Astronomers Find Ancient Star ‘Methuselah’ Which Appears To Be Older Than The Universe

Scientists have discovered an “impossible” star which appears to be older than the universe.

The mysterious star Methuselah appears to be between 14 and 15 billion years old – a bit of an issue considering the universe itself is known to have come into existence 13.8 billion years ago.

Oddly enough, Methuselah is even located inside our own galaxy – about 190 light years away.

And even after using new information about the star’s distance from us, its brightness and its structure, scientists are unable to place an estimate of its age much below 14.5 billion years – still older than the universe.

Fortunately for the team from Pennsylvania State University and the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, there appears to be a margin of error of about 800 million years, or so – enough to just barely place the star below the age of everything else, if peace of mind is important to you.

The Helix nebula

Feel like you are being watched? This infrared image from NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope shows the Helix nebula, a cosmic starlet notable for its vivid colors and eerie resemblance to a giant eye.

Formally known as HD 140283, the star is the oldest object currently known to astronomers.

It was first discovered a century ago, moving more than 800,000 mph relative to our solar system.

The star is on a long and looping orbit around the galaxy, and is only briefly passing through Earth’s neighbourhood on the western spiral arm.

In the study published in Astrophysical Journal Letters, astronomers said the star was born in a ‘dwarf galaxy’ which was swallowed by the Milky Way more than 12 billion years ago.

Using new measurements the team was able to refine its estimate of the star’s position, and learn more about its structure.

The study suggests that further research might bring the age of the star down even further.

Has An Ancient Giant Handprint Been Found In A Cave In Nevada?

Something really weird has been found on the wall of a cave in Nevada, and it is shaking a lot of people up.  Two paranormal investigators named MK Davis and Don Monroe claim to have stumbled upon the handprint of an ancient giant in Lovelock Cave, and the pictures that have been released to the public are absolutely startling.  If this handprint is real, it is estimated that it would have belonged to someone 18 feet all.  And what makes all of this even more compelling is that there is a very old Native American tradition that says that a tribe of red-haired giants was burned inside that cave a very long time ago.  So could we actually be looking at solid evidence that the old Native American tradition about the red-haired giants is actually real?

There has been a tremendous amount of interest in this particular cave going all the way back to 1911.  At that time, two guano miners claimed that they discovered several sets of giant bones inside the cave…

In 1911 David Pugh and James Hart, two guano miners (yes, mining bat poo is really a thing) were excavating a cave on the eastern side of Nevada when they found something intriguing buried under 250 tons of excrement.

According to the men’s bizarre tale, hidden beneath six feet of bat crap they discovered several sets of giant bones, remains which many now believe belong to the Si-Te-Cah, a storied Paiute tribe of red-haired cannibal giants. Legend has it that the last remaining giants were burned alive inside the cave thousands of years ago.

Unfortunately, nobody knows where those bones are today, and without hard evidence the excitement over that cave subsided over the years.

But now this discovery by MK Davis and Don Monroe is renewing interest in Lovelock cave.  According to Paranormal Geeks Radio, this handprint has a number of characteristics that point to it being authentic…

This knife and its sheath have been used to get a measurement. It is 18 inches. Look at Don’s hand compared to print!  If the proportions are equal to regular humans, this being would be 18 feet tall!

Besides what appears to be dermal ridges showing in the soot/fat mix that appears to be the basis of this hand print (from the cave ceiling and further legitimizing the story of a conflagration with the giants inside), the impression shows more pressure on the thenar eminence of the palm and the first three fingers, which is typical for anyone pushing or lifting something heavy (just hold your hands in front of your head as if you’re cradling a boulder – the inner aspect of your hand settles that weight).

Posted below is a video of MK Davis discussing this discovery in more detail.  What he has to say is quite compelling…

But this isn’t the only discovery of this nature that has come out in recent years.

Last year, a German news source broke the story of a 15 inch long human finger that had been photographed in Egypt.  The photographs of the finger were reportedly taken by a researcher named Gregor Spörri in 1988.  The finger appeared to have been mummified, and from top to bottom it was approximately 15 inches long.  According to the German news source, it is estimated that the creature that this finger came from would have been about 16 feet tall.

This really is a remarkable photo.  If you look closely, you can even see where the fingernail would have been…

Unfortunately, nobody knows where this finger is today.  Spörri said that he had to pay “an old man from a grave robber dynasty” 300 dollars to see the finger and take photographs of it.  And since 1988 there have been no other reports of this finger.

Below is another view of the finger.  In this one, you can see part of a bone coming out of the end of it…

Another very strange piece of evidence that has gotten a lot of attention in recent years is “Goliath’s Footprint” in South Africa.  It is a footprint that is approximately 4 feet long, and it is located near the town of Mpaluzi, which is close to the Swaziland border.  A picture of Goliath’s Footprint can be seen below…

If you look carefully at the photograph, you can even see that there were five toes and that the big toe was the largest of the toes.

Posted below is a video that someone took of Goliath’s Footprint.  This video footage is quite stunning

So what does all of this mean?

Did extremely large giants once roam the ancient world?

To many, such a notion is completely absurd, but the truth is that there are a whole host of ancient stories and legends that claim that giants once existed on this planet.

And even the Bible makes such a claim.  In Genesis 6:4, we read the following…

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

So what do you think?

Are we looking at evidence that giants once lived on Earth?

Scoffers Waxing Worse and Worse

By Jan Markell
July 9, 2013

Scoffing has hit a whole new level but be of good cheer, it means the hour is very late.

If you have perused headlines recently, or watched a TV news hour, you are stunned at what’s going on. I am every morning as I post headlines here. I let them sink in and I shake my head. When has the world been in this much chaos? When have people been this unhappy, confused, addicted, pagan, angry and tuned out?

So Hollywood is making the apocalypse a joke in two movies: This is the End and Rapture Palooza. The latter features a scene where Jesus is blown out of the sky as He returns in His Second Coming. It doesn’t get any more outrageous. (What if a movie shot Mohammed or Allah out of the sky?!) And one movie critic states, “Satan, God, and Jesus are ultimately killed, leaving non-believers to live in peace.”

Well, not quite because that’s not the way it will happen. And if “the end” plays out sooner rather than later, the producers of such nonsense will not be laughing for long.

Sadly, it’s not just the pagans doing the mocking and scoffing, however. Many Christians, churches, and even entire denominations have similar attitudes. And while they are hardly as offensive, the end result is similar.

When Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life came in years ago, I was turned off by his scoffing at the Lord’s return and the topic of prophecy. On pages 285-286, he suggested that Jesus said His return was none of our business.

Excuse me. It’s almost one-third of the Bible! Warren suggests that considering it might get in the way of our purpose.

Two things define eschatology in the church today: Ignorance or apathy. People will tell you it will all play out as it is predicted but in the meantime, enjoy life. Or church leaders will tell you it is divisive and controversial.  This is just another manner of scoffing. It’s nowhere near as offensive as the above-referenced Hollywood movies, but the result is the same. There is a giant turn-off.

We scoff at eschatology (Bible prophecy) by ignoring the warnings that are a part of it. Haven’t you heard: All of the previous warnings have been false alarms so why should we pay attention to any of them now? Jesus will get here when He gets here. Settle down. What’s there to get so excited about? You end-time people are so negative! The sky is always falling for you people. Come on. Beasts coming out of the sea, plagues, famines, hail and an evil man called the Antichrist.  Can we move on to good news? The stock market is doing super well!  Don’t talk to me about bad times and rough sailing ahead!  My 401K has never done better.

We scoff with our apathy. Our unbelief. Our doubt. Our skepticism. Our boredom of the topic. Our disgust.  Our prophecy fatigue.  We’ve heard this story over and over since Hal Lindsey made the complicated plain over 40 years ago. No, we aren’t radicals like the producers of the sickening films mentioned who literally glorify the Antichrist and assassinate Jesus Christ in their productions.

But we are still scoffers. And we are oh so busy. We are running to and fro and we are trying to keep our ducks in a row and some day when they are all lined up perfectly, we’ll sit down and ponder His return. Maybe happy days will be here again this side of Heaven!

We go to marriage seminars, financial seminars, how to manage kids’ seminars but please spare us from an end-time focus. Boring. Depressing. Scary. We want to go to Heaven some day but maybe not right now!

One reviewer says about the This is The End flick, “When the apocalypse literally sets the world on fire, and the good people ascend to heaven while the not-so-good people are destroyed in gruesome fashion, one young star is stunned to learn there really is an afterlife, and a God, and all that.” The movie actually has an “aha moment.” It resonates with some truth although it was likely unintended.

But that comment says it all. Some day wicked mankind will realize that what the Bible predicted actually will happen and there will be consequences. There is a surprise ending for the unsuspecting.

Life on earth during the very end-of-days won’t be a series of silly escapades as portrayed in the Rapture Palooza and This is The End movies.

In one of them, the Rapture happened and millions are left to cope with plagues of trash-talking locusts, foul-mouthed crows, rains of blood, and fiery rocks from the sky, all preparations for the return of Jesus. The cast can relish in the fact that the world is a lot less crowded but the fact is, when this day actually transpires, no one left behind will even have a smile on their face.

The Bible contains detailed prophecies about the end times we are living in, and there is just no way to fully understand much of what is happening today apart from those prophecies.  From the meltdown in Egypt to the surveillance of Americans who thought they were safe and secure, only an end-of-days scenario can connect the dots and make things make perfect sense.

We can scoff at the scoffers and hold our heads high as we look up. We have the most marvelous news known to man. The King is coming and no cannon will shoot Him out of the sky!

He’ll be here right on time. It will be in God’s timing and not ours.

Parting thought: I wanted to put a different title for this article in the subject line: What if They Shot Allah Out of the Sky? I chose not to risk a Web site hacking for doing that as that has happened to this ministry numerous times. But I hear very little blow back from Hollywood blowing Jesus out of the sky with a quick clip of him lying next to his dead white horse in Rapture Palooza.

Interesting times.

MOVE OVER JESUS: NEW ‘SAVIOR OF HUMANITY’

At this turbulent time in history when many people are looking for answers to their problems, a brand-new TV campaign calling the Islamic prophet Muhammad the “savior of humanity” is about to saturate the airwaves of Australia.

“Tens of thousands” of dollars have reportedly been raised by the Muslim community to fund a series of 30-second commercials to begin airing on the country’s biggest networks starting July 9.

The ads are produced by My Peace, an Australian group looking to build bridges between the Muslim community and other citizens of the land Down Under.

The prime-time spots will air over the course of several months, and feature famous historical figures such as Mahatma Gandhi and George Bernard Shaw praising the virtues of Muhammad.

“This is a response to misinformation. Not many (Australians) are aware of who the prophet is and why we regard him so highly and so emotionally,” My Peace founder Diaa Mohamed told the Sydney Daily Telegraph.

“The commercials will be animated with voiceovers and will have quotes on the screen.

“Muhammad is the most influential man in history and the commercials will show what scholars and historians have said about him.”

Gandhi said the prophet “holds undisputed sway over the hearts of millions” and Shaw called him the “savior of humanity.”

My Peace is even selling tickets for those interested in attending the public premiere of the commercials.

This isn’t the first time the group has aired television ads to promote Islam.

Last year, it launched a campaign titled, “I’m Muslim and proud,” featuring a collage of photos of and audio quotes from individual Muslim “sponsors,” with comments including:

  • “I believe in Muhammad.”
  • “He was a prophet of God … like Noah, Moses and Jesus.”
  • “The same God as Jews and Christians.”
  • “The prophet Muhammad shunned racism … and mixed with everyone on equal terms.”
  • “The prophet Muhammad believed in the future builds on mutual respect.”

At the time, Diaa Mohamed said, “We hope this campaign enables the wider community to see us in a new light, to see that our values are closely matched and though our beliefs are different it doesn’t make us incompatible with the Australian way of life. We hope to energize the Muslim community with positive images so they see themselves as proud members of Australian society.”

“It’s the voice of the silent majority,” he claimed.

In the past five years, the number of Muslims in Australia has rocketed, soaring 40 percent to 476,291.

WILL THIS BE THE FIRST TIME THE WORLD SEES THE ARK OF COVENANT?

A very British problem of a leaky church roof could be about to give the world the chance to glimpse the legendary Ark of the Covenant.

That’s because the claimed home of the iconic relic – a small chapel in Ethiopia – has sprung a leak and so the Ark could now be on the move.

The Ark – which The Bible says holds God’s Ten Commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai – is said to have been kept in Aksum, in the Chapel of the Tablet, adjacent to St Mary of Zion Church, since the 1960s.

According to the Old Testament, it was first kept in the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem for centuries until a Babylonian invasion in the 6th century BC.

Leaking roof: The Chapel of the Tablet in Ethiopia that holds the Ten Commandments and has the water damage. The St Mary of Zion church, that originally held the tablet, can be seen in the foreground

Since then it’s been the goal of many adventurers and archaeologists to find it. Most-famously, but also fictitiously, Indiana Jones was shown in the 1981 Steven Spielberg film Raiders of the Lost Ark.

There has also been a long-running claim from the Orthodox Christians of Ethiopia that they have had the Ark for centuries, and since the 1960s it has apparently been kept in the chapel.

This small and curiously-styled building is surrounded by spiked iron railings, and situated between two churches, the old and new, of St Mary of Zion in central Aksum.

No one has been allowed to see the holy object, described in scripture as being made from acacia wood, plated with gold and topped with two golden angels, except one solitary elderly monk, who must watch over the Ark for the remainder of his life, and is never allowed to leave the chapel grounds.

But now the chapel – which was designed by the Ethiopian leader Emperor Hailie Selassie – has had to be covered in a tarpaulin to stop rain getting in.

The water damage could mean the Ark will be moved for the first time in decades giving religious worshippers and adventurers alike a chance to see it.

British photographer Tim Makins, 54, who is a travel photographer for publications like Lonely Planet, discovered the church had sprung a leak whilst travelling through Ethiopia last September.

He believes the moving of the Ark could be one of the best ways to discover if there’s any truth in the claims of the East African state.

Tim said: ‘During my most recent visit to the church, I was surprised to see some ground adjacent to the ”Chapel of the Tablet” being cleared and levelled by workmen, and some quantities of building stone being assembled nearby.

‘Asking around, I managed to discover that a new temporary chapel is due to be built, and the Ark is to be moved into it while the original chapel is repaired.

‘It seems that the builders of the 1960s were not as careful as the builders of centuries past, and the roof of the chapel has developed some serious leaks that now need comprehensive repair work.

‘To protect the Ark, a tarpaulin now covers the roof of the chapel but this is just a temporary measure.

‘To renovate the building thoroughly, the roof must be stripped back to the bare bones and so a replacement chapel is to be built next door providing a temporary home for it.’

Tim said the construction of the new temporary chapel would take about three months according to workers and religious figures at the site, though he suspects that it will probably take much longer.

He added: ‘When the work is finished, the Ark of the Covenant will be carried to its new resting place.’

‘That this can be done by the one person allowed to see it is unlikely, as The Bible describes the size of the Ark as 2.5 cubits in length, 1.5 in breadth, and 1.5 in height.

‘Cubits in today’s measurements translate to about 1.31 metres x 0.79m x 0.79m and it is normally carried on two long wooden poles.

‘If it really is this size, and still contains the two stone tablets that list God’s Ten Commandments, then the elderly monk will no doubt need some help to transport it.’

Nearing Midnight: The End Times Are Sneaking Up On Us

Todd Strandberg – http://www.raptureready.com/rap16.html

The Bible warns that someday a period of unparalleled calamity will sweep over this planet. During the time commonly known as the Tribulation, the loss of life will be so great that nearly all the inhabitants of the earth will perish. With the Word of God making such a dire prediction, you would think that Christians would be extremely sensitive to any events that seem to match prophecy.

According to Barna Research, 70 percent of the U.S. population believes that someday Jesus is coming back to earth. The same number of people are familiar with terms like: Tribulation, Antichrist, 666, or Armageddon and they realize their negative connotations. The understanding of prophecy may be very broad, but it is also extremely shallow. Everyone knows that 666, is a demonic number linked to the devil, but few people could tell you why it has a sinister association with evil.

Despite the fact that we are drowning in a sea of end-time signs, awareness has been dropping off sharply in recent years. This is actually yet another indicator of the end because Jesus talked more about the lack of awareness than any other sign. The Lord was so insistent about getting this point across that He repeated himself four times in the book of Matthew:

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Mathew 24:36).

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” (Matthew 24:42).

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 24:44).

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 25:13).

The one thing that helps me the most in being a last days watchman is keeping a record of how people’s reactions to world events has changed over the years. Back the 1980s, there was a continuous buzz over who might be the Antichrist. At any given time, there might be a dozen books in print that would point to a certain political leaders as being the Beast, of Revelation.

Today, this type of speculation has almost completely evaporated. I have to laugh when I think of how the writers of three decades ago would react to the deeds of President Barack Obama. If you could transport him back to the 80s, it would be like feeding time for a pack of hungry lions.

I’m equally amazed that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has largely escaped being assessed for how he would fit the roll of Gog. Putin has worked tirelessly to build alliances with Arab states that will make possible the Ezekiel 38 and 39 invasion of Northern Israel.

When I lived in Bellevue, Nebraska, there was a Christian bookstore I visited at least once a month to see the latest books on prophecy. Every time there was a major world event, it was guaranteed that a book on the subject would reach the market in a few months. You fast-forward two decades to today, and the field of prophecy books is a desert. The pace of new prophecy books is now measured in how many are published in a year.

One of the problems with prophetic awareness is that we have become too familiar with events that are related to the end-times. Back in the 1970s there was a huge amount of interest in all things related to the European Union. Back then, it was called the European Economic Community (EEC), and every time a new member was added there was great deal of excitement in prophecy. In 2013, the activity of this organization is oblivious to Bible scholars.

Another end-time sign is that people have become dangerously cozy with the surveillance technology. When in the 90s, the city of London installed cameras on every major corner to help prevent crime, we in America were shocked by this Orwellian move. After the 911, terrorist attack, opposition to big Brother cameras faded, and they have become all pervasive.

The massive disparity between the frequency of birth pangs and the general sense of apathy is what I have long-called the granddaddy of end-time indicators. I can trace consistent prophetic interest all the way back to the 1840s Miller movement. It doesn’t make sense for prophecy watchers to lose their focus, at the most critical moment in history.

If we are drawing very near to the Rapture, it’s vital for us to keep doing that which will be the most productive for the kingdom of God. We stay productive at Rapture Ready because we don’t want to be the foolish servant that Jesus warned us about.

“Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (Matthew 24:45-51).

False Prophet is one the scene

If you know about the Prophecy of the Popes great, if not there are articles on this site to help. A prophecy was given to an Irish archbishop named Malachy about the last 112 popes before the Lord’s return. It is not Scriptual, but the measure of any word given by God is that it comes true. With amazing accuracy to date this prophecy has been 100% up to this point. We need to see if this last pope is the False Prophet of Scripture. Rome is to be destroyed if this prohecy is true!

Pope Francis elected after supernatural ‘signs’ in the Conclave, says Cardinal

The surprise election of the Pope Francis came about because of a series of supernatural “signs”, one of the leading Cardinals in the Roman Catholic Church has claimed.

By John Bingham, Religious Affairs Editor

4:57PM BST 14 May 2013

Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, the Archbishop of Vienna, who was himself widely tipped as a possible successor to Pope Benedict, said he had personally had two “strong signs” that Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio was “the chosen one” in the run up to vote.

He said only divine intervention could explain the speed with which the Argentine Cardinal – who did not feature on any of the main lists of likely candidates compiled by Vatican experts – was elected.

Speaking to an Anglican conference in London, he also said the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev Justin Welby, had a “strange similarity” to the new Pope.

He said that the two elections were a “little miracle” and a “sign from the Lord” that the two churches should work towards closer unity.

Addressing an audience of 5,000 people in the Royal Albert Hall, at a conference organised by the prominent Holy Trinity Brompton church in west London, he said that he was certain that on the evening of March 12, as the papal Conclave began, none of the Cardinals had known who would be chosen.

“It was a tremendous experience of the Holy Spirit,” he said.

“We were driven by the Holy Spirit to this man – he was sitting in the last corner of the Sistine Chapel: This man he is the chosen one.”

He added: “I received at least two strong signs: one I can tell, the other was in the Conclave I can’t speak about – but real signs of the Lord giving me indication ‘he is the one’.”

The Cardinal said that just after a special mass before the Conclave began he came across a couple from Latin America who are friends of his.

He said: “I met them outside the Basilica and I asked: ‘You have the Holy Spirit, can you give me advice for the Conclave that will start in a few hours?’

“And the woman whispered in my ear ‘Bergoglio’, and it hit me really: if these people say Bergoglio, that’s an indication of the Holy Spirit.

“And I’m sure many of us have received similar signs during the Conclave, it wouldn’t have been possible to have this election so soon and so rapidly.”

To applause, the Cardinal went on: “You know there is a strange similarity with your Archbishop Justin, I hope so much that they will meet soon.”

Laughing, he added: “I don’t know the secrets of the ‘conclave’ at Lambeth Palace.

“But it looks like a little miracle that he became the Archbishop, so I think the Lord as given us a great sign through these two elections and other signs and what I have deeply in my heart … it is as if he would say to the world ‘come home, I wait for you’.”

FINAL SIGN ‘PREVENTING 2ND COMING OF JESUS’

He continued: “Is it remotely possible that the Jewish temple does not belong up on top where the Dome of the Rock defiantly sits? The crushing weight of Jewish tradition refuses to allow such an inflammatory and repugnant question. But a more critical question that trumps this colossal consensus is this: Would God Himself allow for His temple to be rebuilt where it does not belong?”

Many Christians expect a temple to be rebuilt before Jesus returns to Earth, as He spoke of “the abomination of desolation” standing in the holy place (Matthew 24:15), which is thought to be the inner sanctuary of the temple.

“Jerusalem and the Lost Temple of the Jews” revisits the facts of history by delving into archaeological discoveries, Bible Scripture, historical writings and eyewitness accounts.

It spends examining New Testament statements from Jesus concerning the temple, statements that may or may not have been fulfilled when the Romans leveled Jerusalem some 40 years after Jesus was executed there.

“After all the archaeological digs that have taken place in Jerusalem, not even one has unearthed any remnant of any foundation of any building from the first century. It was gone. It became just as Jesus said it would become, not one stone left standing upon another.

“But there’s a problem with the words of Jesus’ prophecy, because there are many stones left in the walls … that date back to the time of Herod. They are still standing one upon another, in fact close to 10,000 of them. So, either Jesus in His prediction wasn’t being precise in His facts, or there is something else we just do not or cannot understand.

The Dark Side of Bible Prophecy

By Gary Stearman on March 30, 2013

People often ask why we spend so much time in the discussion of bizarre topics, like UFOs and hybrid giants. They wonder why prophecy studies give any time at all to weird subjects like mystery lights in the sky, aerial trumpets and explosions, “alien implants” and “the nephilim.” They wonder why some opt for prophetic sensationalism, rather than focusing on the Gospel, or maturing the saints with the Word of God through traditional Bible study.

Such questions are not really new. Traditionally, the mainline institutional church has criticized Christians at the cutting edge of prophecy study for being irrelevant and speculative. They have taken the view that this age is going to end somehow, but the details are so unsupportable that no one can say exactly how. They insist that the elements of Bible prophecy are so confusing that no one can understand them anyway. Rather than have disagreement, they say, let’s avoid the subject entirely. Let’s just spend our time on teaching the daily walk in Christ. Maturing the saints is the real work of the church.

But Bible prophecy is now shining light on places that we’ve never been before. The stage is set in the Middle East. Latter-day Israel is positioned to fulfill the many prophecies laid out in the Old Testament. These deal with Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Jordan and other revolutionary powers appearing in the daily news.

In addition to that, the prophesied one-world governmental system is being forged into recognizable form, following two World Wars and growing stockpiles of superweapons. The shadowy outlines of Daniel’s fourth beast empire can now be recognized. It will arise out of a series of wars and economic cataclysms. All these things are poised for final fulfillment.

For over half a century, Bible scholars have detailed these and other international developments. Their books and recorded lectures are everywhere. They have sounded their warnings to anyone who would listen. Some have heeded their words; most have not. The important point here, is that regardless of the many disagreements, prophetic Bible study has now been accepted as more or less normal. There are different methods of interpretation, but the general belief is that we’re living in the end times.

This is an important factor for many Christians. In popular culture, it has become known well enough that non-Christians ridicule it. But even they grudgingly acknowledge its primary assertions. For example, the rapture is often lampooned on network television comedy stages. Even Jesus’ Second Coming is now being parodied as some kind of laughable fantasy.

Something New Has Been Added

The time has come. There is another aspect of Bible prophecy that, up until the last couple of decades, has remained quietly in the background. It grows out of the biblical pronouncement that the latter days would witness a veritable explosion of dark and alien power. The reality of this development is becoming self-evident.

Books, television, motion pictures and video games are replete with themes of malevolent beings that rise from the depths of Hades, and descend from the heavens. Whether they be outer-space aliens, fallen angels or devils escaped from the dungeons of the deep, they create a reality that haunts the mind of modern man. The veil that separates them from humanity is already growing thin. Among the young, there is a popular fascination with the human “undead” – werewolves, vampires, zombies and the like – who have risen to create their own reality. A generation ago, they fell in love with the cuddly E.T., the extraterrestrial. Creatures like him, both good and bad, have arrived in the hundreds. Fiction teems with his ilk.

These “imaginary” creatures have created a reality all their own. But curiously, they resemble biblical descriptions of the myriads of the damned. However, as mentioned in Scripture, they are anything but imaginary. Their presence should come as no surprise to Bible-believing Christians. Like expanding clouds, their presence rolls across the landscape, darkening this once-blessed nation.

In response, students of Bible prophecy are beginning to speak and write about subjects that have not been considered appropriate within the bounds of Christian tradition.

Actually, most of our time is spent on Scriptural exegesis concerning Bible prophecy and its relevance to current world events. And there, we are again faced with the basic question: If the supernatural is manifesting itself on a global basis, should we ignore it? Of course not! The Word of God always provides the best explanation for every event of our daily lives, no matter how bizarre or unexpected.

Once, not so long ago, the study of Bible prophecy was confined to certain classic approaches. Scholars dealt with prophecies of the Millennium, Daniel’s Seventy Weeks, Christ’s First and Second Comings, the destiny of the Church, the rise of the Antichrist, the nature and timing of the judgments, Dispensational issues and so on. But something in the world has radically changed. After two world wars and the development of computers, lasers, particle-beam weapons, high-tech surveillance systems and the rise of government monitoring, our vision of the future has become a ghastly mélange of sci-fi terror, satellite spying and the specter of genetic manipulation. DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research projects Agency, has declared its intent to develop genetically enhanced super-soldiers, and super-intellects with imbedded microchips. Once underway, there will be no end to such diabolical tinkering.

In the latter case, gene-splicing is now taking its place in modern medicine. Animals can be made to grow human replacement parts. But isn’t such an animal a chimera? And the Mosaic Law expresses God’s displeasure with such abortive creations. It forbids even the interbreeding of species, and current experimentation is much more serious than that.

Now, we are discovering that even classic physical and biological research is emerging at the forefront of the present eruption of sinister phenomena. This world has long been driven by dark entities lurking just behind the scenes. Now, they are coming forward into full view.

Those who bother to study the literature will quickly discover that every world government has highly-funded programs that deal with the paranormal: Top-secret organizations (already well established by the time of the Eisenhower administration) have devoted black budgets to the investigation and exploitation of strange alien activities. Their copious records reveal that they believe they are dealing with extraterrestrials from other planets. As we have pointed out over the years, every major government in the world has devoted its resources to working with these entities. Of course, we view them as demonic.

A visible example of this is the British military preoccupation with mysterious crop circles. Debunkers attempt to explain the complex mathematical designs as the products of imaginative hoaxers. But thousands of witnesses in England can document the sudden appearance of military helicopters and jets flying low over the newly-emerging crop designs that appear in the fields near Silbury Hill and Stonehenge. Curiously, these are the sites of ancient pagan religions … the “high places” of wicked sacrifices. Who’s making those exotic designs? None other than the ancient demonic powers!

From vampires to crop circles and beyond, ghostly and mystical apparitions appear in the vision of a public steeped in the ubiquitous background of dark supernatural literature, movies, video games, and demonic worship. In case you hadn’t noticed, these are constantly available in entertainment centers and living rooms around the world.

To explain these new experiences, we must turn to Scripture. After all, the Bible is the final authority on every aspect of life. More urgently than ever, we are returning to its pages in a quickening attempt to understand these new experiences. In the last couple of decades, we have become increasingly curious about UFOs and alien abductions. At the same time, we’ve become more conscious of the fact that Scripture speaks of aliens and their illicit relations with humans. It tells us about the fallen angels and giants who strode the Earth in ancient days, and their success in interbreeding with humans.

Scripture speaks of the unspeakable: Often, the ancient gods of Mesopotamia, Canaan and Egypt were human/animal hybrids, called “chimeras.” As this is written, they are a scientific reality. The coding of God’s genetic designs has been deciphered, enabling scientists to create genetic monsters in the name of improvement. The cure of disease and deficiency through creative genetics is possible, but at what price? The old world of Noah was destroyed precisely because of such genetic tampering.

Scripture tells us that there is nothing new about these things, as strange as they may seem. The Bible is becoming far more than a guide to daily devotions; it is a manual that offers the only hope for surviving the coming maelstrom.

Back to Daniel

To illustrate this premise, we should note that even the “prophetic classics,” like the book of Daniel, have recently opened up in unexpected ways that cast new light on the dark side of Bible prophecy. A perfect example of this is Daniel’s interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream:

“31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. 32 This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, 33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. 34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces” (Dan. 2:31-34).

The traditional interpretation of this monstrous image is that its four metallic sections represent four great world empires, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome. The latter-day revived Roman Empire is seen in the statue’s iron legs and its feet of iron and clay. Iron is the metal of enterprise and the industrial revolution. Iron smelting in the Roman Empire and the Western world created armies and machines of war, later rising on the power of its development in shipping, railroads, skyscrapers and bridges, to name of few of its attributes.

Common sense and simple observation will tell anyone that when an attempt is made to mix iron and brittle clay, the result is structurally unsound. This prophecy suggests that the iron empire will ultimately collapse because of its weakened foundation. But this raises an important question. Namely, what does the clay represent? Iron, we can understand. But clay … is it an infiltration of opposing principles? Is it an invasion by other nations?

Until recently, it was conceded that this was some human scheme that would topple the empire of iron. A popular view was that it referred to political marriages. Others have conjectured about the meaning of this strange prophecy, but the answer has evaded their grasp.

Fortunately, thanks to the context of the contemporary era, we now know exactly what it means. The verses that follow mention a group of interlopers, who attempt to inject themselves into the human race:

“42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. 43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay” (Dan. 2:42,43).

Here, we find that a latter-day mystery group will endeavor to mix its own genetic material with the “seed of men.” This expression is clearly speaking of the human genome. The seed of man is his genetic signature. And from beginning to end, the Bible is preoccupied with the idea that this seed is central to salvation. From the seed of Adam and Eve came the seed of Abraham and the twelve tribes. From the tribe of Judah came the seed of the woman. From it, sprang the virgin-born Messiah, Jesus.

That being said, it is clear from this prophecy that there will be another, latter-day attempt by the mysterious “they” to infiltrate the genome of mankind. They know that if human seed can be corrupted, it will render God’s plan of redemption null and void.

When did this happen the first time, and who did it? The clear answer is given in Genesis, Chapter Six, in the record of the fallen angels who mingled their seed with the seed of mankind, resulting in a societal monstrosity that God was forced to destroy in the Flood of Noah. There is growing historical evidence that the entire creation – human and animal – was tainted.

Daniel’s prophecy tells us that just before the giant statue’s iron legs crumble (in the days of the Great Tribulation), fallen angels will descend openly to Earth once again. Then, they will repeat their evil work. Jesus own statement gives credence to this idea, as recorded in Luke 17:26:

“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.”

Are we living in these days now? The answer is “Yes, certainly.” And how do we know this? Because those with eyes to see can understand that an alien force is now infiltrating the human race, with the express purpose of creating human-alien hybrids, some of which are indistinguishable from pure human beings. In other articles, we have documented the abduction phenomenon in explicit detail.

And why would they do this? To create a race of beings from which the Antichrist will emerge. In Revelation, he is called the “beast.” A beast is not a human being.

We have arrived at the heart of this “unmentionable” topic: human/alien hybridization. If it’s in the Bible, and if we see the first signs of it in daily observation, we should discuss it.

In Daniel, Chapter Eleven, the prophet gives us his view of the “beast.” It is couched in terms of what we would call “the supernatural.” But again, we must deal with it as a reality:

“36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. 37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. 38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain” (Dan. 11:36-39).

Here, we see Daniel’s vision of the Antichrist. His description, perfectly in agreement with that seen in Revelation, displays a persona of things mystical and paranormal. He appears as superhuman, above earthly temptations of the flesh, disdaining relations with women and with any competing “god.” He sees himself as unique, even indomitable. His appearance suggests that he is something different from a normal human being. In fact, it is strongly suggested that he is controlled by a dark power who occupies and guides his mind. He would not be the first despot to fit this category, but he will be the most powerful example of it. To ordinary humans, he will seem like a superior being, able to summon the powers of the heavens.

In short, he is seen as godlike, making amazing proclamations of virtually divine nature, during the Tribulation.

He does not honor the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But he establishes himself in Jerusalem, apparently in an edifice built upon the Temple Mount. Who is he?

Seen in the context above, he must be something other than human … a semi-human creature spawned by the mysterious “they” of Daniel’s earlier vision.

We live in alarming proximity to the fulfillment of this prophecy. At present, we are in transition to a time when the supernatural will become the natural.

We have reached the time when Bible prophecy has become serious. Its dark side is rapidly becoming visible. This being the case, the end of the Church Age must be very, very near

comet.

Is the Sky Falling? – Perry Stone

I won’t rehash the recent event that made global news, neither will I comment on the numerous “talking heads” making comments and warning the world of a possible asteroid striking the earth. The attention of the world was riveted to Russia, where over 1,000 people were injured in a town – not from the asteroid striking buildings, but from doors being blown open and from flying glass from thousands of broken windows. The wreckage was caused when this large asteroid entered the earth’s atmosphere.

Several eyewitnesses taped the arrival of the cosmic object on their cell phones and the images have gone viral on the internet and have been viewed by millions over television. Within days, over California, Europe and Cuba, individuals reported the streaks in the heaven where small asteroids or “fallen stars” broke up. In one week, four asteroids were spotted coming close to the earth. In January, I along with Larry and Gina Bean were flying from Florida in the ministry plane when the pilot said, “Look out the front window!” We all were stunned and amazed to see a small asteroid or falling star breaking apart as it entered the earth’s atmosphere. We were flying 24,000 feet in the air and the night sky was clear. There were countless streaks and sparks behind the moving object. My comment was, “What would happen if our plane was in the track of that object?”

There are numerous prophecies in both the Old and New Testament that indicate a shaking in the heavens (Isa. 13), and stars falling from heaven (Matt. 24:29). In fact, Luke speaks of “signs in the sun, moon and the stars,” and of “great and fearful signs from heaven” (Luke 21:11; 25). When the cosmic heaven is shaken and the falling stars and asteroids strike the earth, this is a major sign of the return of the Lord. In the book of Revelation, a “star” falls from heaven, striking an unknown location on earth, causing a third of the grass and trees to be destroyed and the water to become bitter. In Greek this word “star” is aster, or literally a fallen heavenly body, such as an asteroid (Rev. 8:10-11). It has been reported that there are over 10,000 asteroids that could be a danger to the earth and only 1,000 are spotted at this time.

In the future tribulation there will be countless signs from the heaven in the form of falling stars, asteroids and so forth. This is one reason men’s hearts will begin to fail them for fear of looking after those things that are coming upon the earth. Recently, the government conducted a series of investigations on Capitol Hill as to what would occur if a large asteroid were to strike a major city in America, and how can you prepare for it. The answer was a one word statement…”Pray.”
