Another Major Disaster Hits The U.S. – A Massive ‘Firestorm’ Is Burning Tens Of Thousands Of Acres In Northern California

By Michael Snyder, on October 9th, 2017

The nation is still reeling from a series of major disasters in recent weeks, and now another one has hit us.  At this moment, an enormous “firestorm” is consuming tens of thousands of acres in eight counties in northern California. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are rapidly driving 15 large wildfires across Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Yuba, Nevada, Calaveras and Butte counties, and the devastation that is taking place is being described as “like Armageddon”.  Ultimately, it looks like this is going to be one of the worst months for wildfires in the history of the state, and all of this comes on the heels of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma and the Las Vegas shooting.  Ever since late August, it seems like all hell has broken loose in America.

So far at least 1,500 structures have been destroyed, at least 20,000 people have been evacuated and at least 73,000 acres have been burned.  The smell of smoke has reached San Jose, Oakland and San Francisco, and California Governor Jerry Brown has officially declared a state of emergency.

If these wildfires were just consuming isolated parts of northern California, this wouldn’t be such a big story.  The reason why this crisis is getting so much attention from the national media is because some of these fires are raging “unchecked through high-end resorts, grocery stores and tree-lined neighborhoods”

More than a dozen wildfires whipped by powerful winds swept through California wine country Monday, destroying at least 1,500 homes and businesses and sending thousands fleeing as flames raged unchecked through high-end resorts, grocery stores and tree-lined neighborhoods.

As he fled through the ember-stewn streets of his neighborhood in Santa Rosa, Jeff Okrepkie knew it was probably the last time he would see his home of the past five years standing.

His worst fears were confirmed Monday morning, when a friend sent him a photo of what was left: a smoldering heap of burnt metal and debris.

Could you imagine how helpless you would feel if you were forced to evacuate and you knew that your home and everything that you owned was about to be consumed by fire?

That is what thousands of northern Californians are facing right now.  In fact, many are getting out with so little time to spare that they can literally feel the heat from the flames as they drive away

“It was an inferno like you’ve never seen before,” said Marian Williams, who caravanned with neighbors before dawn as one of the wildfires reached the vineyards and ridges at her small Sonoma County town of Kenwood.

Ms Williams could feel the heat of her fire through the car as she fled. “Trees were on fire like torches,” she said.

At this point, Santa Rosa appears to be getting hit worse than just about anywhere else.

According to Cal Fire director Ken Pimlott, one major neighborhood within the city has already been completely destroyed

When winds pushed the Tubbs fire into Santa Rosa on Sunday night, it created “a firestorm within a city,” Cal Fire director Ken Pimlott said.

“It’s fair to say it’s been destroyed,” Pimlot said of Santa Rosa’s Fountaingrove neighborhood. Hotels, a big box store and a high school burned as the flames danced around the 101 Freeway.

“Late last night starting around 10 o’clock you had 50-60 mph winds that surfaced — really across the whole northern half of the state,” he said. “Every spark is going to ignite.”

Authorities are telling us that the big box store that was destroyed was a Kmart, and the hotel that was burned to the ground was a Hilton.  But even more disturbing was what happened to Journey’s End retirement community

In Santa Rosa, the fire gutted a Hilton hotel and flattened the Journey’s End retirement community, a trailer park not far from the freeway that crosses the city. Most of the trailers were leveled, leaving a smoldering debris field of household appliances, filing cabinets and the charred personal effects of more than 100 residents. Pieces of ash fell like snowflake flurries, and a pall of white smoke across the city blotted out the sun.

Insurance will cover the Kmart and the Hilton, but it is probably fair to say that a lot of the people living in that trailer park did not have adequate coverage.

Sadly, many of them will now be forced to start over with essentially nothing.

I don’t know if you have noticed, but wildfires are becoming a much bigger problem than they used to be.  We were already not too far behind the record pace that was set in 2015, and if this month continues to be really bad we could potentially set the all-time national record for number of acres burned in a single year by the end of 2017.

As I discuss in my brand new book entitled “Living A Life That Really Matters”, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable.  And for those living in the state of California, I would be extremely concerned about all of the shaking that we have been witnessing along the North American portion of the “Ring of Fire” lately.  The experts assure us that we are way overdue for “the Big One”, and when it happens it is going to be the worst disaster in the modern history of the state.

But hopefully things will start to settle down for at least a little while in our nation, because we have been put through quite a lot lately.  After Harvey, Irma, Las Vegas and now these California wildfires, we could definitely use some time to recover.

MOST IMPORTANT POST: Why Most Christian Churches Refuse To Preach The Truth About The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ

Go to your average mega-church where thousands will gather on a Sunday, and you will hear happy, upbeat messages about how God has a “wonderful plan” for your life. What you will not hear is that when Jesus returns at the Second Coming, He stomps His enemies the same way you stomp grapes, with the literal blood of the fallen staining His white robes.

by Geoffrey Grider October 8, 2017

When you remove Bible doctrine for the Christian in the Church Age, you are left with little more than fairy tales and fables.

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” Revelation 19:11 (KJV)

In America today, there are roughly 300,000 churches claiming to represent Jesus Christ, that’s an average of 6,000 churches per state. That’s a lot of churches. So why are so many professing Christians ignorant about the main theme of the Bible? Because there is not one in a thousand that preaches Bible doctrine, and not one in ten thousand that believes the book of Revelation is a road map of the future.

What is the main theme of the Bible, you ask? From cover to cover, the main theme of the Bible is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to rule and reign as King over all the nations, literally, physically and visibly. I will pause here for a moment as you struggle to collect your thoughts, your mind reeling from trying to process this “strange teaching” that your pastor never touches on in your church.

When Paul commanded Timothy to study the word like a “workman”, and to learn to “rightly divide” the truth of scripture, he was giving us a template for proper Bible study. Making necessary divisions like between Old Testament – New Testament, Jews – Christians – Gentiles, etc, takes away the confusion and seeming contradictions present when casually studying from a high level. Paul also says that in the end times, Bible doctrine will thrown out the window, leaving the average Christian in the dark about the future.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 2:3,4 (KJV)

When you remove Bible doctrine for the Christian in the Church Age, you are left with little more than fairy tales and fables. Joel Osteen has famously stated that the reason he refuses to preach on Hell and the coming judgment is because “most Christians are beaten down enough”. Hmm, I guess Joel knows better what a Christian needs than God does, because God commands us to study about the things that are about to come upon all the earth.

Paul says that in the end times Christians will “not endure sound doctrine” and so it is. The main reason they “won’t endure” it is because most preachers won’t preach it. So with that introduction, let’s get to today’s lesson on why pastors refuse to preach the truth about the Second Coming of Jesus. I have boiled it down to easy to read bullet points for those of you who are easily exhausted by actual Bible study.

The Top 5 Reasons Pastors Refuse To Preach On The Truth Of The Second Coming:

  1. THE RETURNING JESUS IS REPULSIVE TO THE LAODICEAN CHRISTIAN: Go to your average mega-church where thousands will gather on a Sunday, and you will hear happy, upbeat messages about how God has a “wonderful plan” for your life. What you will not hear is that when Jesus returns at the Second Coming, He stomps His enemies the same way you stomp grapes, with the literal blood of the fallen staining His white robes. Not only that, His eyes are gleaming while He does it.  This imagery does not fit well with Laodicean slop like The Power Of I Am, and The Purpose Driven Life. But the Bible clearly and plainly teaches that the returning Jesus is coming to claim His Kingdom, and anyone who gets in the way will be flattened instantly. “His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” Revelation 19:13 (KJV)
  2. THE DAY OF THE LORD IS FILLED WITH TERROR AND DARKNESS: Your average Laodicean pastor hardly ever mentions the Second Coming, but when they do, it’s usually something along of the lines of this. “One fine day, Jesus will return and the world will live in peace and harmony, and there will be no more social injustice and everyone will be happy”. What he doesn’t tell you is that the Day Jesus comes back, the world is thrown into terrifying darkness, and that Jesus has come to rule this world as a military dictator. Joel has this to say about that Day – “Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.” Joel 1:15 (KJV). John has this to say about the military dictatorship – “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” Revelation 19:15 (KJV). And I could give you dozens of verses more, from both Testaments, proving what I say is true.
  3. CHRISTIANS ARE NOT ‘BRINGING IN THE KINGDOM’: Have you ever sat in church and listened to the pastor waxed eloquently about “bringing in the kingdom”, and that we must all “work together” to establish God’s kingdom here on Earth? They do that so they can justify building programs, staff expansions, new locations and all the rest. People who are fooled into thinking they are “bringing in the kingdom” are willing to give large sums of money and provide free labor. Those two things are exactly why pastors preach like that. But the Bible says nothing about anyone bringing in the Kingdom except for Jesus Christ at the Second Coming. The only kingdom that humans are creating is the kingdom of Antichrist that will oppose Jesus when He returns. “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10 (KJV).
  4. JERUSALEM AS THE CENTER OF THE WORLD IS ABHORRENT TO MOST PASTORS: Because most pastors and preachers in America today are not Bible believers, they spiritualize and make metaphor out of clear and plain Bible teaching. Scripture absolutely teaches a literal, visible and physical rule of the returned Jesus, who is now King of Kings, over all the nations of the Earth, and on His Throne in Jerusalem. Let me put it to you more plainly. When Jesus returns, people will be able to travel to Israel and see with their eyes Jesus ruling in righteousness from the actual land mass called Israel. This will take place for one thousand literal, actual calendar years. Don’t believe it? Then you don’t believe the Bible. Isaiah says: “For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.” Isaiah 66:18-20 (KJV). Zechariah says: “And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.” Zechariah 14:9 (KJV). John says: “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6 (KJV).
  5. THE BOOK OF REVELATION IS TOO UNPLEASANT TO CONSIDER: Ask the average Laodicean Christian about the book of Revelation, and more often than not you will hear them say that it’s a “symbolic book” that contains “confusing and dark” references to things that “no one can really understand”. The average Christian pastor, from any denomination, feels the same way, too. Now I’ll grant you that, like a Swiss watch, there are a lot of “moving parts” in the book of Revelation. It’s complex for sure, but far from being “unknowable”. But the real reason why Christians turn away from Revelation is not that it “cannot be understood”, but rather that what it contains is too repulsive to contemplate. Revelation shows us the collapse of the professing Christian church into apostasy in chapter 3, the rapture of the Church in chapter 4, Jesus releasing Antichrist in chapter 6, and from there we see virtually unlimited death, destruction and terrifying judgments. So bad in fact that men’s hearts “failing them for fear”. Christians tell me all the time that, while they are looking forward to seeing Jesus, they don’t want the Rapture to take place before they can get married and have kids. So pastors don’t preach on the Pretrib Rapture because they want their flock focusing on things of Earth like building programs and fundraisers. “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” Luke 21:25,26 (KJV).

Now you know why your church doesn’t preach Bible doctrine and why your pastor is deceiving you with fluff stories and fairy tales. Because the truth is too terrible to contemplate, and it’s bad for business. Now, if you’ve decided you actually like Bible doctrine and want to know more about what your pastor is hiding from you, click here to read our Bible Doctrine library.

It will help you to be ready for what comes next.

Something Very Strange Is Happening In The New Madrid Region: The Mississippi River Is Drying Up In Some Areas – Another Warning Sign Of A Devastating Quake In The Near Future?

By Stefan Stanford – All News Pipeline – Live Free Or Die

‘The preacher man says it’s the end of time. And the Mississippi River she’s a-goin’ dry’ – Hank Williams Jr. – Country Boys Can Survive

While most Americans eyes are glued upon Las Vegas, Nevada and what appears to be a massive false flag event there with shooter Stephen Paddock most likely not just an ‘ordinary white man’ as the msm would like us to believe but someone who’s been radicalized by either Islamic or Antifa terrorist propaganda, we thank people like videographers MrMBB333 and On Point Preparedness for keeping track of the bizarre earth changes that are now happening before our eyes and in none other than the New Madrid fault region.

While the ‘Ring of Fire’ has been on fire as shared in this recent Strange Sounds story warning that a string of catastrophic events along the Ring of Fire point to a potentially ‘much bigger event’ in the near future and while this East Bay Times story reports that an ‘earthquake thermometer’ shows that the Los Angeles region is near the ‘boiling point’, little reported is that the southern Illinois area just had its strongest quake in 6 years. And as we hear in each of the first 4 videos below, something very strange is happening now in the New Madrid region as water is vanishing along various points of the Mississippi River.

While most Americans likely never believed we’d hear the words of Hank Williams Jr. ‘Country Boys Can Survive’ song coming true before our very eyes, as videographer MrMBB333 tells us, parts of the Mississippi MAY be vanishing away into cracks in the ground. And just like Williams lyrics, “The preacher man say’s it’s the end of time. And the Mississippi River she’s a-goin’ dry”. For those in the mood for some Hank Williams Jr., that song is the last video at the bottom of this story.

As we see in the graphic above screenshot from over at Earthquake Track, a series of small earthquakes have recently struck the New Madrid region over the past 14 days with the 3 biggest quakes in the series coming in the past few days as we hear from our videographer in the 2nd video below. Interestingly, these recent quakes are also happening in the same area as where portions of the Mississippi are running dry. Just a coincidence? As our videographer asks, is the water disappearing into cracks in the surface of the Earth, possibly caused by the New Madrid fault re-awakening?

We feel that it’s probably not a coincidence that so many different ‘earth changes’ are now happening all around the world  with a horrific rockslide recently in Yosemite Park a possible precursor to a massive West Coast/California quake coming soon after a behemoth 8.1 quake struck Mexico, sending its shock waves all across America for several hours afterwards as detailed and proven in this recent Strange Sounds story.

As we see in the graphic above from the USGS, the New Madrid region is one of the ‘hot zones’ for earthquakes in the United States along with the entire West coast. While the last truly major earthquakes in the New Madrid region happened all the way back in 1800’s with a series of major quakes between 1811 and 1812, as we see in the 2nd graphic below, major damage from the 1895 magnitude 6 quake was experienced across parts of 8 different states and the shaking was felt as far away as New York, Washington DC, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana.

In this September 21st story over at Time they ask “Is The US Overdue For A Catastrophic Earthquake?” while outlining the cities across the US that are at the most risk while not surprisingly highlighting all of California and the Pacific Northwest. Warning in each of these cases its a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’ and ‘its just a matter of time’, a New Madrid quake in 2017 could be beyond catastrophic we’re told with millions of people now living in a region only sparsely populated more than 200 years ago when a quake that would have measured 7.6 on the richter scale sent the Mississippi River briefly flowing backwards.

And while some ‘experts’ warn its nearly impossible to tell when the next killer quake will strike America, we’ve found that listening to ‘alternative media personalities’ such as MrMBB333 and ‘DutchSinse’ and ‘On Point Preparedness’ are giving the world a point of view that’s needed and as has been documented over and over again, earthquake predictions being made by these people ARE coming true whether or not the msm apparatus wants to believe it so or not.

And while of course we’re not in the position to guarantee that a massive New Madrid quake will be forthcoming in a matter of days or weeks, we along with countless others appreciate the efforts that these videographers make to warn Americans of  anomalies such as the Mississippi drying up in certain places. The first video below from videographer MrMBB333 titled “Mississippi River going dry ABOVE New Madrid Fault – Crack in ground?” has over 70,000 views already!

The third video below from our same videographer asks a great question, “where is the Mississippi River water going?  Going DRY not long after historic floods!” Any ideas, please let us know what you think in the comment section below. As even the USGS admits, earthquakes have long rattled the ‘Earth’s plumbing systems‘.

In this June 27th of 2017 story over at NASA they report that ‘solar minimum’ is now coming. Warning within their story that every 11 years or so, ‘sunspots fade away’, they report we’re now heading towards a low point expected to be reached sometime in 2019 or 2020. Days later on July 3rd, Newsweek reported “the sun is getting quieter and is displaying some very weird behavior” and as we hear in the 4th video below from On Point Preparedness, some of the biggest quakes in the history of the New Madrid have also occurred during ‘solar minimum’.

While it’s been argued by some that a New Madrid quake in the present day that rivaled those of the 1800’s could quite literally split America in two, causing the Great Lakes to overflow and the Mississippi River to widen all the way south to the Gulf of Mexico as seen in ‘The Future Map of North America’ above that was detailed in this Forbes story, we won’t hold our breaths waiting for such an event.

We simply see the videos below as more possible warning signs of ‘mass earth changes’ ahead, changes that as preppers we should be preparing for each and every day, anyways. We have long been warned by the Bible that our planet Earth would one day again be going through major ‘birth pangs’, information now scientifically proven as shared in this book by John L. Casey called “Upheaval!: Why Catastrophic Earthquakes Will Soon Strike the United States.

Schools Across England Removing All Calendar References To Jesus Christ By Switching To CE And BCE

The traditional terms BC, Before Christ, and AD, Anno Domini, are being ditched for BCE – Before Common Era, and CE – Common Era. The new terms still denote the periods before and after the birth of Christ. Local authority committees drawing up religious education syllabuses say the old terms may upset minorities or non-believers. But critics blasted the move as a ‘capitulation to political correctness’.

by Geoffrey Grider October 2, 2017

Schools across the country have stopped using the terms BC and AD in religious education lessons for fear of offending non-Christians.

“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:16 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: For hundreds of years, the world has used a calendar where each and every year is a direct reference to Jesus of Nazareth. Now in the country from whence the King James Bible first came into being, those references – AD and BC – are being removed from all calendars in the school systems. It is being replaced with CE for ‘common era’ and BCE ‘before the common era’ so favored by atheists, agnostics and Jehovah’s Witnesses. As we get closer to the Rapture of the Church, the world being left behind is preparing to meet Antichrist.

Former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey said the rulings by the religious education committees were a ‘great shame’.

Muslim and Jewish leaders were also mystified, saying they were not offended by the familiar terms.

Local authority committees – known as Standing Advisory Councils for Religious Education (SACREs) – from Brighton and Essex are among a growing number urging heads to ditch BC and AD.

The syllabus for schools in East Sussex, for example, reads: ‘BCE and CE are now used in order to show sensitivity to those who are not Christians.’

Lord Carey said: ‘I have never met a Muslim or Jewish leader who is offended by the Gregorian calendar’ while leading Imam Ibrahim Mogra said: ‘I don’t believe it causes Muslims offence.’ A spokesman for the Board of Deputies of British Jews said: ‘I don’t think anyone would mind if in mainstream schools they use BC and AD.’

Chris McGovern, the chairman of the Campaign for Real Education, said: removing BC and AD ‘is a capitulation to political correctness’.

National Association of Standing Advisory Councils on Religious Education chair Paul Smalley said: ‘Individual SACREs and schools can make a judgment over which form of dating is appropriate.’

Troubling Signs of the Biblical End Times?: ‘This Is No Joke’ According to Highly-Regarded Megachurch Pastor

September 19, 2017

Pastor Greg Laurie, founder of the Harvest Crusades and senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside and Irvine, California, believes that there are some troubling “signs of the times” that are worth paying close attention to, specifically when it comes to end times Bible prophecy.

“We need to be students of Bible prophecy,” he recently said on “The Billy Hallowell Podcast.” “I believe if we understand it correctly, it will just motivate us to live godly lives and do all that we can to reach our generation while we can.”

Laurie warned that people can often make the mistake of either over —or under — emphasizing eschatology (the study of the end times) and detailed some troubling trends that he believes could indicate that we’re moving closer toward biblical fulfillment.

“North Korea — this is a big thing. I don’t think people understand. This is no joke,” Laurie said. “This dictator has the power now to deliver nuclear weapons. For a number of years, I’ve been talking about this.”

Listen to Laurie dive deep into Bible prophecy below:

Laurie, who also appeared on the podcast to discuss his upcoming film, “Steve McQueen: American Icon,” lamented the relationship between North Korea and Iran, warning that the latter country “plays a key role in the last days scenario as one of the allies that marches … against Israel.”

“You know, just pull the camera back, I would say these are signs of the times,” he said. “They’re reminders that Jesus is coming and as Christians, we need to be really praying for our president, if we voted for him or not. He is the man that God has put in that office, if you like it or not.”

3 Large Earthquakes And A Major Volcanic Eruption In Mexico Spark Fears That The Big One Could Hit California Soon

September 24, 2017 by Michael Snyder

The portion of “the Ring of Fire” that runs along the west coast of North America is starting to shake like a leaf. As most of you already know, the outer perimeter of the Pacific Ocean is known for high levels of seismic activity, and the experts tell us that more than 80 percent of all earthquakes and more than 70 percent of all volcanic eruptions take place within the Ring of Fire. The North American section of the Ring of Fire has been relatively quiet for an extended period of time, but now all of the shaking down in Mexico is causing a tremendous amount of concern. In fact, some now fear that all of the shaking down there may be a harbinger of things to come for California.

Within the last 30 days, there have been three major earthquakes in Mexico. This latest one was a magnitude 6.2 earthquake, and it was accompanied by an eruption of Mt. Popocatepetl

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake that shook Mexico on Saturday was blamed for five deaths, spreading fear among a population reeling from multiple natural disasters and interrupting the search for survivors from a bigger tremor earlier this week.

South of Mexico City, the Popocatepetl volcano sent a column of ash into the sky, capping a period of seismic activity including two powerful tremors this month that have killed more than 400 people and caused damages of up to $8 billion.

Mexico’s capital was shattered by Tuesday’s magnitude 7.1 quake that flattened dozens of buildings and killed at least 307 people.

Of course the magnitude 8.1 earthquake that hit Mexico back on September 7th was the largest earthquake that we have seen down there in ages.

The earthquakes are getting most of the attention from the media, and without a doubt they have caused extensive damage, but Mt. Popocatepetl may be of even greater concern. It has “registered 181 low-intensity exhalations” in recent days, and on Saturday it erupted explosively three times.

A catastrophic eruption of Mt. Popocatepetl would be a nightmare beyond anything that we have witnessed in the modern history of Mexico. The volcano sits only about 50 miles away from Mexico City, and there are close to 25 million people living in the Mexico City metropolitan area. In recent years, smoke and ash from minor eruptions of Mt. Popocatepetl have reached the city, but most people living there have absolutely no idea how immensely powerful the volcano truly is.

Popocatepetl is an ancient Aztec word that can be translated as “smoking mountain”, and centuries ago enormous mud flows from the mountain buried entire Aztec cities

Historians tell us that Popocatepetl had a dramatic impact on the ancient Aztecs. Giant mud flows produced by massive eruptions covered entire Aztec cities. In fact, some of these mud flows were so large that they buried entire pyramids in super-heated mud.

But we haven’t witnessed anything like that in any of our lifetimes, so it is hard to even imagine devastation of that magnitude.

In addition to Mexico City’s mammoth population, there are millions of others that live in the surrounding region. Overall, there are about 25 million people that live in the immediate vicinity of Popocatepetl. Thankfully, we haven’t seen a major eruption of the volcano in modern times, but at some point that will change.

As seismic activity rattles Mexico, many living on the California coast are beginning to take notice.

In fact, it is being reported that there was a run on emergency supplies after a magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck near San Jose…

Last week residents of San Jose were reportedly stocking up on emergency supplies over fears the area will be hit by a massive earthquake.

The city was shaken by a number of tremors including a strong 3.3 magnitude quake that was felt throughout the region.

San Jose is situated precariously close to the San Andreas fault line, an 800-mile fissure that runs almost the length of California.

Scientists agree that large swathes of southern California – including Los Angeles and San Diego – are long overdue a “Big One” earthquake of magnitude 7 or more.

And just last Friday, it was reported that a magnitude 5.7 earthquake “struck off the northern coast of California”

A preliminary-magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck off the coast of Northern California on Friday afternoon, but there was no threat of a tsunami, officials said.

The quake’s epicenter was 133.6 miles west-southwest of Eureka, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Its depth was measured at 3.6 miles.

Scientists assure us that someday the west coast will be hit by a major tsunami. It literally is just a matter of time. In fact, the Los Angeles Times reported on one study that discovered that a magnitude 9.0 earthquake along the Cascadia fault could potentially produce a tsunami which would “wash away coastal towns”…

If a 9.0 earthquake were to strike along California’s sparsely populated North Coast, it would have a catastrophic ripple effect.

A giant tsunami created by the quake would wash away coastal towns, destroy U.S. 101 and cause $70 billion in damage over a large swath of the Pacific coast. More than 100 bridges would be lost, power lines toppled and coastal towns isolated. Residents would have as few as 15 minutes notice to flee to higher ground, and as many as 10,000 would perish.

Scientists last year published this grim scenario for a massive rupture along the Cascadia fault system, which runs 700 miles off shore from Northern California to Vancouver Island.

And don’t forget about the volcanoes on the west coast either. Mt. Rainier is known as “the most dangerous mountain in America” for a reason, and in my apocalyptic novel entitled The Beginning Of The End I show why this is the case. Someday Mt. Rainier will erupt again, and you don’t want to be around what that happens.

As recent weeks have clearly demonstrated, our planet is become increasingly unstable.

For the moment, much of the American population is still extremely complacent, but I have a feeling that won’t last for too much longer. A great shaking is coming, and most people in this country will be completely blindsided by it

Active Volcano Mt. Rainer Shaken By ‘Swarm’ Of 23 Earthquakes

by Tyler Durden

Sep 21, 2017 9:50 PM

Don’t panic – it’s only an active volcano. What’s the worst that could happen?

Some two dozen earthquakes have shaken Washington State’s Mt. Rainer over the past two weeks – but seismologists say people who live nearby shouldn’t panic.

“In the past, these swarms last a couple of days to a week or so and then die out,” said Paul Bodin, of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network at the University of Washington.

The first of the 23 quakes struck on Sept. 11 near the volcano’s summit. The largest of the quakes registered magnitude 1.6. During the same period, Mexico experienced two of the deadliest earthquakes in decades.

According to the Seattle Times, earthquake swarms typically don’t signify that an eruption is imminent.

“So I’m treating this as a single eyebrow raised halfway,” [Bodin] wrote. “Yeah, I see you and will be watching, but I don’t think you’re going to attack.”

Most volcanic quake swarms are caused by changes in temperature or groundwater pressure underneath the volcano that causes cracking in the rocks. The recent quakes have been shallow, suggesting that they are not connected to the deep movement of magma – which would be a much more ominous signal.

While we might be tempted to dismiss the ongoing quake swarms under normal circumstances, persistent rumblings underneath another powerful volcano located two states over in Wyoming. The Yellowstone Caldera has experienced more than 1,400 low-level quakes since mid-June, alarming scientists who say that an eruption of the yellowstone “supervolcano” could cause potentially hundreds of thousands of deaths across the US.  Those quakes followed the strongest earthquake recorded in Montana in more than three decades. Anecdotally, it would seem, seismic activity across the US appears to be on the rise.

To be sure, the ST said Rainier experienced similar upticks in the past two years, and a more sustained episode in 2009.

But totally writing off the threat seems foolish.

Anne Graham Lotz: Is God speaking through Irma, Harvey and an earthquake?

By Anne Graham Lotz Published September 12, 2017

Fox News

Within weeks, we have experienced record-breaking fires in the northwest, record-breaking hurricanes in Texas and Florida, and a record-breaking earthquake in Mexico. What is happening? Are these disasters random? Just freaks of nature?  Or is something more significant intended? The answer may be found in an incredible Biblical story.

The Old Testament book of 1 Kings 19 records a dramatic scene when the Lord God passed by as the prophet Elijah stood in the mouth of a cave. The description is eerily similar to ours, because first there was a great and powerful wind, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a still, small voice–the gentle voice of Father God speaking to His frightened, weary child.

God used the earthquake, wind and fire to get Elijah’s attention, because God had something to say.  Our situation is so similar to Elijah’s it begs the question:  Is God using these storms to get our attention because He also has something to say to His us? Yes, He is. What is it? I believe God is saying in essence what He said to Elijah. His message can be broken into four parts:

1) Be comforted. The fact that God spoke to Elijah revealed God’s presence. God is with us.  He has promised, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) God is right there.  With you.  Now! And He understands what it feels like to be stripped of everything.

2) Be blessed. God told Elijah He would bring help.  And God did. He brought Elisha alongside.  God will bring us help, too:  first responders, FEMA, friends, neighbors, family—even strangers will come alongside to help in the work of rebuilding. They are moved to do so by the Spirit of God, so even in the mess, mold, muck and misery we are aware of Heaven’s blessing.

3) Be encouraged. God told Elijah there were more faithful believers in God than Elijah was aware of, implying Elijah’s life had been more impactful than he knew.  Our lives also have eternal significance. No man is an island. Life is not just about you. Me. These storms have given ample opportunity for us to understand that life is about something bigger than we are. It’s a good time to reorder our priorities and private world.

4) Be ready. God gave Elijah another assignment—a purpose. And I believe God has a purpose for us.  We need to look to Him and be ready for what’s coming next. Because soon after Elijah’s sensational confrontation with God, he was “raptured.” Taken up into Heaven without seeing death. Don’t miss this implied message. In the words of Jesus, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me.  In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:1-3) Heaven is waiting! Jesus is coming!  The signs He gave signal that His coming is imminent. On that day, don’t be left behind. Be ready to meet Him face to face. Turn to Him now. Place your trust in Jesus.

God is speaking through the storms. Are you listening?

9/23/17: More ominous, ‘biblical’ signs in the sky

Mark Biltz believes ‘tribulation could begin soon’

Published: 2 days ago

Blood Moons. A total solar eclipse traversing the country. A devastating hurricane. And next up, an astronomical sign seemingly straight out of the book of Revelation.

Is God trying to say something?

Pastor Mark Biltz, the man who discovered the “Blood Moons” phenomenon and is one of the world’s foremost experts on the “signs of the times,” says he believes the startling convergence of events is a message from heaven. And he says arguably the most important sign will be a starry pattern in the sky on Sept. 23.

On that day, the sun will be in the constellation Virgo (known as the virgin). The moon will be below the “feet” of the constellation. Additionally, Venus, Mars and Mercury will be above the constellation. As the constellation Leo has nine stars and will also be above Virgo’s head, the alignment can be interpreted as a “crown” of 12 stars.

Revelation 12: 1-2 reads: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.”

Biltz believes the upcoming sign on Sept. 23 is precisely what this passage is referring to.

“The woman clothed with the sun is the constellation Virgo and represents the nation of Israel,” he explained. “The 12 stars represent the 12 tribes of Israel. Interestingly, the constellation Leo, the lion, which is above Virgo, is made up of nine stars. The lion represents specifically the tribe of Judah. It just so happens this year during the Days of Awe, three planets will join the constellation Leo making up 12 stars. Virgo will be clothed with the sun, and the moon will be under her feet, fulfilling this sign to precise detail.”

Furthermore, said Biltz, contemporary events on Earth are also precisely fitting with biblical prophecy.

Biltz cited Luke 21:25, which says: “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.”

“The next verse also refers to how ‘the powers of heaven shall be shaken.’ Look what happened immediately after the solar eclipse at the beginning of the month of repentance,” he said. “We have the sea and the waves roaring loud and clear because of Hurricane Harvey. Not only that, the eclipse was on the 21st and the hurricane was the 25th. This event has been directly tied to this verse in Luke 21:25! Talk about predicted in the Bible!”

Biltz also expressed amazement at how one of the most devastating hurricanes in American history is being closely followed by the strongest hurricane ever recorded.

“Not only did we have Hurricane Harvey, but now Hurricane Irma is brewing looking like a category 5 for this next week,” noted Biltz.

Biltz, who explains the importance of the biblical calendar in his book “God’s Day Timer,” also believes it is deeply significant the upcoming sign with the constellation Virgo will appear the weekend after Rosh Hashanah.

“As I explain in my book ‘God’s Day Timer: The Believer’s Guide To Divine Appointments,’ the feasts are really to be seen as days when God intersects human history,” said Biltz. “God said there would be signs in the sun, moon and stars and Yeshua [Jesus] confirmed there would be signs in the heavens in the end of days before the Messiah comes.

“I’d caution I don’t ever predict what will happen, so much as connect the dots after they have happened. It is also important to remember prophecy has multiple fulfillments. Still, though I would not say this is definite; I would suggest that the imminent beginning of the Tribulation is definitely a big possibility.”

But why should believers care about what is happening in the sky? Isn’t looking for such signs uncomfortably close to the practice of astrology?

Biltz points out Scripture itself speaks of the importance of signs in the sky. He also says there is a critical distinction between astrology and what he calls “biblical astronomy.”

“Biblical astronomy has nothing to do with astrology,” Biltz said. “The devil likes to pervert everything God does as a way of sidelining believers. In astrology, it’s all about you and interpreting the signs in the sky about how it affects your life. In biblical astronomy, it’s all about God. It’s an entirely different focus. God even stated the heavens are declaring the glory of God.”

Biltz contends the signs in the sky are a message from God urging repentance. The recent solar eclipse, in particular, was a message to America.

“I believe solar eclipses over nations is God’s way of warning that nation to turn back to godliness,” the pastor said. “God is not willing that any should perish but all turn back to Him. The sun shines and the rain falls on everyone, both the righteous and the ungodly. We are not to point the finger and blame people as much as each and every one of us are to seek God and find comfort in His presence.”

And Biltz argues the flood of extraordinary signs both in the heavens and on Earth means the time to repent may be running out.

“I believe, as the Bible states, that when we see these things we should be looking up in expectation that our redemption is drawing near,” he told WND

Apocalyptic September? Here Is A List Of 27 Major Disasters That Have Already Happened So Far This Month

By Michael Snyder, on September 10th, 2017

Two major hurricanes, unprecedented earthquake swarms and wildfires roaring out of control all over the northwest United States – what else will go wrong next?  When I originally pointed to the month of September as a critical time, I had no idea that we would see so many catastrophic natural disasters during this time frame as well.  Hurricane Harvey just broke the all-time record for rainfall in the continental United States, Hurricane Irma is so immensely powerful that it has been called “a lawnmower from the sky”, vast stretches of our country out west are literally being consumed by fire, and the magnitude-8.2 earthquake that just hit Mexico was completely unexpected.  As I have stated so many times before, our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, but most people simply do not understand what is happening.

My good friend Zach Drew is getting married next month, and I would encourage everyone to go wish him well on Facebook.  On Friday, he posted the best summary of the major disasters that we have been experiencing so far this month that I have seen anywhere…

California is on fire.
Oregon is on fire.
Washington is on fire.
British Columbia is on fire.
Alberta is on fire
Montana is on fire.
Nova Scotia is on fire.
Greece is on fire.
Brazil is on fire.
Portugal is on fire.
Algeria is on fire.
Tunisia is on fire.
Greenland is on fire.
The Sakha Republic of Russia is on fire.
Siberia is on fire.

Texas is under water
India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, experience record monsoons and massive death toll.
Sierra Leone and Niger experience massive floods, mudslides, and deaths in the thousands.

Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia are crushed in the death grip of a triple digit heat wave, dubbed Lucifer.
Southern California continues to swelter under triple digit heat that shows no sign of letting up.
In usually chilly August, the city of San Francisco shatters all-time record at 106 degrees, while it reaches 115 degrees south of the city. Northern California continues to bake in the triple digits.

(()) Yellowstone volcano is hit with earthquake swarm of over 2,300 tremors since June, recording a 4.4 quake on June 15, 20017 and 3.3 shaker on August 21, 2017.
(()) 5.3 earthquake rumbles through Idaho
(()) Japan earthquake 6.1 possible tsunami..
(()) Mexico earthquake 8.2 imminent tsunami. Beach lines are receded atleast 50+ meters

Hurricanes Harvey, Irma (biggest ever recorded), Jose and Katia are barreling around the Atlantic with 8 more potentials forming

And last but not least an X10 C.M.E solar flare two nights ago. The highest recorded solar flare ever!

Some are describing what is happening to us as a “perfect storm”, and they are wondering if even more major disasters are coming in the very near future.

Let us hope not, because there is a tremendous amount of concern that we may not be able to pay for the disasters that have happened already.  The following comes from Politico

Harvey and Irma could be a breaking point. At $556 billion, the Houston metropolitan area’s economy is bigger than Sweden’s. New Jersey could easily fit inside the region’s sprawling footprint, where Harvey dumped 34 trillion gallons of water, as much as the three costliest floods in Texas history combined. The Harvey response alone eventually could double the $136 billion in government aid spent after Hurricane Katrina flooded New Orleans.

And as of Friday, an estimated $1.73 trillion worth of real estate was in the path of Irma’s hurricane-force winds, according to the University of Wisconsin’s Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies.

We won’t know the true extent of the damage that has been caused down in Florida for many days, but we do know that much of the state is already without power…

More than 3.3 million homes and businesses and counting have lost power in Florida as Hurricane Irma moves up the peninsula. The widespread outages stretch from the Florida Keys all the way into central Florida. Florida Power & Light, the state’s largest electric utility, said there were nearly 1 million customers without power in Miami-Dade County alone. The power outages are expected to increase as the storm edges further north. There are roughly 7 million residential customers in the state.

In the end, the federal government will likely step in and spend a lot of money that it does not have to rebuild and restore the communities that Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma have destroyed.

But we are already 20 trillion dollars in debt, and it is being projected that we will continue to add another trillion dollars to that total every year for the foreseeable future.

At some point all of this debt will simply become completely unsustainable.

Of course the major disasters will just inevitably keep on coming.  As Politico has pointed out, major natural disasters seem to just keep on getting bigger, and they seem to be hitting us more frequently than in the past…

The disasters are arriving with greater frequency. Counting Harvey, the U.S. this year has experienced 10 weather-related events each costing $1 billion or more. The country averaged fewer than six big-dollar storms, flood, fires and freezes a year between 1980 and 2016, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Between 2012 and 2016, however, weather catastrophes occurred almost twice as often.

I know that I have been writing about these hurricanes a lot in recent weeks, and I promise to get back to focusing on the economy in the days to come.

But it is absolutely imperative that we all begin to understand that something has fundamentally changed.  Our world has become much less stable, and “apocalyptic events” are starting to hit us one after another.

So will things start to calm down in the months ahead?
