borne incendiary
device launched into Israel from Gaza. In recent weeks, such arson attacks have
tapered off under the ceasefire brokered by Egypt last month. That fire was
quickly extinguished by a team of volunteers, the fire department said.
Also Tuesday, the Israeli military deployed Iron Dome missile defense
batteries throughout the country, following a rocket attack from Gaza the
previous night and ahead of what is expected to be a sensitive next few weeks.
The military expects the coming weeks to be particularly
tense, as they will see the start of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, the
international Eurovision song competition in Tel Aviv, Israel’s Memorial and
Independence days, and the first anniversary of the opening of the contentious
US Embassy in Jerusalem.
Following Monday’s rocket launch, Israel scaled back the permitted Gaza
fishing zone from 15 nautical miles to six until further notice. The fishing
zone had previously been extended to 15 miles — a level that the coastal
enclave has not seen in over a decade — as one of the first concessions by
Jerusalem under an unofficial ceasefire agreement with terror groups in the

While there has not been a complete cessation of violence along the Gaza
border since the ceasefire went into effect last month, the situation there has
been relatively calm. Terror groups in the Strip have threatened to bring back
regular border riots if Israel does not abide by its side of the deal.
Opinion: Israeli government has so far been dangerously
indifferent to Chinese plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in Syria
over the next 30 years, effectively cementing their presence in the
war-battered, neighboring state
04.30.19 , 01:24
When a senior Israeli security official was recently
asked who will rehabilitate Syria, ravaged by a decade-long civil war, he
replied without hesitation – the Chinese. This has been the prevailing
assumption among the high-profile Israeli security experts over the past two
years, and it’s no longer just an academic assessment.
This development requires the Israeli government to prepare for a new Middle
East in which China plays a key role. Israel’s research and assessment
institutes – both governmental and military – should have already made plans
for what happens once China establishes its presence on Syrian territory. The
Israeli government, however, seems to make decisions after the damage is
Back in 2015, Israel allowed a Chinese company to operate parts of the Haifa
port for the next 25 years, with an option to extend it for another 25. The
decision was made without fully understanding the implications of long-term
Chinese involvement in a key strategic infrastructure. The Ministry of
Transport and the Ministry of Finance were certain they were being
sophisticated and everyone would get to enjoy the crumbs of Chinese trillions.
But the crumbs come at a price when it comes to not only politics, but security
The Americans claim the Chinese involvement in the Haifa port activities is
a blow to US national security, and the day when Israel will have to decide
between US and China is not far away. As a result, the government is now trying
to hurriedly amend the arrangement with the Chinese in order to soften the blow
as far as the White House is concerned.
The Chinese involvement in Syria could be much more dramatic and
complicated. The rehabilitation of the war-battered country is a project that
would cost trillions and would most likely take decades to complete. Since the
start of the civil war in 2011, the Syrian economy had lost some $ 250 billion,
half of the country’s inranstrucure was destroyed, six million Syrians fled the
state, and an additional four million became refugees in their own homeland.
Some estimate that restoring the country to its pre-2011 condition will take
up to 30 years. The Russians don’t have the ability to invest in Syria beyond
military infrastructure, while Iran (another ally of President Bashar Assad’s
regime) needs to rehabilitate itself first following the reintroduction of US
sanctions on the Islamic Republic. The Americans have no interest in investing
there, the Europeans only seem to invest their optimistic rhetoric and not
money, while the Gulf states and Saudi Arabia would never do anything that
could potentially strengthen the Assad regime due to its close relationship
This leaves the Chinese – who have both money and interest, as part of their
$900 billion New Silk Route initiative – as the only ones capable to take on a
project of this scale. The plan includes a construction of land and sea routes
connecting China with Europe’s largest market, while simultaneously creating
Chinese dominance of future global communications. China doesn’t differentiate
between national security and economic initiatives. The New Silk Road is
designed to ensure China’s global dominance vis-a-vis the US and Russia
Syria will never be able to pay back the Chinese government, therefore, it
will be a repeat of the investment model Beijing officials have established in
Africa. China is building infrastructure in many African countries and since
they are unable to repay the mounting debts, the Chinese companies are taking
over these countries’ natural resources and subjugating state policies to
accommodate China’s interests.
China is now involved in the economies of more than 60 countries in Asia,
Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Some of these countries have become
completely enslaved by the Chinese interests. Once China has poured hundreds of
billions of dollars into Syria, the Russians will sit quietly in the port of
Tartus – leased to them by Assad for the next 49 years – trying to protect
their assets. The Iranians will also have to behave themselves.
Israel, meanwhile, will have to deal with the fact that our border with
Syria will be under the Chinese jurisdiction. When will the Israeli government
begin preparing for this inevitable scenario? Most likely the day after it
Israel will prevent Iran
from using cross-border tunnels from Lebanon as a “weapon of aggression”
against it, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News on Thursday, two
days after the Israel Defense Forces launched Operation Northern Shield to
expose and neutralize terror tunnels dug by Iranian-backed terrorist group
The interview was held just hours after Netanyahu toured Israel’s northern
border with reporters and diplomats. Excerpts were aired on Saturday.
Asked about Iran and the threat it posed together with Hezbollah,
Netanyahu said: “They want not only to conquer all Muslims who don’t share
their faith or subjugate and kill them, [but also] go against all the infidels.
And guess who the great Satan is? The U.S. And who the small Satan is? Israel.
We just happen to be closer.”
“We are just preventing them from taking over the Middle East, they are
trying to mask their campaign to get nuclear weapons; that has to be stopped,”
Netanyahu stressed that the cross-border tunnels that Israel has discovered,
and is working to neutralize, dug from Lebanon into Israeli territory, underscore
Iran’s efforts to target Israel before it acquires nuclear weapons.
“The second thing that they want to do is to use their proxies, principally
Hezbollah, [as] the forward arm to attack Israel with the goal of destroying
continued. “As part of that, Hezbollah is building terror tunnels under Israeli
territory; we have known that for several years, [and] a few days ago we tore
the mask off, uncovered the first tunnel, and we are going to uncover the rest
and deprive Iran of this weapon of aggression.”
“I hope countries will take the U.S.’s lead on this. It [the U.S.] is
bringing a resolution to the General Assembly … daring countries [to] stand
up to the truth,” Netanyahu said.
The tunnels are reportedly designed to allow Hezbollah operatives to
infiltrate Israel in the event of a war, thus overcoming the border barriers
Israel has placed above ground. The military has not disclosed how many tunnels
snake into Israeli territory from Lebanon or how long the operation is
going to last. The Israeli operation has been limited to Israeli territory.
Have you ever wondered if there is evidence of the divine within the biological makeup of our human form? If God really did create us, and if in Christ “all things hold together” as scripture attests, then wouldn’t it be possible for Him to could leave a mark in our very cells to show us He was behind the work of art we call life?
Well, that is exactly what evangelist Louie Giglio sought to explore in a timeless clip that recently resurfaced on Facebook. Giglio talks (video below) of meeting a molecular biologist following a preaching event in Texas. As the two got chatting, the man revealed something absolutely extraordinary to Giglio that links the human body to the glory of God in Christ.
“I said I’m on my way back home to Atlanta Georgia. Gonna be preaching the next two Sunday’s,” Giglio recalls telling the biologist. When Louie was asked what he was preaching on, he answered: “The series is on the glory of God and the human body. He says ‘that’s really amazing because I’m a molecular biologist at the University down the road.’”
After hearing a brief outline of his sermon, the biologist wanted to know what Louie was going to use as his grand finale to hammer home the point of God being glorified through our biological structures.
“He said ‘what’s your big left hook?’” explained Giglio.
Louie had nothing.
“He said ‘your left hook is laminin!’”
Giglio, completely baffled, had absolutely no idea what the scientist was talking about. What was “laminin”?
“He says ‘Louie, it’s a cell adhesion molecule; a protein molecule.’ ‘Louie, cells organize into certain molecular structures and that determines what protein they are. ‘”
What does all that mean?
“There are between 10 and 60,000 proteins in the human body,” Giglio explains.
“One of them is a cell adhesion molecule. It’s organized into this certain structure. That tells the cell what its job is in the body. He said ‘It’s like the steel they put in the concrete when they lay the foundations. It’s holding your membranes together. It’s the glue of the human body, Louie, it’s laminin. You’ve gotta tell them about laminin.’”
But it wasn’t enough just to talk about it.
“You’ve gotta see laminin!” the biologist urged.
Louie went home and googled what it looked like. This is what appeared on his computer screen:
“Now, c’mon, that’s crazy!” Giglio said as the picture is revealed to the audience. “The stuff that holds our bodies together is in the perfect shape of the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
“Everything holds together in Jesus Christ,” declares Giglio.
So, what exactly is laminin?
Well, according to GotQuestions.com, laminin is a protein that acts as “glue” in the human body:
“Laminin is the name used for a family of proteins that serve many useful functions in biology. The most important property of laminin’s is their ability to easily bind to each other and to other proteins. This makes laminin a critical means of holding tissues and organs together. It has been described as the protein equivalent of glue,” the website explains.
Despite the tremendously interesting points made by Giglio, others have sought to refute his claims and debunk the idea of laminin being shaped perfectly like a cross:
“From a practical standpoint, the shape of laminin is neither unique nor extraordinarily similar to a cross. When drawn as a two-dimensional diagram, with three short arms and one long, it certainly looks like a crucifix. However, in actual three-dimensional space, laminins are not clean, flat, t-shaped structures,” GotQuestions.com continues in their explainer article.
“They have also been described as looking like flowers, jacks, or pyramids. The t-shape itself is neither complex nor uncommon in nature. Beyond that, there are many simple shapes found in nature that could be correlated to other, non-Christian spiritual beliefs.
The author goes further, arguing that many other elements of our biology point toward a much darker spiritual meaning:
“Viewed from the top, the DNA helix looks similar to a yin yang symbol from Chinese philosophy. Other molecules in DNA are shaped like pentagrams, a common shape in Satanic art.”
Indeed, in response to the evangelical community’s excitement over the shape of laminin, others in the scientific field have been keen to point out some of the destructive elements of the protein itself. As Magnus von Knebel Doeberitz, M.D explains:
“Laminin is the predominant noncollagenous glycoprotein in the basement membrane beneath epithelial surfaces. Various laminin isoforms play an important role in physiologic and pathologic processes, including cancer progression and tumor cell dissemination. The interaction of cancer cells with laminin appears to be a key event in invasion and dissemination of tumor cells.”
So, what about the uncanny resemblance to the cross? Well, one commentator highlights that laminin can also look like this:
Dr. Georgia Purdom at creationist organization Answers In Genesis takes a different view. In an article entitled “Laminin and the Cross,” she attempts to explain some of the theological criticisms leveled at Giglio.
“The main problem with this type of argument is that it appears that something outside of Scripture (in this case, laminin) is vital to know the truthfulness of a biblical truth,” Purdom writes.
“Laminin is used to prove a biblical truth. However, we should never use our fallible, finite understanding of the world to judge the infallible Word of God. What we observe in the world can certainly be used to confirm God’s Word (and it does), but our finite observations are not in a position to evaluate the infinite things of God. Only if we start with the Bible as our ultimate standard can we have a worldview that is rational and makes sense of the evidence.”
Ah, there will always be skeptics; but it is pretty still fascinating – right?
“How can you know that God is going to hold you together and bring you through?” asks Giglio as he wraps up the captivating talk.
“You know because there is a cross standing over history,” he declares.
“It is the place where the star-breather became the sin-bearer. Where the universe-maker became mankind’s savior. God doesn’t always change the circumstances, but the cross is also proof that God always has a purpose in the circumstances, and that His purpose and his plan will prevail and will triumph in this world.”
Two London publications on the same day, Thursday, Nov. 17, shed unusual light on the next chapter in Saud royal history, as well as on the hitherto semi-clandestine ties between Riyadh and Jerusalem.
The London Daily Mail, quoting “a source close to the Saudi royal family” reported that King Salman, 91, intends to give up the throne next week and name his son, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, 32 as his successor. The king will reportedly confine himself to ceremonial duties like “the queen of England,” retaining only the title of “Custodian of the Holy Shrines.”
Near two weeks ago, Prince Muhammad ordered 500 notables, including princes, former ministers and business leaders detained on charges of corruption. The British newspaper carried the first photos of the distinguished detainees sleeping on mattresses on the floor of the five-star Carlton Ritz Riyadh.
After he is crowned king, the prince will focus on Iran, according the Daily Mail. His plan is “to start the fire in Lebanon, in the hope of Israeli military backing.” He is convinced he has to hit Iran and Hizballah – contrary to the advice of the royal family – and will enlist the help of the Israeli military to crush Hizballah, for which he has promised Israel billions of dollars if they agree.”
The source stressed: MBS can’t confront Hizballah in Lebanon without Israel. The Daily Mail did not reveal how Israel sees this proposition – only that the prince has a Plan B: to fight Hizballah in Syria. Neither did its source explain how this would come about amid a crumbling Syrian insurgency.
DEBKAfile’s Middle East sources note that rumors of King Salman’s imminent abdication and handover to his son Muhammad have been around for some time and are credible, given the monarch’s failing health. Many of the hundreds of high-profile figures he placed under detention on Nov. 4 are opposed to his accession.
That the Crown Prince will focus on Iran is also credible – except that more than a year ago, he declared that Saudi Arabia was at war with the Islamic Republic in Yemen and it is not going very well. The Saudis and their allies, the UAE, are stuck in a standoff with the Iranian-backed Yemeni Houthi rebels. Iran moreover threatens their ports and capital cities with missile strikes. However, when the Houthis fired a ballistic missile supplied by Iran at Riyadh international Airport on Nov. 4, Prince Muhammad called it an act of war.
He is turning to Israel and its armed forces, not just as the only reliable military and intelligence force capable of handling the opening shots of the war on Iran, but out of their shared perception of Iran as the biggest threat to the Middle East. He moreover no longer expects active and determined participation in fighting Iran from the US under President Donald Trump. On this last point, Saudi Arabia and Israel are divided.
In an interview with the London-based, Saudi-owned news site Elaph – his first with a Saudi publication – that was published on the same day as the Daily Mail story, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen Gady Eisenkot laid out what he thinks are Iran’s ambitions in the Middle East: “The Iranian plan is to control the Middle East by means of two Shiite crescents. The first from Iran through Iraq to Syria and Lebanon, and the second from Bahrain through to Yemen until the Red Sea,” he said, adding: “This is what must be prevented in the region.”
“With [US] President Donald Trump, there is an opportunity for a new international coalition in the region,” he said, citing the US, Arab nations including Saudi Arabia and Israel “for stopping the Iranian threat.” “We are ready to exchange experiences with moderate Arab countries and exchange intelligence to confront Iran,” he added. While the Israeli general stressed the importance of the Trump administration’s role in this effort, the DailyMail’s Saudi source did not mention the United States at all.
So while the prince who may be crowned Saudi king next week and Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu agree that Iran is the biggest threat to the region and beyond, they are at odds on how to cut it down and who should lead the effort. Prince Muhammad’s thinking on this resembles the Israel’s approach to the Iranian threat five years ago, that if the IDF decided to go it alone, the Americans will jump in later. But today, Eisenkott reflected a different approach. He stressed in the interview that Israel “isn’t interested in a war now with the Iranian-backed Lebanese terror group Hizballah, despite Iranian attempts to bring about an escalation.”
Riyadh may take this as Israel’s reply to prince Muhammad’s plan: Several billion dollars will not persuade Israel to send the IDF to fight a war except in its direct national interest, even though Israel and Saudi leaders and military chiefs are in complete accord on the Iranian peril.
