Unsealed: A Closer Look At Revelation 6 And ‘The Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse’

05/02/2013

By ICA

Were John’s apocalyptic snapshots and descriptions of the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” in the Book of Revelation pointing to events that would only take place nearly 2000 years after first being revealed? All too often, many of today’s Christian teachers and Bible prophecy experts have repeated the belief that the entirety of the Book of Revelation, with the exception of the first three chapters, are to be understood in futuristic terms only. Whether it be the Seven Seals or the Seven Trumpets or the Seven Bowls of wrath, everything contained therein and described by John from Revelation 4:1 onward must be treated as little more than a description of apocalyptic earth-shattering events that we, as Christians, will never witness taking place upon the world in which we live, events that can only begin to come to fruition after an imminent rapture has suddenly removed all followers of Christ from the face of the earth to deliver them from the impending wrath of God upon the world and the last-days Beast of Revelation. If we take the time to engage in a careful examination of the text, however, we may begin to see that some of the events often understood as yet to come, are events that are already taking place today.

An Overview Of History: The Islamic Beast Of Revelation – The Past And The Present

After careful study, I have come to the conclusion that, judging from the description of events and their sequence provided for us in Scripture, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse  described in the first four Seals of Revelation 6 are four separate stages of the last-days Beast Empire upon the earth — Islam. Beginning with its birth and growth, to its effects upon those under its power and the effect it has had and will have upon God’s elect, the Seals provide us with a general overview of the last 1400 years until immediately after the tribulation, where we then see the complete destruction of the Islamic Beast at the Second Coming of Christ in power and glory.

To understand why, we must first begin by reading through Revelation 6-7 and Matthew 24 and ascertain the parallels that solidify the placement of the Seven Seals, parallels that I am sure you will agree are quite eye opening when laid out in full. The following are those parallels between the Seals of Revelation chapters 6 and 7, and Matthew 24. Closer attention will be paid to specific details surrounding the sixth parallel itself:

Parallel 1: Conquest Through Deception And The Crowning Of Mohammed

* Matthew 24:5 — Many will come in Christ’s name and deceive many.
* Revelation 6:2 — The 1st Seal – White horse and rider with bow who is given a crown; went out conquering and to conquer.

In “The Best Biography of Prophet Mohammed”, Islamic scholars Grand Muhaddith Master Abdullah Ben Sadek, Anne Khadeijah Darwish and Ahmad Darwish write that, “In the Koran, Allah calls His Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, by many blessed names … In his sayings one finds many other names that were frequently used by his Companions and followers. These include names such as the: Chosen, Selected, Father of Kasim, the Beloved, Messenger of the Lord of the Worlds, Accepted, Intercessor, the Fearfully Aware, Amender, Outward, Guardian, Truthful, Confirmer, Guide, Master of the Children of Adam, Master of the Messengers, Leader of the Fearfully Aware, Leader of the Glorious Radiant Ones, Beloved of Allah, Friend of the Merciful, Possessor of the Visited Pool, Intercessor, the Praiseworthy Station, Possessor of Means, Excellence and the High Degree, Possessor of the Crown …” [1]. In the Islamic world, Mohammed is regarded as “the greatest of all the prophets and messengers of God and the crown of all creation” [2].

Some may say that the crown of Revelation 6:2 must be literal and must be referring to an actual king who wears an actual, physical crown. However, if the horse and rider are obviously symbolic, it only stands to reason that the crown can also be symbolic as well. According to Islamic lecturer Ahmed Deedat, “Moses and Muhammad were Prophets as well as kings. A prophet means a man who receives Divine Revelation for the Guidance of Man and this Guidance he conveys to God’s creatures as received without any addition or deletion. A king is a person who has the power of life and death over his people. It is immaterial whether the person wears a [literal] crown or not, or whether he was ever addressed as king or monarch – if the man has the prerogative of inflicting capital punishment – He is a King[3].

Walid Shoebat, a former Muslim who converted to Christianity, once described Islam as a “Christian Cult”, a characterization of Islam to which I would agree wholeheartedly. Mohammed’s religion borrows bits and pieces from Christianity (both the Old Testament and New Testament) but then twists and corrupts Truth. As Christians, we know that Christ is God. He is the Prince of Peace. Mohammed, who received the kingly crown of “prophethood” before his conquests, claims that his religion is the “Religion of Peace.” Both he and his followers acknowledged Mary and the virgin birth of Jesus, called Jesus the Messiah and even claimed to be following the true faith of the God of Abraham, however Mohammed’s teachings denied Christ’s divinity and denied the Triunity of One God — much like Mormonism and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mohammed claimed to come in the name of the God of Abraham to the Jews and in the name of Christ to the Christians, but his teachings deceived everyone who followed him then and deceives everyone following him to this very day.

Parallel 2: Unending Conflict Within Islam And The ‘House Of War’

* Matthew 24:6-7 — Wars, nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom.
* Revelation 6:3-4 — The 2nd Seal – Red horse to take peace from the earth.

Behold the fruit of Islam: Jihad. Islamic jihad has been the greatest mass murdering force in the history of humanity. As long as Islam has existed, it has never known peace. Bill Warner, director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam, stated during a 2007 interview with FrontPageMagazine that, “Jihad destroyed a Christian Middle East and a Christian North Africa. Soon it was the fate of the Persian Zoroastrian and the Hindu to be the victims of jihad. The history of political Islam is the destruction of Christianity in the Middle East, Egypt, Turkey and North Africa. Half of Christianity was lost. Before Islam, North Africa was the southern part of Europe (part of the Roman Empire). Around 60 million Christians were slaughtered during the jihadic conquest… The Jews became permanent dhimmis throughout Islam. In Africa over 120 million Christians and animists have died over the last 1400 years of jihad. Approximately 270 million nonbelievers died over the last 1400 years for the glory of political Islam. These are the Tears of Jihad which are not taught in any school.” [4]. And the persecution of Jews and Christians, and the atmosphere of Islamic wars upon the earth, continues to this very day. Even now, Islamists boldly declare that if non-Muslims do not accept Islam “they will never know peace.”

Parallel 3: Hunger, Destitution, Commotions, Strife, Earthquakes …

* Matthew 24:7 — Famines, pestilences and earthquakes.
* Revelation 6:5-6 — The 3rd Seal – Black horse bringing famine.

If we take a look at the heart of the Islamic world today, what is it characterized by? It is characterized by desert. By famine. By starvation. By destitution. By disease. And this is true both spiritually and physically. Take a brief look at the headlines even today and we learn that in Sudan, tens of thousands of Christians are facing starvation because of policies instituted by an Islamist government. In Mali, 4.6 million people face starvation following Islamist advances in the north. Starvation threatens more than 7 million citizens in Afghanistan as over 90% of the country’s agriculture is destroyed by drought. In Somalia, Islamist militants deprive 1.3 million people of food, clean water and health care after banning humanitarian aid. In Chad, children starve to death as Islamic ‘doctors’ with ‘healing gifts from Allah’ throw common sense into the wind. Islamists are killing aid workers in Pakistan for trying to save lives with un-Islamic polio vaccines. Nigeria faces famine because most of the farmers in the north are threatened by Islamist attacks. Famine is gripping Syria as Islamists engaged in an all-out war to oust Al-Assad and implement an Islamic state. And this is all just the tip of the iceberg.

These are the kind of conditions that precipitate all sorts of pestilences, all manner of plagues, and any number of “commotions” both inside and outside the Islamic world. In should be noted that the Greek word for “earthquakes” is “seismos” and also means “commotion” or “tempest”, as in Matthew 8:24 when “suddenly a great tempest [seismos] arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves…”). Islam is a prime example of missing the mark of God — “hamartia” or “sin” — and the whole of creation groans and labors with birth pangs because of it (Romans 8:22).

Parallel 4: The Man Of Lawlessness, Destruction

* Matthew 24:15 — The Anti-Christ and the Abomination of Desolation.
* Revelation 6:7-8 — The 4th Seal – Pale (Green) horse with Death and Hell.

Revelation 6:8, “And I looked, and behold a ‘chlōros’ horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the ‘thērion’ [beasts] of the earth.”

In Revelation 6:8, John describes the “fourth horseman” as being “chlōros”, which translates literally as “green”. It is where we get the words “chlorophyll” from, a green pigment found in cyanobacteria and the chloroplasts of algae and plants. Green is the official color of Islam, and the “green” horseman  is described as having power over the fourth part of the earth. Islam today has dominion over a fourth part of the earth. He has the power to “kill with sword.” Islam is spread through Jihad, the “Sword of Islam.” He also kills with hunger/famine. When Islamists rise up, deprivation and lawlessness will quickly follow, so much so that they would even prefer to see children starve to death than to see them receive life-saving aid from the “Christian West.” He kills with “death”, and the love of death and martyrdom for the cause of “Allah” permeates Islamic culture to the point where Islamists will even openly declare that they “love death more than you love life.” Lastly, he is described as killing with “the beasts of the earth.” The Greek word for beasts is “thērion” and is very likely being used metaphorically to refer to “savage”, “brutal” and “bestial” men — a perfect description of what we’re witnessing today in the radical world of Islam’s death seekers. If Antichrist is a man, we can be certain that he is now on the verge of being revealed. If Antichrist is a system, it is already here.

Parallel 5: Intensifying Persecution Of God’s Elect

* Matthew 24:9-13, 15-22 — Many are delivered up to be afflicted and killed. Many fall away from the faith. Great Tribulation.
* Revelation 6:9-11 — The 5th Seal – Saints in heaven are told that fellow servants are to be killed.

It is my view that we are already within the 5th Seal, which encompasses the Great Tribulation of the elect spoken of by the prophet Daniel and John in Revelation. We’ve seen near-genocidal persecution of Jews and Christians at the hands of Muslims throughout history, but now, after a relative lull, Islamic persecution has literally exploded since 2011 with the rise of the Arab Spring. As Iran prepares for a nuclear Armageddon and threatens to turn Jerusalem into a mass graveyard while calling for the death of all Jews worldwide and the annihilation of the state of Israel, and as Hamas and Hezbollah and even the Muslim Brotherhood seek to join the fray, Egyptian Christians are experiencing the worst persecution seen from Islamists in hundreds of years, with many now unable to buy or sell. In Iraq, Muslim clerics issue a fatwa against Christians demanding that they convert to Islam or be killed as men run for their lives, women plead for God’s mercy, children scream in fear while Islamists attacks continue unabated in an effort to “cleanse” the land of Christians.  Intense Christian persecution is ‘coursing through Muslim-majority nations from one end of the globe to the other’ and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. As one reporter wrote recently in The Telegraph, Christianity is ‘close to extinction’ in the Middle East because of Islam.

The Islamic Beast Of Revelation – The Future

As we can see, the Four Horsemen have now arisen and are now all riding together in full gallop upon the earth. Very soon, an angel of God will cry out with a loud voice, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe” (Revelation 14:15), which now brings me to the 6th Parallel, broken down into individual parts.

Parallel 6a: Post-Tribulational Cosmic Signs Preceding The Second Coming Of Christ

* Matthew 24:29, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken”

This corresponds with:

* Revelation 6:12-13, “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood, And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth …”

Parallel 6b: Judgement Comes – The Wicked Are Gripped With Terror At The Power And Glory Of Christ

* Matthew 24:30, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

This corresponds with:

* Revelation 6:15-17, “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains, And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”

Parallel 6c: The Deliverance and Salvation of God’s Elect

* Matthew 24:31, “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

This corresponds with:

* Revelation 7:1-4,9,14 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God … Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel … After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands … these are the ones who come out of the great tribulation.”

At the beginning of Revelation 7 John writes that, “And after these things I saw …”. This is a continuation of the post-tribulational signs that John witnessed at the 6th Seal a few verses earlier. Remember, although the text is inspired by the Spirit of God, chapter and verse divisions were added later by men.

Declaring The End From The Beginning And The Revelation Of Our Savior

Jamieson, Fausset & Brown write in their commentary of Revelation that “the seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven vials, are not consecutive, but parallel, and ending in the same consummation. They present the unfolding of God’s plans for bringing about the grand end under three different aspects, mutually complementing each other.” This Semitic writing style is something that we also find in the Genesis account regarding creation, which is why some skeptics claim that there are two different creation accounts when in fact there is only one. In Revelation, the Seals reveal to us snapshots and descriptions of the rise of the last-days Beast, the ungodliness of Islam’s sordid history, and its effect upon the earth and upon the Israel of God as it grows and strengthens, followed by the revelation of Christ’s return in power and great glory to deliver His people and judge the wicked. Due to the Semitic style of writing employed by John, we see a “rewind” as it were after describing all seven Seals which then shifts focus on the judgements that take place during and immediately after the tribulation (called “trumpets”), and then a refocusing of his “camera” once again upon the end-result of each one of the seven judgements (called “vials” or “bowls”). The seventh seal, seventh trumpet and seventh vial/bowl all end together right around the same time in the eschaton.

He is coming soon …

Though many in the Church today are taught that most of Revelation is yet to happen in the future, the fact of the matter is that much of what John saw has already taken place and is in the process of taking place right now, today. Although there are many who recognize that the Islamist ideology espoused by Al Qaeda and its ilk has metastasized since 9/11 throughout the Muslim world, the call to reality has unfortunately fallen largely on the deaf ears of Western leadership, both secular and Christian. Nations can fight against armies, against a foe that is well defined, but a religious ideology that recognizes no borders, no limits, no definition of peace apart from its own is an ideology that no nation will ever defeat, and an ideology that will continue to become more mainstream each and every day until its fiery end at the epiphany of Christ Jesus in power and great glory. Will you be ready?

Romans 11:26, “And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob’”

Greg Laurie to Gay Activists: ‘I Won’t Back Down’

A California megachurch pastor involved in the National Day of Prayer who has recently come under fire for his views on homosexuality has declared that he will not be intimidated.

At a prayer event held Wednesday morning at the Washington, D.C., office of the Family Research Council, Pastor Greg Laurie told those gathered, “I won’t back down.”

“They do not want me to pray. They describe me as ‘homophobic’ and so forth. How can you deal with such a situation? We’re in a time in our country now where I’m attacked because I believe what the Bible teaches,” said Laurie, ahead of Thursday’s National Day of Prayer.

“If people want to make it all about that I’m not going to back down. In the immortal words of the great theologian Tom Petty, ‘I won’t back down,’ I won’t. I’m not going to apologize.”

Laurie paralleled the efforts of gay rights activists to that of the palace officials who sought to stop Daniel (in the Old Testament) from praying and passed a law that resulted in him being thrown into the Lion’s Den.

“Here is something that we need to learn from that. The Devil does not want us to pray. It’s been said that Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees,” said Laurie. “I’ve had people try to stop me from praying this week. And we have these activist homosexual groups who have alerted their people to petition the Pentagon.”

Follow us

The main focus of Laurie’s speech was on the subject of prayer, which was in keeping with the theme of the FRC event. Among the points made was that it does not matter where one prays, so long as it was with a sincere heart.

“God did not hear the prayer of the pharisee. Why? Because the Bible says Jesus speaking, ‘he prayed thus with himself,'” said Laurie.

“Prayer is the movement of our heart towards God and the main thing is we need to pray because you could pray in any position, anytime, anywhere … it does not matter where you pray, the main thing is just pray.”

In recent days, LGBT organizations like the Human Rights Campaign have demanded that government officials bar Laurie from leading National Day of Prayer events in the nation’s capital this week.

“Pastor Laurie’s message is out of step with what the majority of people of faith across this country believe,” said Dr. Sharon Groves, director of HRC’s Religion & Faith Program. “In greater numbers than ever before, people of faith are feeling compelled to speak up and organize for equality – because of their faith.”

This is not the first time gay activists have attempted to get clergy opposed to homosexuality removed from a major national event. In January, LGBT activists successfully got the Rev. Louie Giglio of Passion City Church in Roswell, Ga., to withdraw from saying the closing prayer at President Barack Obama‘s second inauguration.

Laurie’s remarks came at an event sponsored by FRC titled “The National Day of Prayer Task Force Men’s Prayer Meeting.”

Other speakers at the event included a couple Christian businessmen, FRC Vice President for Church Ministries Dr. Kenyn Cureton, and John Bornschien, Vice Chairman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force.

Furnish on Pew findings re: Islam

Does This Paint It Black, or Am I A Fool to Cry? Breaking Down the New Pew Study of Muslims
by Timothy R. Furnish, PhD
.

Pew has released another massive installment of data from its research, 2008-2012, into Muslim attitudes, entitled “The World’s Muslims: Religion, Politics and Society.” Over 38,000 Muslims in almost 40 countries were surveyed, thus constituting a survey both statistically sound and geographically expansive. Herewith is an analysis of that information and what seem to be its major ramifications.

The first section deals with shari`a, usually rendered simply as “Islamic law” but more accurately defined as “the rules of correct practice” which “cover every possible human contingency, social and individual, from birth to death” and based upon the Qur’an and hadiths (sayings and practices attributed to Muhammad) as interpreted by Islamic religious scholars (Marshal G.S. Hodgson, The Venture of Islam, Vol 1: The Classical Age of Islam, p. 74). Asked “should sharia [as Pew anglicizes it] be the law of the land,” 57% of Muslims across 38 countries answered “yes” — including, most problematically for the US: 99% of Afghans, 91% of Iraqis, 89% of Palestinians, 84% of Pakistanis and even 74% of Egyptians. Should sharia apply to non-Muslims as well as Muslims? Across 21 countries surveyed on this question, 40% answered affirmatively — with the highest positive response coming from Egypt (its 74% exceeding even Afghanistan’s 61%). And on the question whether sharia punishments — such as whippings and cutting off of thieves’ hands — should be enacted, the 20-country average was 52%, led by Pakistan (88%), Afghanistan (81%), the Palestinian Territories [PT] (76%) and Egypt (70-%). On the specific penalty of stoning for adultery, the 20-country average was 51% — with, again, Pakistan (89%), Afghanistan (85%), the PT (84%) and Egypt (71%) highest in approval. Finally, 38% of Muslims, across those same 20 nations, support the death penalty for those leaving Islam for another religion.

Huge majorities of Muslims across most of these surveyed nations say that “it’s good others can practice their faith” — but Pew’s imprecise terminology on this topic makes possible that this simply mean many Muslims are willing to grant non-Muslims the tolerated, but second-class, ancient status of the dhimmi. Majorities, too, in most countries say that “democracy is better than a powerful leader;” however, the latter was actually preferred by most surveyed in Russia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as by 42% of Iraqis, 40% of Palestinians and 36% of Egyptians. Most Afghans, Egyptians and Tunisians (and even 1/3 of Turks) believe that “Islamic political parties” are better than other ones, although 53% of Indonesians and 45% of Iraqis are also worried about “Muslim extremists.” (Curiously, 31% of Malaysians are, on the other hand, worried about “Christian extremists” — although evidence of such existing in that country is practically non-existent.) There is good news on the question of suicide bombing, however: across 20 countries, only 13.5% think it is ever justified — although the support is much higher in the PT (40%), Afghanistan (39%) and Egypt (29%).

In terms of morality, large majorities in most Muslim countries (especially outside Sub-Saharan Africa) think drinking alcohol is morally repugnant, notably in Malaysia (93%), Pakistan and Indonesia (both 91%). Most Muslims in most countries surveyed consider abortion wrong, as well as pre- and extra-marital sex and, almost needless to say, homosexuality. (Although one wishes Pew had asked about mu`tah, or “temporary marriage” — a practice originally Twelver Shi`i which has increasingly become used by Sunnis.) Yet, simultaneously — following Qur’anic rubrics — some 30% of Muslims in 21 countries support polygamy, including almost half of Palestinians, 46% of Iraqis and 41% of Egyptians. There is also significant support for honor killings in not just Afghanistan and Iraq but also Egypt and the PT. Over ¾ of Muslims across 23 countries says that “wives must always obey their husbands:” an average of 77%. And Pew notes that there is a statistically very significant correlation between sharia-support and believing women have few(er) rights.

Asked whether they believed they were “following Muhammad’s example,” 75% of Afghans and 55% of Iraqis answered affirmatively — although most Muslims were not nearly so confident. On the question “are Sunni-Shi`i tensions a problem,” 38% of Lebanese, 34% of Pakistanis, 23% of Iraqis and 20% of Afghans said “yes.”

It is no surprise that huge majorities of Muslims in most surveyed countries believe that Islam is the only path to salvation, nor that most also say “it’s a duty to convert others” to Islam. It is somewhat counterintuitive, however, that many Muslims say they “know little about Christianity” — even in places with large Christian minorities, such as Egypt. Muslims in Sub-Saharan Africa are the most likely to agree that “Islam and Christianity have a lot in common,” and so are 42% of Palestianians, as well as some 1/3 of Lebanese and Egyptians. But only 10% of Pakistanis agree. Asked whether they ever engaged in “interfaith meetings,” many Muslims in Sub-Saharan Africa said that they did (with Christians), and a majority of Thais said likewise (albeit with Buddhists). But only 8% of Palestinians, 5% of Iraqis, and 4% of Egyptians said they ever do so—despite substantial Christian populations in each of those areas.

Regarding the question “are religion and science in conflict,” most Muslims said “no” — with the exceptions of Lebanon, Bangladesh, Tunisia and Turkey where over 40% in each country (and, actually, a majority in Lebanon) said that they were at loggerheads. Most Muslims also say they have no problems with believing in Allah and evolution — the exceptions being the majority of Afghans and Indonesians. Regarding popular culture, clear majorities of Muslims in many countries say they like Western music, TV and movies—but, at the same time, similar majorities say that such things undermine morality (although Bollywood less so than Hollywood).

Observations:

1) The high degree of support for sharia is the red flag here. Contra media and adminstration (both Obama and Bush) assurances that most Muslims are “moderate,” empirical data now exists that clearly shows most Muslims, in point of fact, support not just sharia in general but its brutal punishments. Perhaps just as disturbing, almost four in ten Muslims are in favor of killing those who choose to follow another religion. And countries in which the US is heavily involved either diplomatically or militarily (or both) are the very ones where such sentiments run most high: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt, the Palestinian Territories. So are the “extremists” these very Muslims who want to follow, literally, the Qur’an and hadiths? Messers Brennan, Holder and Obama have some explaining to do.

2) Afghanistan would appear to be a lost cause. Afghans are at the top of almost every list in support for not just sharia, suicide bombing, honor killing and — ironically (or perhaps not) — confidence that they are emulating Islam’s founder, as well as dislike for democracy. In light of this clear data, two points about Afghanistan become clear: tactically, ostensible American befuddlement as to the causes of “green on blue” attacks and the continuing popularity of the Taliban in Afghanistan appears as willful ignorance; strategically, the US decision to stay there after taking out the al-Qa`ida [AQ] staging, post-9/11, and attempt to modernize Afghanistan was a huge, neo-Wilsonian mistake. 2014 cannot come soon enough.

3) In some ways Islam in Southeastern Europe, and to a lesser extent in Central Asia, seems to be a more tolerant brand of the faith than the Middle Eastern variety. For example, the SE European and Central Asian Muslims are the least likely to support the death penalty for “apostasy,” and the most supportive of letting women decide for themselves whether to veil. And Muslims in Sub-Saharan Africa are the most likely to know about Christianity, and to interact with Christians. On the other hand, African Muslims are among the most enamored of sharia, and Central Asian ones fond of letting qadis (Islamic judges) decide family and property disputes. So there does not seem to be a direct link between Westernization and moderation; in fact, the influence of Sufism — Islamic mysticism — in the regard needs to be correlated and studied (beyond what Pew did on the topic in last year’s analysis).

4) One bit of prognostication based on this data: Malaysia may be the next breeding ground of Islamic terrorism. It’s home to some 17 million Muslims (61% of its 28 million people), who hold a congeries of unsettling views: 86% want sharia the law of the land; 67% favor the death penalty for apostasy; 66% like sharia-compliant corporal punishments; 60% support stoning for adultery; and 18% think suicide bombing is justified. PACOM, SOCOM and the intelligence agencies need to ramp up hiring of Malay linguists and analysts.

5) Finally, some words for those — like FNC’s Megyn Kelly and Julie Roginsky (on the former’s show “American Live,” 4/30/13) — who pose a sociopolitical and moral equivalence between Muslim support for sharia and Evangelical Protestant Christian support for wives’ obedience to husbands: that’s a bit too much sympathy for the devil. Yes, Evangelical Christian pastors hold some pretty conservative views of the family, as per a 2011 Pew study of them; for example, 55% of them do agree that “a wife must always obey her husband” (compared to 77% of Muslims). And, ironically, many such Evangelicals agree in large measure with Muslims on issues such as the immorality of alcohol, abortion and homosexuality. However, one searches in vain for any Evangelical (or other) Christian support for whippings, stonings, amputation of thieves’ limbs, polygamy or suicide bombing.

Islam is the world’s second-largest religion, numbering some 1.6 billion humans (behind only Christianity’s 2.2 billion). There is, thus, enormous diversity of opinion on many issues of doctrine and practice, and essentializing Islam as either “peaceful” or “violent” is fraught with peril. Nonetheless, this latest Pew study provides empirical evidence that many — far too many — Muslims cling to a literalist, supremacist and indeed brutal view of their religion. Insha’allah, this will change eventually — but time is not necessarily on our side.

Pentagon Taps Anti-Christian Extremist for Religious Tolerance Policy

“Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation’s armed forces.”

Those words were recently written by Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), in a column he wrote for the Huffington Post. Weinstein will be a consultant to the Pentagon to develop new policies on religious tolerance, including a policy for court-martialing military chaplains who share the Christian Gospel during spiritual counseling of American troops.

Weinstein decries what he calls the “virulent religious oppression” perpetrated by conservative Christians, whom he refers to as “monstrosities” and “pitiable unconstitutional carpetbaggers,” comparing them to “bigots” in the Deep South during the civil rights era.

He cites Dr. James Dobson—the famous Christian founder of Focus on the Family—as “illustrating the extremist, militant nature of these virulently homophobic organizations’ rhetorically-charged propaganda.” Regarding those who teach orthodox Christian beliefs from the Bible, Weinstein concludes, “Let’s call these ignoble actions what they are: the senseless and cowardly squallings of human monsters.”

Weinstein then endorses the ultra-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), who publishes a list of “hate groups.” Alongside truly deplorable organizations like the KKK, the SPLC’s list includes a host of traditional Christian organizations (for their support of traditional marriage) and Tea Party organizations (for supporting limited government). Weinstein says SPLC correctly labels them all as “hate groups.”

Floyd Lee Corkins—the first person ever convicted of domestic terrorism in federal court under the laws of Washington, D.C.—told the FBI that he chose his intended shooting spree targets from the SPLC website’s map. Corkins was arrested at the offices of the Family Research Council (FRC) after shooting a security guard in August 2012. His court documents state that Corkins intended to kill as many people as possible.

Weinstein also supports Lt. Col. Jack Rich, the Army officer who wrote to subordinate officers that soldiers who hold traditional Christian beliefs agreeing with organizations on SPLC’s “hate group” list are incompatible with “Army values” and should be carefully watched and excluded from military service.

According to Weinstein, “We should as a nation effusively applaud Lt. Col. Rich.” He adds that the nation should “venture further” than Rich’s recommendations, saying, “We MUST vigorously support the continuing efforts to expose pathologically anti-gay, Islamaphobic, and rabidly intolerant agitators for what they are: die-hard enemies of the United States Constitution. Monsters, one and all. To do anything less would be to roll out a red carpet to those who would usher in a blood-drenched, draconian era of persecutions, nationalistic militarism, and superstitious theocracy.”

Many media outlets are silent on this disturbing new alliance between fanatical secularists and leaders in the Pentagon appointed by President Barack Obama and Secretary Chuck Hagel, under which the U.S. military would officially consult with someone with such foaming-at-the-mouth passionate hostility toward traditional Christians, including Evangelicals and devout Catholics. The military—America’s most heroic and noble institution—includes countless people of faith, and this represents a radical departure from the U.S. military’s warm embrace of people of faith in its ranks.

Yet the little coverage this story is getting is positive, such as this Washington Post column that somehow manages not to carry any of these frightening quotes from Weinstein and instead actually endorses the Pentagon’s meeting with him. Sally Quinn’s Post column also approvingly quotes MRFF Advisory Board member Larry Wilkerson as saying, “Sexual assault and proselytizing, according to Wilkerson, ‘are absolutely destructive of the bonds that keep soldiers together.’”

Did you get that? They say having someone share the Christian gospel with you is akin to being raped. Weinstein makes sure there are no doubts, being quoted by the Post as adding, “This is a national security threat. What is happening [aside from sexual assault] is spiritual rape. And what the Pentagon needs is to understand is that it is sedition and treason. It should be punished.”

Another MRFF Advisory Board member, Ambassador Joe Wilson (the far-left husband of CIA employee Valerie Plame from the Iraq War’s yellow-cake uranium scandal a decade ago), said a military chaplain “is to minister to spiritual needs. You don’t proselytize. It’s a workplace violation.”

In other words, it should be the official policy of the United States to decree what a human being’s spiritual needs are, and punish for violations a military officer who is an ordained clergyman who attempts to share his own personal faith with another service member when discussing religious matters. You cannot imagine such a thing ever happening under any previous president.

Weinstein goes on:

If these fundamentalist Christian monsters of human degradation … and tyranny cannot broker or barter your acceptance of their putrid theology, then they crave for your universal silence in the face of their rapacious reign of theocratic terror. Indeed, they ceaselessly lust, ache, and pine for you to do absolutely nothing to thwart their oppression. Comply, my friends, and you become as monstrously savage as are they. I beg you, do not feed these hideous monsters with your stoic lethargy, callousness and neutrality. Do not lubricate the path of their racism, bigotry, and prejudice. Doing so directly threatens the national security of our beautiful nation.

God help us now when someone with such visceral hatred of conservative Christians—literally tens of millions of Americans—who says sharing this gospel is “spiritual rape” is helping develop policies for how to deal with Christians in the military.

Weinstein says those guilty of this “treason” must be “punished.” Under federal law, the penalty for treason is death. And the Obama administration is sitting down to talk with this man to craft new policies for “religious tolerance” in our military.

Reinhard Bonnke: People

People are either in darkness or in light. (John 3:19; Romans 1:21) That is how God sees the world. In Christ we are in the light. Without Christ we are in darkness. The Gospel light is not just a BETTER light. It is the ONLY light. Being wise and good does not bring the dawn. Only God can bring the morning. Light and …darkness won’t mix. The Bible says, “What communion has light with darkness?” When it comes to spiritual things, the differences are plain and clear: we are either lost or found, in Christ or out of Christ, saved or perishing, alive to God or dead to God, forgiven or not forgiven. God has no twilight world of the half-alive, the half-saved, the half-found, people half in Christ or half-forgiven. Let’s follow Jesus, who is “the light of the world” and we will be in the Light. God bless you and greetings from Florida. REINHARD BONNKE

The Army of Black Flags

Will Islam Be Our Future?
A Study of Biblical and Islamic Eschatology
By: Joel Richardson

The Army of Black Flags
(Excerpt from Chapter 4. The Mahdi: Islam’s Awaited Messiah)

The Mahdi’s ascendancy to power is said to be preceded by an army from the east who will be carrying black flags or banners of war.  Sheikh Kabbani states:

Hadith indicate that black flags coming from the area of Khorasan will signify the appearance of the Mahdi is nigh.  Khorasan is in todays Iran, and some scholars have said that this hadith means when the black flags appear from Central Asia, i.e. in the direction of Khorasan, then the appearance of the Mahdi is imminent. 17

Another tradition states that:

The Messenger of Allah said: The black banners will come from the East and their hearts will be as firm as iron.  Whoever hears of them should join them and give allegiance, even if it means crawling across snow. 18

In Islam there are two flags.  One is white and one is black.  Written across both flags in Arabic are the words, “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger”.  The white flag is called Al-Liwaa and serves as the sign for the leader of the Muslim army and is the flag of the Islamic State.  The black flag is called Ar-Raya and is used by the Muslim army. It is also called the flag of jihad, and is carried into battle.  One flag is governmental and the other is a military flag. 19 When Muhammad returned to his home city of Mecca after being exiled for eight years, he returned as a conqueror.  With him were ten thousand Muslim soldiers.  They carried with them black flags.  On the flags was one word written in Arabic: punishment. 20

I was once talking to a group of young Muslim men and asking them some questions.  I asked them if the obvious superior militaries of America and Israel compared to the militaries of any Islamic nations were a source of difficulty for many Muslims.  One of these men then became very angry at my question and snapped out, “You Americans and Zionists better get ready, because the black flags are coming!”  At the time, I had no idea what he was talking about.  Later I learned the meaning.

The Conquering Of Israel

Islamic tradition pictures the Mahdi as joining with the army of Muslim warriors carrying black flags.  The Mahdi will then lead this army to Israel and re-conquer it for Islam.  The Jews will be slaughtered until very few remain and Jerusalem will become the location of the Mahdi’s rule over the Earth.

Rasulullah [Muhammad] said: “Armies carrying black flags will come from Khurasan. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela (Baitul Maqdas in Jerusalem) where they will erect their flags.” 21

It is important to note here the reference above to “Baitul Maqdas”.  In Arabic this means “the holy house”.  This is referring to the Dome of the Rock Mosque and is located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

In a particularly venomous manner, Egyptian authors, Muhammad ibn Izzat and Muhammd ‘Arif comment on the above tradition:

The Mahdi will be victorious and eradicate those pigs and dogs and the idols of this time so that there will once more be a caliphate based on prophethood as the hadith states… Jerusalem will be the location of the rightly guided caliphate and the center of Islamic rule, which will be headed by Imam al-Mahdi… That will abolish the leadership of the Jews… and put an end to the domination of the Satans who spit evil into people and cause corruption in the earth, making them slaves of false idols and ruling the world by laws other than the Shari’a [Islamic Law] of the Lord of the worlds. (Emphasis mine) 22

There is a very famous tradition that is often quoted throughout the Islamic world that speaks of the Mahdi’s military campaign against Israel.  The tradition is both sickening and very sobering:

The Prophet said… The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him… (Emphasis mine) 23

Are these Islamic black flags the banner Isaiah prophesied about in the following passage concerning the last days?  I have not yet ruled it out as I fully believe the Bible, God’s written Word, gives us insight and understanding for everything that is going on today.

Isaiah 13:1-9
1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.
3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.
5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.
6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.
7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:
8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.
9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Yet while the black Islamic banner of jihad waves, God never leaves His people without hope and in the following passage, directed to the nation of Israel in the last days, God tells us He has a banner of His own that will be displayed over them that fear Him!

Psalm 60:1-5
1 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.
2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.

The word banner is only recorded three times in the King James Bible.  This last occurrence describes God’s banner over the Bride of Christ.

Song of Solomon 2:4
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

Now read all three passages together as the understanding we get regarding what is presently playing out before our eyes in the Middle East is truly amazing!

  • When Islam waves its black flags in war (Isaiah 13:2)
  • Israel begins to call out to God to save them (Psalm 60:4)
  • The bride is brought (caught up) to God’s banqueting house (Song of Solomon 2:4)

Wow!  And to think this little impromptu Bible study came about just from reading a news article.  God is so faithful and gracious to give us understanding regarding current events!  Keep looking up!

Until That Day…

Revelation 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus

RETURN OF NIMROD, AMERICAN MATRIX AND THE BABYLONIAN STARGATE –

By Paul McGuire – http://newswithviews.com/McGuire/paul169.htm

It is impossible to make sense of global and national current events without understanding that reality is more than what you experience in three dimensions. Therefore even the best analysis that leaves out information that is relevant, just because most people are conditioned to believe that it cannot exist, cannot be accurate, because it is excluding relevant data.

Journalists and most media people today are primarily talking heads who enter into an unspoken consensual agreement with their guests and audience to play the game of “there is nothing beyond what we can see, hear and smell.” Even brief mentions of God and religion are acceptable as long as the language and experiences shared are firmly locked into this three-dimensional consciousness. Essentially what happens after that is the blind leading the blind.

The great American psychologist William James (1842-1910) said “… Our normal waking consciousness, rational consciousness as we call it, is but one special type of consciousness, whilst all about it, parted from it by the filmiest of screens, there lie potential forms of consciousness entirely different… We may go through life without suspecting their existence; but apply the requisite stimulus, and at a touch they are there in all their completeness, definite types of mentality which probably somewhere have their field of application and adaptation. No account of the universe in its totality can be final which leaves these other forms of consciousness quite disregarded. How to regard them is the question, for they are so discontinuous with ordinary consciousness. Yet they may determine attitudes though they cannot furnish formulas, and open a region though they fail to give a map. At any rate, they forbid a premature closing of our accounts with reality. Looking back on my own experiences, they all converge toward a kind of insight to which I cannot help ascribing some metaphysical significance.”

America and the world can only be understood in the context of what happened in the past and how that past is now influencing the present. In addition, there are various technologies, if you will, which enable us to see into the future before it happens. One primary source of interdimensional intelligence that has an accurate record of predicting the future is in the area of Bible prophecy. Despite the fact that Biblical predictions have a stunning statistical track record of 100% accuracy, Biblical prophecies are being deliberately censored and discounted by the gatekeepers of American consciousness. Why are they censored? They are censored because accepting their accuracy would overthrow the house of cards constructed by the Illuminati-Orwellian order.

It is not an accident that totalitarian regimes over the last century have made it illegal to teach Bible prophecy. Bible prophecy is not allowed to be taught in places like China, Russia, Cuba and many Seeker Friendly churches, because it is a direct threat to the brainwashing process and total control. In America Christians who believe and teach the Bible and specifically Bible prophecy are profiled as potential terrorists in numerous military reports.

Starting in the 1920s the father of modern public education, John Dewey, who was a signer of the Humanist Manifesto I, introduced change agents into the educational process. These change agents, using psychological and scientific methodologies of mind control developed by the Frankfurt School in Germany and, later, the Tavistock Institute, created a new kind of Evangelical Church and theology based on humanistic psychological motivation and a kind of psychic surgery which removed the all-important teachings of Bible prophecy from tens of thousands of Christian churches and denominations.

The Dulles brothers, John Foster Dulles (Secretary of State under President Eisenhower) and Allen Dulles (CIA director under Eisenhower and President Kennedy), were bankrolled by Rockefeller money. While speaking at an ecumenical conference at Oxford University, John Foster Dulles wrote “The Problem of Peace in a Dynamic World” (Religion in Life, Spring 1937), in which he praised the benefits of both Communism and Fascism in bringing in the new Babylon or World Communist State. By praising Communism and Fascism, Dulles was using the Hegelian Dialectic, which promotes what are apparently opposites to achieve the pre-determined goal of consensus, which would be a synthesis of Communism and Fascism in the New World Order.

Going back to the mid-1600s Sir Francis Bacon planned for America to be the New Atlantis and the center of the New World Order. The occult spiritual technology used by Nimrod at the Tower of Babel was first developed in Atlantis.

In October 28, 1939, John Foster Dulles advocated that “Some dilution or leveling off of the sovereignty system as it prevails in the world today must take place…to the immediate disadvantage of those nations which now possess the preponderance of power….The establishment of a common money (a global currency)…would deprive our government of exclusive control over a national money…The United States must be prepared to make sacrifices afterwards in setting up a world politico-economic order which would level off any inequalities of economic opportunity with respect to nations.”

That game plan developed in 1939 is being executed now as we see the deliberate devaluing of the dollar and the creation of a new one world currency I describe in my 3-DVD series, “Are You Ready for the Coming One World Government? Are You Ready for the Coming One World Economic System? and Are You Ready for the Coming One World Religion?”

According to Dennis L. Cuddy, Phd., in an October 30, 2006 article in News With.Views.com, entitled “Religion and World Government Part 2” this game plan was to rebuild the Tower of Babel as a one world government, one world economic system and one world religion. Dulles headed up a meeting of 30 religious denominations called together by the Federal Council of Churches, and created a comprehensive plan for a one world government, as reported by Time (March 16, 1942)

Like the change agents of today, John Foster Dulles used Christian terminology in speeches, much as the term “social justice” is now used. The creation of this new Babylon was spearheaded by Sir Julian Huxley, the first director-head of UNESCO. Nimrod would return again through the Babylonian Stargate and enter the American Matrix in order to rebuild Babylon. Huxley, like Nimrod, would build a single world culture with a common cultural language just like at the Tower of Babel.

Accounts of the Babylonians go all the way back to about of 2000 BC. The earliest known inhabitants of this region, located in Mesopotamia, were the Sumerians. A ruler name Sargon united the cities and some scholars believe Sargon was the same person as Nimrod.

The word Babylon is derived from the Akkadian “babilani,” which means “the gate of gods” and it became the capital of the land of Babylonia. The Tower of Babel that was built as a technological and occult worship tower was a Stargate. It was built to allow the gods to come down to the Earth. These gods were interdimensional beings. The interdimensional hypothesis (IDH) is a theory by scientist Jacques Vallée that says unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and related events involve visitations from other “realities” or “dimensions” that coexist separately alongside our own.

The interdimensional beings that were at the Tower of Babylon are now in America and other nations of the world. If you are tempted to dismiss this as complete science fiction, then consider the concept of Hyperspace. In his book Hyperspace Michio Kaku discusses the evidence for higher dimensions. Hyperspace is defined as the spatial dimensions beyond space and time known as three dimensional reality. Physicists have introduced the concept of “wormholes” or tunnels between dimensions, or alternate universes and have theorized about time travel and access to both the past and the future.

On a theoretical basis it would be possible for the gods at the Tower of Babel to travel into the future, such as our present time in America. Why would these interdimensional beings do that? The only book in the history of human civilization that gives the answer to those questions is the Bible, soon becoming the most censored book in America. Why is the Bible so dangerous? It is dangerous because truth is always dangerous to any system built on lies.

What happened at the Tower of Babel is now happening in America and the world. The Tower of Babel was the world’s first one world government, one world economic system and one world religion. In Revelation Chapters 17 and 18 we clearly see the rise of both economic Babylon and spiritual Babylon.

Scientists in Nazi Germany, many of whom came to America under “Operation Paperclip” after World War II were involved in psychic mind control operations like MK ULTRA. Scientists began looking for young children and adults who displayed a potential for psychic powers that could be employed in predictive programming and remote viewing experiments. Another term for this was multidimensional experiencers.

Scientists like Carl Jung, Nikola Tesla, Robert Monroe, Dr. H.E. Puthoff, Ingo Swann and many others began to experiment with seeing into other dimensions and the future. Their work represents one approach. The other approach, which involves a very high level of statistical accuracy and goes back over 4,000 years, is in the area of Biblical prophecy. My research has taken me into all these areas.

Beginning about four months before 2013 began; I began to experience what I can only describe as an intense sense of deep, spiritual, inner knowing regarding ominous events coming to America in 2013. To use accurate terminology, this spiritual knowing was produced by the work of the Holy Spirit in my life along with considerable research into economic, political, social and scientific trends. It also involved an extended study of the spiritual laws encoded into the Old and New Testament. The only way I can describe it is to say that it felt like carrying a very intense sense of urgency, almost like an electric charge, concerning our nation. The force of this charge carried me into the Presence of God on a deeper level to seek His face for answers.

The result was that I began to experience what I can only describe as a divine download of information, framed clearly by the Word of God. In addition, I felt compelled to write this down in a book I am now finishing entitled The Future of America in Prophecy, which issues both a warning and solution. In the final analysis, despite the tremendous dangers, I believe there is still a window of hope.

Scoffers Abound – By Jan Markell

Excuse me while I rant. I think Bible prophecy gets a bad rap. I think that those of us who long for Jesus’ return are marginalized in the church today. I even think there is a war on Bible prophecy starting in our seminaries. The carnage is played out in our churches that across-the-board stay away from the subject. The fact that the King is coming is seen as bad news to many because the event is shrouded in the world’s bad news.

But my perplexity goes beyond this. As a ministry, we have asked ourselves just how we can get the under age 45 crowd out to our events. Todd Strandberg of Rapture Ready writes about this as well. He says, “Every time I go to a prophecy conference, I can’t help but notice the sea of gray hair in the main meeting room. A few years back, at a conference in South Carolina, there wasn’t a single person under age 50 — and we had over 500 people in attendance.”

Strandberg concludes, “I’m very concerned about the state of leadership in the field of prophecy. I’m 47, and I am a spring chicken when compared to the ages of my peers.”

So I threw the dilemma out to my radio listeners this past weekend. I asked that if they were of the “younger generation,” and loved the topic of eschatology (end-times), would you please send me a note? I cannot say that I am inundated! I’ve had less than a dozen replies thus far. Here are a few examples.

Nick is 27 and writes, “I’m very concerned with the young generation. We are moving into the ‘end times’ at such a rapid rate and this young generation is in a coma.” Those are his words, not mine! I am certain that not every young person is in that condition.

Mike is 34 and writes, “You asked on your program today for young people to let you know if end-time prophecy is an issue. End-time prophecy is not AN issue, it is THE issue. You can look at it as I do as the blessed hope or you can look at it as frightening.”

Ashley writes, “I am completely enthralled about learning about end times and how events in our world are carrying us closer to the return of our King. It thrills me!! Most of my (young) friends know nothing about it and have little desire to learn. They say it scares them. Personally though, I am filled with hope that we could be caught up with Jesus and not have to taste death. I can’t wait to meet Jesus face to face!”

Russ, who is 32, writes, “It is surprising to me that there are so many people I have tried to talk to about prophecy who have brushed me off by saying that they consider it ‘doomsday talk.’ It is difficult to get anyone to even talk about it. Even my own family doesn’t want to hear about it and this includes all ages.”

Jenni writes, “I am 37 and want you to know that we ARE out here! I also thought I’d let you know that my 14 year old daughter is also just as interested in both the Rapture and end-time prophecy, and has become quite a missionary for Christ! One of our other favorite sites is Rapture Ready. Thanks for having Terry James on.”

Leah made my day by writing, “I see a real remnant among the church here in our military community who are actively searching Bible prophecy and discussing end-time things. We belong to a Bible study and I have personally had many conversations with some of the 30+ folks that attend, mostly the other young moms, and am surprised at how many of us really are feeling the urgency in the air. Many of us have taken our kids out of public school and are homeschooling in order to get our kids grounded in God’s Word so that they can take a stand in their faith, whatever comes. Your broadcast has helped us to ask important questions about our times and what our stance should be. THANK YOU! Take heart, the next generation does, indeed, have a remnant that is awake, listening and watching for Christ’s return. God Bless!”

These few replies out of a potential audience of millions, tells me there is a problem. I am told that younger people want to “live out their life.” This world is not our home and I thought we didn’t WANT it to be our home. This is the home of the Antichrist and everything evil. If I am off base here, I am hoping folks will tell me so!

Another e-mail emphasizes how terrified young mothers are concerning our times. They simply interpret all current/prophetic events as doom and gloom. Their world and their families must not be touched. See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. A sanitized world!

Then there are the mockers. Grant writes to me saying,

“An early 30’s pastor friend of mine I brought to your conference 2 years ago openly scoffed at what was said and argued against a lot of it when I tried to show him the realities of what is happening in this world today. I don’t have a lot of people to discuss these topics with.”

Eschatology spells out the devil’s demise and thus he is putting up a war against it. So the world asks — and scoffs, “Where is the promise of His coming?” just as the Bible predicted in II Peter 3:4. Don’t bother me with this info. Don’t depress me with it. Don’t enlighten me with it. Don’t bore me with it!

God has asked us to be His ambassadors in this depraved world. He asks us to stand for truth; to be light in the dark; to be salt in a world that is decaying. He asks us to distribute hope.

When you review all the road signs of the Olivet Discourse, Jesus was giving us some warnings, not to scare us, but to prepare us. A loving God keeps us informed on the days prior to the era of Antichrist. The warning is not to give in or to give up, but to endure.

Whether anybody gets excited about it or not, Jesus is coming again and soon. Whether those who are excited about that are young, middle age, or old, is irrelevant. His coming will be right on time. Then the final days will play out exactly as the Bible outlines. It’s a sure thing that those days will be frightful.

Let’s prepare ourselves for perilous times. We’re in them. The signs of the times are screaming at us! As a headline reads that I posted to our Web site headlines early today, “The Rapidity With Which the World Is Descending Into Chaos Is Amazing.”

That is why God’s end-time promises are so important and why it is tragic that they are now marginalized.

Magog connection to Boston Marathon bombers/Chechnyan region

bombers/Chechnyan region

Baghdad. Karachi. Lebanon. Damascus. These are the places on maps our eyes rove to when thinking of terror, jihad, and evil. We see a great amount of hate emanating from these places where satan has his throne. (Revelation 2:13; Ezekiel 28:12).

And just when we got used to this place or that place being the seat of terror, BLAM! Chechnya!

The two brothers who executed the terrorist bombings at the Boston marathon were from Chechnya. They were Muslim and subscribed to a jihadi point of view. The Boston police Commissioner said, “We believe this man to be a terrorist,” said Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis. “We believe this to be a man who’s come here to kill people.”

Aha. This explains a lot. It is part of ground zero of where the Gog Magog nations will combine to attack Israel in the Gog Magog Ezekiel 38 war.

Russia’s Caucasus: breeding ground for terror

“Militants from Chechnya and other restive regions in Russia’s volatile North Caucasus have targeted Moscow and other areas with bombings and hostage-takings, but the allegations of involvement in the Boston Marathon explosions would mark the first time they had conducted a terror attack in the West. The conflict in Chechnya began in 1994 as a separatist war, but quickly morphed into an Islamic insurgency whose adepts vow to carve out an independent Islamic state in the Caucasus.”

“The word of the Lord came to me; Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army – your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops – the many nations with you.’ (Ezekiel 38:1-6).

These Magog coalition nations are the nations of today –

Magog – there are over 130 historical references tying Magog to the ancient Scythians. In Colossians 3:11 Paul mentioned the Scythians. The Strong’s concordance identifies a Scythian as an inhabitant of Scythia or modern day Russia. The Great Wall of China was known as the “Ramparts of Magog” in ancient times and was built to protect China from Magog. Magog was a son of Japeth and inhabited central Asia. His children, the Scythians, are the ancestors of today’s Russian people.

Meshech and Tubal – These two were brothers of Magog and are linked to the same general area, but more likely with the Turkic people. Josephus associated Meshech with Cappodocia, home of the ancient Hittite Empire in Eastern Turkey.

Persia – Iran

Cush and Put – Ethiopia, Libya and the north part of the continent; Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, etc.

Gomer– Eastern Europe of today.

Beth Togarmah – Armenians of today call themselves the House of Togarmah. The Turks (but not the Kurds, who are the ancient Medes of Media-Persia fame) are also included, and they’re the ones Ezekiel had in view.

Sheba and Dedan – commentaries none-the-less identify these two as probably representing the nations of the Arabian Peninsula, notably Saudi Arabia. The ancient capital of Saudi Arabia is still called Dedan on many maps today.

Tarshish

Tarshish was a son of Javan, who settled the area of Southern Greece. There are three schools of thought where Tarshish is concerned. One view locates Tarshish to the East, accessible from Solomon’s great seaport at Ezion Geber on the Red Sea. Since Javan and his family traveled north and west from Babel at the confusion of tongues, it seems unlikely. Large sea going vessels were often nicknamed “Ships of Tarshish” and more likely this is how Tarshish came to be linked with Ezion Geber, since both Solomon and Hezekiah built such vessels there. Others see this as a reference to ancient Tartessus, a seaport in southern Spain, near Gibraltar. Still others recall the sea going navies of the Phoenicians, who operated Ships of Tarshish out of nearby Cadiz and sailed as far north as England for tin, a metal used in the making of bronze and other alloys, which they mined in Cornwall. Some believe that the name Britannia is actually derived from a Phoenician word meaning “source of tin.” If so, since the ships of Tarshish brought tin to the ancient world, this reference could be to Great Britain making the “lions” (KJV) or “villages”(NIV) of Tarshish Great Britain’s colonies, of which the US is most prominent today. The fact that the lion is a symbol of the British Empire lends support to this view.

Now look at the map again. Chechnya is smack dab in the middle of the exact geographic region which will combine in an unholy alliance against God, striking His nation Israel in the last days.

One thing that the surprise Chechnyan connection and the surprise US terror act tells us, is that satan is alive and well and busy, even in ways and in places we are not aware. If there is a good to come of this act, it is to unite us in prayer, to take a stand for Jesus, and to remember to put on our armor and be on guard even more vigilantly- spiritually.

No matter how dark the day, the Light is coming. He will prevail. He already has prevailed. In this way, all things are working perfectly to work out His plan. In the glory of the lilies, Christ was born across the sea, with a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me. His truth marches on! His day is coming!

Boston bombers: FBI hunting 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

Police believe the pair were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack

The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers.

Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.

More than 1,000 FBI operatives were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.

A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.

“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

A specialist team of CIA and FBI interrogators was yesterday flown to a Boston hospital to grill wounded Dzhokhar, 19, about the secret group. The University of Massachusetts student was caught on Friday after hiding out in a boat parked in a garden in locked down Watertown the day after a gun battle with police left his 26-year-old brother and a rookie cop dead.

Dzhokhar is said to have run his brother over as he escaped in a stolen car while Tamerlan lay handcuffed on the ground. They were carrying six bombs with them at the time, three of which exploded, as well as a handgun and rifle. The devices were thought to be pipe bombs.

Last night Dzhokhar – badly wounded but alive – lay handcuffed to his hospital bed under armed guard. The other three arrested in the port of New Bedford are also believed to be of college age.

Dzhokhar even went to a college party two days after the bombs wreaked havoc at the finish line. According to fellow students, he “looked relaxed” as he joined in a party at the campus on Wednesday night.

Hours later he was involved in the shootout which saw his brother killed.

Investigators have begun piecing together how the “well-mannered” brothers of Chechen origin were radicalised. Neighbours of the family said older brother Tamerlan had recently become obsessed with Islam. He mysteriously left the US in January last year to spend six months in Russia. Yesterday senior FBI counter-terrorism official Kevin Brock said: “It’s a key thread for investigators.”

It also emerged the Bureau interviewed Tamerlan two years ago, at the request of the Russian government, but could not establish that he had ties to terrorist radicals.

This was despite his worrying Russian-language YouTube page featuring links to extremist Islamic sites and others since taken down by YouTube.

One link showed an hour-long speech by an Islamic teacher called Shaykh Feiz Mohammed, while other videos are labled “Terrorists” and “Islam”.

The radical cleric, with links to extremist British Muslims, encouraged his followers to become martyrs for Islam. He said: “Teach them this: There is nothing more beloved to me than wanting to die as a mujahid.”

Yesterday the brothers’ mother Zubeidat, speaking from her home in Russia, added further intrigue to her sons’ murky past when she claimed the boys had been framed by the FBI over the two bombs last Monday that left three dead and 178 injured.

She claimed the FBI had been keeping watch on her eldest boy for up to five years. She said: “They knew what my son was doing. They knew what sites on the internet he was going to.

“They were telling me that he was really an extremist leader and that they were afraid of him. They told me whatever information he is getting, he gets from these extremist sites. They were controlling him.”

The bombers’ father Anzor wept at news that his youngest son had been captured alive. In a phone interview with a US news channel he told his

son: “Tell police everything. Everything. Just be honest.”

US Government officials have said the brothers were not under surveillance as possible militants. And an FBI statement said the matter was closed because interviews with Tamerlan and family members “did not find any terrorism activity, domestic or foreign”. But now they believe the pair, who emigrated to the United States from Dagestan about a decade ago, were part of a terror cell.

College dropout Tamerlan’s American wife Katherine Russell, 24, and their three-year-old daughter Zahara were yesterday thrown into the spotlight. She was a Christian before they married but converted to Islam. Her parents Warren, a doctor, and Judith were said to be “stunned” by their son-in-law’s involvement in the tragedy.

Judith and Warren issued a joint statement saying: “Our daughter has lost her husband today, the father of her child. In the aftermath of the Patriot’s Day horror, we know we never really knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Our hearts are sickened by the horror he has inflicted.”

Katherine, wearing a black hijab, was picked up by FBI agents at their home in Cambridge near Boston on Friday. Dope-smoker Dzhokhar was captured after a Watertown resident called police to say the fugitive was hiding in a boat in his back garden.

David Henneberry had gone into his garden for a cigarette after police lifted restrictions on people leaving their homes, believing the bomber had left the area. He noticed that the cover over his boat had blood on it and a strap had been cut. He went back into the house to get a stepladder and looked inside.

His stepson Robert said: “He stuck his head under the tarp and noticed a pool of blood and something crumpled up in a ball. Instead of being a hero of the moment and yelling at what we now know was the suspect, he did the right thing and called 911.”

Police immediately evacuated the family and surrounded the house, using a megaphone to tell Dzhokhar to come out with his hands up.

When he failed to respond they opened fire at the boat’s hull. Robert said: “They wound up shooting a couple of rounds through the boat. He wasn’t going to like that.”

Dzhokhar was wounded by the volley of gunfire and police were able to move in and arrest him. They later released infrared pictures taken from a helicopter showing Dzhokhar hiding in the boat.

Investigators will interrogate the bomber, still seriously ill last night, without reading him his rights – using special “public safety” powers.

The family of eight-year-old bombing victim Martin Richard welcomed the arrest of Tsarnaev. “Our community is once again safe from these men,” the family said in a statement.

Shortly before Dzhokhar’s capture, President Obama spoke by phone to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The White House said Obama “praised the close co-operation the US has received from Russia on counter-terrorism, including in the wake of the Boston attack”.

There were scenes of celebration across Boston as news spread of the capture of the remaining bomber.
