Throughout U.S. history, there have always been droughts in the western half of the country from time to time, but what we are dealing with now is truly alarming. Scientists tell us that a multi-year “megadrought” has developed in the southwestern portion of the country, and this is the worst year of that “megadrought” so far by a wide margin. If conditions do not radically improve soon, we are going to have a major agricultural disaster on our hands. Some farmers have already decided not to plant crops at all this year, but many others have decided to plant anyway knowing that if enough rain doesn’t come their crops will certainly fail.
As I have discussed previously, the epicenter of this “megadrought” is the Four Corners region in the Southwest, but this drought is so immense it is even causing immense nightmares for farmers as far away as North Dakota.
In fact, the first few months of this year were the driest that North Dakota has seen in 126 years…
The period of January to March 2021 was the driest in 126 years for North Dakota. Farmers are starting to make difficult decisions on planting and culling herds as the governor of the state declared a statewide drought disaster on April 8. Soil moistures across the state, particularly in western portions of North Dakota, are lacking sufficient moisture to sustain normal crop development growth. The first eight days of April 2021 offered little help as hot, summer-like temperatures, gusty winds, and low humidity across the state accelerated drying conditions.
Perhaps you don’t care about what is happening in North Dakota, but you should, because much of the wheat that we use for pasta and flour comes from that region…
Things are dry and dusty in the Upper Midwest, the Northern Plains states and the Prairie provinces of Canada.
This region, spanning states such as North Dakota and provinces such as Manitoba, is the most important one for spring wheat, the higher-gluten variety that’s used for pasta or mixed with other wheat for all-purpose flour. And that crop is at significant risk, because conditions in the region are pretty dire this year.

The US Drought Monitor shows around 70 percent of North Dakota in “extreme drought” conditions, with most of the rest in the slightly less scary “severe drought” rating. As a result, the futures prices of both spring wheat and canola are at their highest in years, with traders expecting a lower harvest this year.
Despite all of our advanced technology, farmers can’t grow crops if it doesn’t rain, and a farmer in Texas named Blake Fennell says that his farm has not had any significant rain in almost two years…
The West Texas farmer says his area hasn’t seen significant rain fall in nearly two years.
“We’ve still got to give that crop every chance we think we can get, but at the same time, we also can’t waste a lot of money on a crop that we don’t think we’re going to have going into it,” he says.
What a nightmare.
Right now, nearly the entire state of Texas is in some level of drought, and we haven’t even gotten to the summer months yet.
To call this a “plague” would be a major understatement. On the border of Oregon and California, farmers just learned that water levels are so low that they will only get “a tiny fraction of the water they need” in 2021…
Hundreds of farmers who rely on a massive irrigation project that spans the Oregon-California border learned Wednesday they will get a tiny fraction of the water they need amid the worst drought in decades, as federal regulators attempt to balance the needs of agriculture against federally threatened and endangered fish species that are central to the heritage of several tribes.
Oregon’s governor said the prolonged drought in the region has the “full attention of our offices,” and she is working with congressional delegates, the White House and federal agencies to find relief for those affected.

Wracked by drought, climate change and overuse, a key reservoir on the Colorado River could sink to historically low levels later this year, new US government projections show, potentially triggering significant water cutbacks in some states as early as next year.
The projections released by the US Bureau of Reclamation show that Lake Mead — the largest reservoir in the country and a vital water supply to millions across the Southwest — could fall later this year to its lowest levels since it was filled in the 1930s.

Failed trilateral negotiations being carried out in the Congo over an Ethiopian dam in the Nile river led to Egyptian threats of war. The negotiations broke down last week after Ethiopia rejected a Sudanese proposal to include international mediators in talks leading to threats of war.
THE GRAND ETHIOPIAN RENAISSANCE DAM ON THE BLUE NILE RIVER
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi implied in a speech on Wednesday that Egypt could respond with war to Ethiopia filling the dam on the Nile River. “We have witnessed the costs of any confrontation,” Sisi said at the opening of a new government complex. “I am telling our brothers in Ethiopia, let’s not reach the point where you touch a drop of Egypt’s water because all options are open.”
Sisi noted that Egypt and Sudan were cooperating and” “cooperation and agreement are much better than anything else”.
Ethiopia responded that his country would continue filling the dam but that war was not an option. “As construction progresses, filling takes place,” Bekele said. “We don’t deviate from that at all.”
Filling the reservoir began in July 2020. It will take between 4 and 7 years to fill with water. Egypt fears a temporary reduction of water availability due to the filling of the dam and a permanent reduction because of evaporation from the reservoir which could reduce Nile flows by as much as 25%.
“There is no need to enter an unnecessary war,” Ethiopia’s water minister Seleshi Bekele told reporters on Wednesday. “A war can’t start because of water. Water flows if you fight today, it’ll continue to flow tomorrow.”
The dispute is three-pronged as Sudan also has an interest. Though not as extreme as Sisi, Sudan’s Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Yasser Abbas also suggested that a harsh response to Ethiopia as on the table.
“For Sudan, all options are possible, including returning [the matter] to the United Nations Security Council and hardening policy … (if) Ethiopia embarks on a second filling (of the dam) without agreement,” Abbas told reporters last week.
“We are not utilizing water generated from Egypt or Sudan as water doesn’t flow upstream to Ethiopia,” Bekele explained. “We are utilizing water from Ethiopia for our dire need following equitable and reasonable utilization without causing significant harm to our neighbors.”
The situation has been volatile for some time and last year, President Trump intervened, brokering a deal that Ethiopia eventually reneged on. Trump warned Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok that Egypt could resort to “blowing up the dam.”
The conflict over the Nile has been brewing for almost a century but came to a head when construction began in 2011 on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile River(GERD) formerly known as the Millennium Dam and sometimes referred to as Hidase Dam. The primary purpose of the dam is electricity production to relieve Ethiopia’s acute energy shortage. It is expected to go online next year and eventually, the dam will be the largest hydroelectric power plant in Africa as well as the seventh-largest in the world.
ISRAEL THE KEY TO RECEIVING THE NILE’S BLESSING
Rabbi Yosef Berger, the rabbi of King David’s Tomb on Mount Zion, noted that the Nile River can be the source of blessings as well as the source of curses from God.
“When Jacob went to Egypt, he settled in Goshen because of the blessings the Nile bestowed upon the Hebrews,” Rabbi Berger told Israel365 News. “But when it came time for the exile to end, the Nile became the source of several of the plagues. As long as the Egyptians were kind to the Jews, the river remained a source of blessing.”
This became clear last September when the Nile flooded, displacing at least half a million Sudanese and killing at least one hundred. This blessing, according to Rabbi Berger, is, like any blessing, dependent on the relationship between the countries and Israel.
I will bless those who bless you And curse him that curses you; And all the families of the earth Shall bless themselves by you.” Genesis 12:3
“This was especially true of Egypt and the Nile,” Rabbi Berger said. “The Egyptians saw the Nile as the source of their power, which is why they used it to kill the Jewish babies. So God used the Nile to punish them to show that even the Nile serves Him.”
Israel currently has relations with all three countries. Israel signed a peace agreement with Egypt in 1979. Israel has long had relations with Ethiopia culminating in the government allowing the emigration of Ethiopia permitted the emigration of the Beta Israel Jews. Israel recently presented Sudan with a draft agreement for establishing diplomatic relations but the Sudanese want an endorsement from the Biden administration.
Rabbi Berger noted that the prophets predicted that the Nile River would play a role in the final redemption.
And the Nile papyrus by the Nile-side And everything sown by the Nile Shall wither, blow away, and vanish. Isaiah 19:7
“These three countries are correct to fight over the Nile,” Rabbi Berger said. “It will be the method their role in the end of days will be expressed. But what they don’t understand is that if they want the blessings of the Nile, they must bless Israel.”
NILE LIBEL BLAMING ISRAEL
Egypt jealously protects its prime water source and has even seen Israel as a partner in the Ethiopian threat. In 2003, when Ethiopian announced that it intended to construct the GERD, Arab media claimed the project was a subterfuge intended to conceal an Ethiopian-Israeli plot to cripple Egypt.
Though Israel is clearly not looking toward the Nile as a water source, water has frequently been the source of conflict between Israel and its neighbors. From the inception of Israel in 1948, the issue of water sharing from the Jordan–Yarmuk system turned out to be a major problem between Israel, Syria, and Jordan resulting in frequent border skirmishes. In 1964, the Arab states decided to deprive Israel of 35% of the National Water Carrier capacity, by a diversion of the Jordan River headwaters (both the Hasbani and the Banias) to the Yarmouk River. Control of water resources and Israeli military attacks against the diversion effort are considered among the factors which led to the Six-Day War in 1967.
Fortunately, Israel currently has a surplus of water due largely to home-grown innovations in the field of desalination resulting in five major desalination plants producing around 600 million cubic meters a year. Hopefully, this will prevent future conflict, though it clearly has not silenced the water libels.
Though the past year has been replete with troubling news items that include a pandemic and hotly contested US Presidential election, the earth shaking beneath our feet seems to have gone unnoticed.
42 MAJOR EARTHQUAKES IN 65 DAYS
In the first 65 days of this year, 42 major quakes, magnitude 6 or higher, have shaken the planet. The year with the largest total was 2010, with 24 major earthquakes greater than or equal to magnitude 7.0. In 2011, a total of 207 earthquakes of magnitude 6.0 or higher shook the earth, culminating in a 6.6 magnitude earthquake that caused the catastrophic meltdown of the Fukushima nuclear reactor and the concurrent 9.1 magnitude earthquake in Tohuka, Japan that killed over 20,000 people.
Powerful earthquakes shook the Kermadec Islands region of New Zealand on Thursday, setting off tsunami warnings.
But attention should be paid to less dramatic geologic rumblings as well. Iceland was hit by more than 18,000 earthquakes in the past week including a magnitude 7.3 earthquake, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake, and a magnitude 8.1 earthquake. In addition, authorities are warning that two volcanoes in a densely populated region of the country could erupt at literally any moment.
The number of earthquakes is increasing. In the first 65 days of 1921, exactly one century ago, only seven major quakes, magnitude 6 or higher were recorded globally according to the USGS DataBase. In the same period last year, a total of 24 major quakes, magnitude 6 or higher were recorded around the globe. Back in 2019, just 20 major quakes had been reported up to March the 6th, just 50% of this year’s total. In 2018, a total of 24 major quakes were reported in the first 65 days of the year and in 2017 just 15. 24 major earthquakes were recorded in the beginning of 2016 and in 2015, just 18.
While acknowledging that there is a marked increase in seismic activity, the authorities claim there is nothing to worry about.
“A temporary increase or decrease in seismicity is part of the normal fluctuation of earthquake rates,” The United States Geological Survey (USGS) wrote. “Neither an increase or decrease worldwide is a positive indication that a large earthquake is imminent. The ComCat earthquake catalog contains an increasing number of earthquakes in recent years–not because there are more earthquakes, but because there are more seismic instruments and they are able to record more earthquakes.”
“According to long-term records (since about 1900), we expect about 16 major earthquakes in any given year. That includes 15 earthquakes in the magnitude 7 range and one earthquake magnitude 8.0 or greater. In the past 40-50 years, our records show that we have exceeded the long-term average number of major earthquakes about a dozen times.”
VOLCANOES ALSO INCREASING
But earthquakes aren’t the only concern. Europe’s most active volcano, Mount Etna in Sicily, erupted seven times in the past two weeks. A large eruption started at Sangay volcano, Ecuador on Saturday. An earthquake swarm shook Mount Hood, a potentially active stratovolcano near Portland, Oregon for 45 minutes last week, raising concerns that the volcano was beginning to awake. Mount Sinabung in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province began erupting last Tuesday, sending volcanic materials as high as 16,400 feet into the sky with authorities recording 13 times when it released ash clouds. Three weeks ago, Fuego volcano, located 50 kilometers away from the capital city of Guatemala, started to erupt. As of yesterday 43 volcanoes around were erupting or showing signs of activity.
It should be noted that bursts of tremors similar to what was felt in Iceland last week have been observed ahead of previous volcanic eruptions in the region.
Since January 20, 2021, 1,722 weak earthquakes were detected under the Pinatubo Volcano in the Philippines.
PURIFICATION THROUGH DESTRUCTION
Earthquakes are prophesied to accompany the end-of-days. Earthquakes and volcanoes are explicitly mentioned by the prophets as playing a role in the end of days, preparing the world by burning away impurities as a crucible is used in metallurgy to purify metal.
But Hashem God is the true God, He is the living God, and the everlasting King; at His wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide His indignation. Jeremiah 10:10
This multifaceted natural catastrophe scenario facing that region of the country conforms to the prophet’s description of the period preceding Messiah in which volcanoes will serve as a means to purify the inhabitants of the earth for the Messianic period to follow.
“And I will bring the third part through the fire and will refine them as silver is refined and will try them as gold is tried; they shall call on My name and I will answer them; I will say: ‘It is My people’ and they shall say: ‘Hashem is my God.’” Zechariah 13:9
How much shaking is it going to take for most people to wake up? As I write this article, New Zealand continues to be slammed by large earthquake after large earthquake. On the other side of the globe, Iceland has been hit by more than 18,000 earthquakes in the past week, and authorities are warning that two volcanoes in a “densely populated” region of the country could erupt at literally any moment. On Wednesday, I wrote that “we are moving into a time when I believe that the changes that are happening to our planet will accelerate dramatically”. That was before an area off the New Zealand coast was shaken by a magnitude 7.3 earthquake, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake and a magnitude 8.1 earthquake on Thursday. Following the magnitude 8.1 earthquake, there have been 33 aftershocks of at least magnitude 5.0. Of course by the time you read this article that number will inevitably be even higher.
As I have warned so many times, the infamous “Ring of Fire” is roaring to life, and the major quakes that just shook the New Zealand coast prompted authorities to warn of the potential for tsunamis…
Several powerful earthquakes hit near the coast of New Zealand on Thursday night and Friday morning, prompting tsunami warnings for New Zealand and tsunami watches for Hawaii.
The most powerful was an 8.1 quake that hit some 620 miles northeast of New Zealand on Friday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Two earlier quakes registered magnitude 7.4 and magnitude 7.3.
Thankfully, no large tsunamis were generated this time.
“This evacuation advice overrides the current COVID-19 Alert Level requirements. Do not stay at home if you are near the coast and felt the earthquake LONG or STRONG. Evacuate immediately to the nearest high ground, out of all tsunami evacuation zones or as far inland as possible. Stay 2 metres away from others if you can and it is safe to do so.”
After watching what happened during the Fukushima disaster, none of us should take the threat of tsunamis lightly ever again.
The good news is that the tsunami threat has now passed and the quakes were far enough away from New Zealand that no serious damage was done.
But experts are warning that it is just a matter of time before a historic disaster strikes. The entire west coast of the United States sits along the Ring of Fire, and seeing so much unusual activity elsewhere along the Ring of Fire should definitely concern coastal residents.
In fact, on Thursday there was an “explosion” at Mount Veniaminof in Alaska…
A small explosion was recorded Thursday at a remote volcano on the Alaska Peninsula, prompting officials to raise the alert level.
Satellite and webcam views indicated low-level ash emissions from Mount Veniaminof volcano. The ash plume did not rise above 10,000 feet (3048 meters), the Alaska Volcano Observatory said. Minor ash deposits are visible at the volcano, located 480 miles (772 kilometers) southwest of Anchorage.
Meanwhile, things are getting crazy on the other side of the planet as well.
Guatemala’s Pacaya volcano continued to spew columns of ash thousands of feet (meters) into the air Thursday, but residents of hamlets on the volcano’s slopes have largely ignored a recommendation to evacuate, relying instead on folk traditions and their own knowledge of the peak to judge when it’s time to go.
Of course Guatemala sits directly along the Ring of Fire, and many experts are watching developments there very closely.
With so much seismic activity happening elsewhere along the Ring of Fire, it amazes me that so many people on the west coast continue to assume that a major disaster will never hit them.
But even though so many people are ignoring them, the warning signs are definitely there.
As I discussed earlier this week, Mt. Hood was shaken by earthquakes for 45 straight minutes on Monday.
One of these volcanoes on the west coast is likely to erupt sooner rather than later. Of course a massive earthquake along the San Andreas fault could happen at any time, and scientists assure us that a major rupture of the Cascadia Subduction Zone is inevitable.
I know that authorities are interested in keeping people calm, but the truth is that we have entered a time when the crust of our planet is going to be getting increasingly unstable.
Just in the time that it has taken me to write this article, there have been four more earthquakes off the New Zealand coast of at least magnitude 5.0.
The talking heads on television are going to keep telling you that all of this is “normal” and that there is nothing to be concerned about at all.
You can believe them if you would like.
But we are going to continue to see unusual earthquakes and violent volcanic eruptions shake the globe.
The clock is ticking for our planet, and many believe that all of this shaking is leading up to something really, really big.
The locusts are back, and they are hungry. Last year, an unprecedented plague of locusts devastated crops in eastern Africa, across the Middle East and throughout much of Asia. Many were hoping that it would just be a one year phenomenon, but now the locusts have returned and one British news source is using the world “biblical” to describe this second wave. At this moment, the Horn of Africa is being hit the hardest, and the UN is warning that this new infestation “threatens the livelihoods of more than 39 million people”…
According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the next generation of locusts threatens the livelihoods of more than 39 million people in Ethiopia, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, and Kenya. Over recent months, the pests have been combated on 1.3 million hectares of land in the Horn of Africa. However, in northern and central Kenya, more than 15 districts, including many new areas, have already been severely affected by the second wave of locusts. Around 1.9 million people were already living in a precarious nutrition situation, which could now dramatically worsen.
One reporter recently had the opportunity to fly with a pilot that is tracking locust swarms in Kenya, and he was stunned when they came across a “swarm about twice the size of the City of London ready to devour every bit of vegetation in its wake”.
“The locusts have eaten all the pasture that was there for our livestock,” the 62-year-old told DW. “We are suffering. Even food that we humans eat isn’t there, what can we do?”
Needless to say, this new wave of locusts is going to make the emerging global food crisis even worse.
In 2020, a combination of the COVID pandemic, the locust plague and other factors pushed global hunger to levels that we had not seen in decades. According to the UN World Food Program, nearly 700 million people were suffering from hunger late last year…
The numbers are staggering— as reflected in the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which has triggered a new round of food shortages, famine and starvation.
According to the Rome-based World Food Programme (WFP) 690 million people do not have enough to eat while 130 million additional people risk being pushed to the brink of starvation by the end of the year.
The head of the World Food Program says the Nobel Peace Prize has given the U.N. agency a spotlight and megaphone to warn world leaders that next year is going to be worse than this year, and without billions of dollars “we are going to have famines of biblical proportions in 2021.”
When David Beasley made that statement, he didn’t even know that another massive plague of locusts would be hitting Africa this year.
Unfortunately, this new locust plague could soon escalate dramatically. According to an expert in Kenya, his team is expecting that March and April could be even worse…
“We expect the worst if the young hatch in March and April,” said Kelvin Shingles, Kenya Country Director for German Agro Action (Deutsche Welthungerhilfe), an aid organization, in a press release.
For a long time, I have been warning that global food supplies were getting tighter.
Here in the western world, we can still go to the grocery store and fill up our carts with plenty of food, and so it can be difficult for us to have sympathy for those that are literally facing starvation on the other side of the planet.
But the truth is that it is happening, and the number of people that are suffering from hunger is going to continue to grow.
Even in the best of times we have struggled to feed everyone on the planet, and these are definitely not the best of times. Even the UN is warning that “famines of biblical proportions” are coming, and the suffering that we will witness will be off the charts.
Here in the United States, our food distribution systems have been rattled by the events of the past year, but there is still lots of food on the shelves.
Of course it is quite true that economic suffering is on the rise, and we have seen a number of instances where Americans have been forced to wait in lines that are miles long at local food banks around the nation.
And it is also undeniable that food prices have been rising aggressively, and this will become an even greater concern as time rolls along.
But for now, let us be thankful for what we still have, and let us also pray for those that are suffering on the other side of the globe because these locust invasions are truly, truly awful.
In a separate statement, five chairmen of the U.S. Bishops’ Conference condemned the Equality Act, saying it would “impose sweeping new norms that negatively impact the unborn, health care, charitable services, schools, personal privacy, athletics, free speech, religious liberties, and parental rights.” “The Act’s unsound definitions of ‘sex’ and ’gender identity’ would erase women’s distinct, hard-won recognition in federal laws,” the bishops said. On Friday, Catholic League President Bill Donohue joined the bishops in denouncing the attempt to impose gender ideology on the nation in the name of “equality.” “The Equality Act is, without a doubt, the most radical assault on religious liberty, the right to life, and privacy rights ever packaged into one bill,” Dr. Donohue declared.
Strong Catholic and ‘President’ Joe Biden urged Congress Friday to “swiftly pass” the Equality Act, setting him squarely on a collision course with the U.S. Catholic Bishops.
In 1933, Adolf Hitler proposed the Enabling Act that was promoted as something that would ‘enable’ Hitler to keep the German people safe and secure, in reality it did the exact opposite. The Enabling Act made Hitler supreme dictator and enabled him to kill 6 million Jews in a war that killed 55 million people. In our day, the Equality Act is now about to be put up for a vote, and like the Enabling Act before it, it does the exact opposite of what its title would lead you to believe.

Under the guise of ‘transgender protection’, the Equality Act will obliterate gender, rendering the term meaningless, and force people to accept biological men as women under penalty of law. In a wonderfully iconic touch, the Equality Act now being demanded by the radical Left will destroy the feminism movement. If men can magically become women, then being a woman is really nothing unique or special, is it? Men cannot be feminine, that is a biological and scientific impossibility, they can be effeminate which is what transgenders are, but feminine is a quality only biological women can possess. In the bible, effeminate is an attribute of an unsaved person who rejects the gospel of the grace of God.

The worst part of the Equality Act is that it will allow gay and straight pedophiles unfettered access to your children in the locker rooms and in the ladies room, is that something that you parents of minor children can live with? Transgenderism is a mental disorder, and it is a spiritual sickness, it is not something to be embraced and accepted. It goes against the bible, it goes against God, it is a doctrine of Satan. That’s not hate speech, that’s the truth. Mark my words, if they pass the Equality Act, the next step will be legalized pedophilia. Guaranteed.
Joe Biden Collides with Catholic Bishops over Equality Act

The U.S. Bishops, along with numerous other faith leaders, have expressed their consternation over the prospect of the Equality Act, urging Congress not to pass the legislation, which would be especially damaging to women and devastating to religious freedom.
In a 2019letter to the Committee on the Judiciary of the House of Representatives, the bishops and other Christian leaders said the Equality Act “hinders quality health care, endangers the privacy and safety of women and girls, regulates free speech, severely undermines religious freedom, and threatens charitable nonprofits and the people they serve.”
THE PROPOSED LEGISLATION IS NOT ABOUT TREATING ALL PEOPLE “WITH EQUAL DIGNITY AND RESPECT,” THEY NOTED, BUT WOULD “MANDATE THAT ALL HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS AND PROVIDERS PERFORM GENDER TRANSITION PROCEDURES THAT GO AGAINST MANY SUCH PROVIDERS’ BEST MEDICAL JUDGMENT, NOT TO MENTION THEIR DEEPLY HELD MORAL OR RELIGIOUS CONVICTIONS.”
The legislation would also “undermine civil rights for women and girls by opening restrooms, locker rooms, and shower facilities to biological males who identify as female,” they declared. “Women and girls deserve access to private spaces when they visit their local gym or use the restroom.”
The bill also “threatens to halt the advances women’s sports have achieved” by allowing “those with physical advantages to compete against women and obtain scholarships and other awards at the expense of women,” they said. In a separate statement, five chairmen of the U.S. Bishops’ Conference condemned the Equality Act, saying it would “impose sweeping new norms that negatively impact the unborn, health care, charitable services, schools, personal privacy, athletics, free speech, religious liberties, and parental rights.”

On Friday, Catholic League President Bill Donohue joined the bishops in denouncing the attempt to impose gender ideology on the nation in the name of “equality.”
“THE EQUALITY ACT IS, WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE MOST RADICAL ASSAULT ON RELIGIOUS LIBERTY, THE RIGHT TO LIFE, AND PRIVACY RIGHTS EVER PACKAGED INTO ONE BILL,” DR. DONOHUE DECLARED.
What makes the Equality Act really treacherous is “its endorsement by a Catholic president,” Donohue noted, because, as the Bishops’ chairman has observed, “it creates confusion among the faithful about what the Church actually teaches on these questions.”
If You Believe Life Will “Return To Normal”, You Have A Fundamental Misunderstanding Of The Times In Which We Live
Despite all of the craziness that is going on out there, many pundits are trying to convince us that life will soon “return to normal” and that great days are just around the corner. They are telling us this despite the fact that the state of Texas has been in a state of collapse this week, the real economy continues to implode, the unemployment numbers are going up, civil unrest continues to rage in our streets on a nightly basis, and our entire planet continues to become even more unstable. Those that believe that happy days are here again have a fundamental misunderstanding of the times in which we live. This isn’t a period of time when America is going to “build back better”. Rather, this is a time when America is going to go even deeper into “the perfect storm”.
One of the reasons why so many on the left are feeling optimistic right now is because the COVID pandemic appears to be subsiding…
According to a CNN analysis of data from Johns Hopkins University, the US is seeing a 29% decline in new Covid-19 cases compared to this time last week, the steepest one-week decline the US has seen during the pandemic.
Improvements have been made; in a White House briefing Friday, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said the US continues to see a five-week decline, with the seven-day average of cases declining 69% since peaking on January 11.
We are being told that if the numbers continue to plummet like this, soon there won’t be a need for masks, social distancing and other restrictive measures any longer.
If all of this holds true, it would mean that many aspects of pre-pandemic life will return even before summer is upon us. Because case numbers guide local policies, much of the country could soon have reason to lift many or even most restrictions on distancing, gathering, and masking. Pre-pandemic norms could return to schools, churches, and restaurants. Sports, theater, and cultural events could resume. People could travel and dance indoors and hug grandparents, their own or others’. In most of the U.S., the summer could feel … “normal.”
But is this pandemic really over, or is it just transitioning into a new chapter?
According to the Daily Mail, the number of confirmed cases of “Super COVID” in the United States is now doubling every 10 days…
There are now more than 1,600 cases of the UK’s B117 ‘super covid’ variant in the US, according to a DailyMail.com analysis. Cases are doubling approximately every 10 days, according to a recent Scripps Research Institute study.
‘Super covid’ cases have exploded in two states that took opposite approaches to the pandemic: California, which has been under some of the nation’s strictest lockdowns, and Florida which has never had a mask mandate.
Cases of the 70 percent more infectious variant have exploded to 433 in Florida, in less than one month since the first case was discovered there.
Of course many experts are far more concerned about the new COVID variants that have emerged in Brazil and South Africa. Both of those variants have now made it to the U.S., and we already know that the current vaccines don’t work very well against the South African variant.
Meanwhile, the U.S. economy continues to crumble right in front of our eyes.
Last week’s initial jobless claims soared to 861,000, despite more states and cities lifting restrictive business measures amid a decline in the number of coronavirus cases. Economists had predicted around 773,000 first-time claims for the week ended Feb. 13. Data for the previous week was revised up to 848,000 from 793,000.
Unemployment claims have been at catastrophic levels for nearly a year, and now they are starting to surge higher once again.
A new report from the NYC Hospitality Alliance shows the extreme financial problems restaurants in New York City are facing, as 92% of the city’s restaurants could not afford to pay their rent in December.
The number has steadily worsened throughout the pandemic, from 80% of restaurants in June 2020 not being able to pay rent.
That isn’t what a “recession” looks like.
The truth is that we are in an economic depression, and there is no end in sight.
At the same time, communities all over the U.S. continue to be plagued by civil unrest and crime.
In cities such as Seattle, violent protests and riots have essentially become a nightly occurrence at this point. But most of the violence that we are witnessing is old-fashioned crime. One study found that murder rates in major U.S. cities were up by an average of 30 percent last year, and the chaos has continued into 2021. If you want to see an example of the lawlessness that is prevailing in our urban areas right now, just watch this video.
On top of everything else, our entire planet continues to behave in very unusual ways.
For instance, on Friday morning there was a magnitude 4.2 earthquake in Oklahoma…
The 4.3-mile deep quake hit near Manchester, Oklahoma, at 7:56 a.m. CST, according to the USGS. Manchester is in northern Oklahoma near the state’s border with Kansas.
It is not normal to see earthquakes of that size in the middle of the country, but of course we are moving into times when all of the old rules will no longer apply.
Earlier this month, I wrote an article about how volcanoes all along the Ring of Fire have been “starting to pop off like firecrackers”. I believe that we have entered a time when we will see natural disasters become increasingly frequent and increasingly powerful, and despite all of our advanced technology we are exceedingly vulnerable.
Just look at what just took place in Texas. A single wave of cold weather plunged the state into a nightmare scenario.
If cold weather can cause this much chaos in Texas, what would a much more severe long-term emergency mean for our entire nation?
The events of the past week should be a wake up call for all of us, because the road ahead is certainly not going to get any easier.
There has always been a problem in the Catholic Church with bad priests or people who have a serious interest in very bad sins. This is to be expected- if the Church is a hospital for all sinners, founded by Christ Himself to touch every race of man, and the whole world is to be gathered into her, then it is only inevitable to conclude that she would see all problems that the human race has, no matter how awful it might be, and if she did not see such a horrible problem, that such a problem would not exist because of the expanse, nature, and mission of the Church. The fact that many other sects will proclaim they do not have “so-and-so” a problem is proof that sect is not directly founded by Christ, since it means it does not reach to the whole world.
This is also not to say that sin is good. Rather, it is to say that they lack the completion of expanse to the human race, and to that, also the ability to conclusively provide an antidote to problems. Remember that seventeen centuries ago, it was normal- as in three-quarters of the Church -denied Jesus’ divinity. However, this never changed dogma or doctrine- as it cannot -and eventually, the truth prevailed. A parallel can be drawn between this situation and the proliferation of sodomy, where while most Christians and arguably people in the Church (especially in the western world) support that sin which cries out to Heaven for vengeance and wrath, the dogma and doctrine, no matter what any pope, cardinal, bishop, priest, or group says, can change the Church’s condemnation of this sin or the antidote to it as evidenced throughout doctrine, time, and history. And just like with the Arian monstrosity, eventually the current situation will pass and be defeated. This was not promised to other churches, and indeed, they may initially seem stronger, but always cave.
For example, a recent AP report found that there is a lot of division, and possibly another coming split ahead, in the Southern Baptists over this issue.
Divisions over race, politics, gender and LGBTQ issues are roiling America’s largest Protestant denomination, the Southern Baptist Convention, ahead of a meeting of its executive committee next week.
On the agenda are two items reflecting those divisions: A recommendation that a church in Kennesaw, Georgia, be ousted from the SBC because it accepted LGBTQ people into its congregation, contravening Southern Baptist doctrine; and a report by an executive committee task force criticizing the widely respected leader of the SBC’s public policy arm, the Rev. Russell Moore. Among the grievances against Moore: His outspoken criticism of Donald Trump during Trump’s 2016 election campaign and his presidency.
Towne View began welcoming LGBTQ worshippers in October 2019 after a same-sex couple with three adopted children asked Conrad if they could attend, a decision he defends as the right thing to do.
“The alternative would have been to say, ‘We’re probably not ready for this,’ but I couldn’t do that,” said Conrad, pastor there since 1994.
Conrad has the option of appealing an expulsion, but he’s making plans to affiliate at least temporarily with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, which allows its churches to set their own policies regarding LGBTQ inclusion.
Conrad says about 30% of his congregation — which now numbers about 125 — left his church over the issue, forcing some budget cutbacks, including a pay cut for Conrad.
“But we have had overwhelmingly positive feedback from the community,” he said. “Letters, emails, Facebook messages, phone calls — people telling their own story of rejection by their church and how grateful they’d be to find a place where they’re welcome.”
The most recent disfellowship of an SBC church occurred a year ago when the executive committee ousted Ranchland Heights Baptist Church of Midland, Texas, because it employed a registered sex offender as pastor.
In 2019 the SBC leadership pledged strong action on sex abuse after news reports that hundreds of clergy and staff had been accused of misconduct over the previous 20 years. But critics remain dissatisfied. (source)
It will be important to watch, as it has already been growing for a while, a trend of American Christianity fracturing on the LGBT issue, because most support it, and at this point, being a ‘good American’ in many ways means supporting this sin, which is in direct opposition to not merely “traditional morality”, but morality in the objective sense, as moral truth are not bound to time or place, but are absolute principles that do not chance since they come from God, and He does not change.
This is a major reason why Christianity will continue to decline. Because as long as truth is linked to national sentiment or personal interpretation outside of objective morality, it will eventually fall to cultural norms. Likewise, it is also a reason why those who continue to reject these evil eventually will likely find themselves persecuted by the greater society.

The Ring of Fire (also known as the Pacific Ring of Fire, the Rim of Fire, the Girdle of Fire or the Circum-Pacific belt) is a region around much of the rim of the Pacific Ocean where many volcanic eruptions and earthquakes occur. The Ring of Fire is a horseshoe-shaped belt about 40,000 km (25,000 mi) long and up to about 500 km (310 mi) wide.
The Ring of Fire includes the Pacific coasts of South America, North America and Kamchatka, and some islands in the western Pacific Ocean. Although there is consensus among geologists about almost all areas which are included in the Ring of Fire, they disagree about the inclusion or exclusion of a few areas, for example, the Antarctic Peninsula and western Indonesia.
Basically, if you think of a giant band surrounding the exterior of the Pacific Ocean, you will have a good idea of what we are talking about.
Every year, the “Ring of Fire” accounts for the vast majority of the seismic activity that happens on our planet.
The good news is that most of the major events occur in areas that are not heavily populated, and so usually the damage that is caused is minimal.
But the bad news is that the west coast of the United States and the entire nation of Japan both sit directly along the “Ring of Fire”, and scientists assure us that it is just a matter of time before both areas are hit by horrific catastrophes.
In Japan, officials are watching Mt. Fuji very carefully. It hasn’t erupted in more than 300 years, but experts are warning that the next eruption could occur at literally any time…
“Mount Fuji is on standby for the next eruption,” said Hiroki Kamata, a professor of volcanology at Kyoto University.
More than 300 years, he pointed out, have elapsed since the last eruption in 1707, an eerily long silence that surpasses the previous interval of around 200 years.
Mt. Fuji is not very far from Tokyo, and scientists agree that a major eruption of the volcano could be absolutely catastrophic for the city…
The Japanese government warned in 2020 a major eruption of Mount Fuji would eject so much matter over nearby capital Tokyo, the city infrastructure would collapse.
Visibility would immediately vanish and inches of toxic ash would swiftly clog the filters at power plants.
Although Mount Fuji last erupted more than 300 years ago, the volcano remains active and enters cyclical periods of activity.
Here in the United States, authorities are warning us that a “lava dome” has been forming at Mt. St. Helens…
Viscous magma is known to be bottled-up inside pressure-cooker of Mount St Helens, which is now thought to be ominously surfacing to form a lava dome.
William Rose, a professor of geology at Michigan Technological University recently said in a statement: “The gas emission rate of St Helens is very high and suggests that significant amounts of magma are the surface.”
However, Donald Peterson, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) scientist in charge of the Mount St Helens project, has warned how experts are really unsure what to expect.
It is definitely true that Mt. St. Helens could erupt again at any time, but personally I am much more concerned about Mt. Rainier.
It is known as “the most dangerous volcano” in the United States for good reason, and the seismic activity that has been happening at the volcano in recent months has gotten quite a bit of attention…
After a spurt of seismic activity this weekend, Mount Rainier National Park was shaken by a 3.6 magnitude earthquake Sunday afternoon.
The quake hit at 12:31 p.m. and was felt as far as Kent, nearly 80 miles away, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The relatively shallow quake was centered roughly a mile beneath the earth’s surface.
Years ago, I visited the Space Needle in Seattle, and I could clearly see Mt. Rainier from there. Most people living in the region don’t realize that Mt. Rainier is capable of producing gigantic tsunamis of super-heated mud known as “lahars”, and those “lahars” can be extremely deadly. In fact, scientists tell us that they can move at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.
Needless to say, that is much faster than you can run.
The following is how one author described the danger that the region is potentially facing…
The numerous towns and cities that occupy the surrounding valley would all be at risk for not only severe destruction, but complete annihilation. Residents of cities like Orting, Sumner, Buckley, and Enumclaw are estimated to have no more than 30 minutes before the lahar, speeding down from the many rivers that flow from Mount Rainier, buries their homes and businesses beneath as much as 30 feet of mud and debris. Even the larger cities like Auburn, Puyallup, and Tacoma itself are not safe. Auburn and Puyallup, with nearly 80,000 residents between them, would be covered in 20 feet of mud in less than an hour, and Tacoma, at almost 200,000, is estimated to be hit with nearly 10 feet from the lahar.
Can you imagine the entire city of Tacoma, Washington under 10 feet of super-heated mud?
One of the reasons why I have written about this so much over the years is because someday Mt. Rainier will erupt again.
In fact, I wouldn’t want to be living anywhere near any of the volcanoes along the “Ring of Fire” right now.
We are starting to see so many of them pop off like firecrackers in the early stages of 2021, and that is definitely not a good sign.
Speaking in Taipei, Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen said U.S. ships and aircraft carrying out freedom of navigation operations was reassuring.

In the excerpt below from Dr. Thomas Horn’s bestselling book Zenith 2016(FREE PLUS TWO MORE BOOKS IN COLLECTION HERE!), insights into the importance of this ancient city in the Bible as well as the role it played in “inspiring” Barak Obama in the leadup to his “presidency” is illuminating:
When Obama ended his speech in front of the war goddess, he said, “With an eye toward the future, with resolve in our hearts, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again.” This is exactly what Hitler had promised to do and exactly where he had planned to memorialize it.
Of greater significance and not far from where Obama delivered his rousing speech is the Great Altar of Zeus in the Pergamon Museum. According to several reports, Obama visited the Great Altar while in Berlin, which is especially important, given what he did on returning to the United States. Before we examine Obama’s revealing actions, consider carefully what the Bible says about the Altar of Zeus in the letter to the church in Pergamos (Pergamum, Pergamon):
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and has not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. (Revelation 2:12–13).
In the Greek, the phrase, “where Satan’s seat is,” literally means, “where a throne to Satan is.” Scholars identify this throne or “seat” as the Great Altar of Zeus that existed in Pergamos at that time. So important was the worship of Zeus in ancient Pergamos that perpetual sacrifices were offered to him upon the towering and famous forty-foot-high altar. Antipas, the first leader and martyr of the early Christian church, is believed to have been slain on this altar, slowly roasting to death inside the statue of a bull, the symbol and companion of Zeus. The phrase in Revelation 2:13, “wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth,” is considered a citation of this event.
Approximately two thousand years after Revelation 2:13 was written, German archeologists removed the massive altar of Zeus from the ruins of Pergamos and took it to Berlin, where it was restored as the centerpiece of the Pergamon Museum. It is here that Hitler first adored it, later building an outdoor replica of it from which he gave a series of speeches that mesmerized many Germans.
“Fast forward about another seventy-five years,” says blogger El Gallo. “Another charismatic young politician mesmerizes huge German crowds with a rousing speech in Berlin. Barack Hussein Obama…[and] did Barack Obama visit…the Great Altar of Zeus…? Presumably he did.”[i]
Whether Obama received inspiration from the throne of Satan while in Berlin or not, what he did next was astonishing. Upon returning to the United States, he immediately commissioned the construction of a Greek-columned stage from which he made his acceptance speech for his party’s nomination. Because Greek temples such as those built to honor Zeus were thought to house the patron deity, the GOP ridiculed Obama, mocking him as playing Zeus of “Mount Olympus” and accusing his supporters of “kneeling” before the “Temple of Obama.” TheNew York Post ran an enlightening “Convention Special” supplement on August 28, 2008, with the telling headline: “‘O’ My God: Dems Erect Obama Temple” blazoned across the front cover. But it was not until blogger Joel Richardson pointed out how the design of Obama’s stage was a dead ringer for the Great Altar of Zeus[ii] that Obama’s campaign managers tried to explain away the design as being a conglomeration representing the portico of the White House with the U.S. capitol building. “But experts agreed with Richardson,” Gallo wrote. “It was a replica of the Great Altar of Pergamum.”[iii]
Thus incredibly, like Hitler, Obama honored the goddess Victoria with his presence before ordering a replica of the biblical throne of Satan, upon which he accepted his date with destiny.
Following this, Barack Hussein Obama on June 4, 2009 gave an unprecedented speech to the Muslim world from Cairo, Egypt, declaring that he was launching a new era between the United States and the Muslim world. For the first time, Obama was forthright about his Muslim heritage and stated that the United States—which he is on record as saying is “no longer a Christian nation”—is now “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” Newsweek editor Evan Thomas followed the president’s speech with a declaration, reflected in the opinion of many, that “Obama is standing above the country, above the world, he is a sort of God.”[iv]
Now imagine—if such sentiments as illustrated above were afforded to a man like Obama—what would America and people around the world be willing to accept if a truly amazing, even ‘other-worldly’ man stepped forward in  with seemingly all of the answers to mankind’s woes?
At first glance, the photo of the rainbow over the Temple Mount is aesthetically pleasing, but a quick look at the story behind the photo brings out the deeper beauty.
Yonadav Horowitz took the photo from the balcony of his house in Kidmat Tzion, about four kilometers from the Temple Mount, on the holiday of Tu B’Shvat last week. That particular image from that particular perspective on that particular day was shared by very few people since only ten families live in Kidmat Tzion. And it is a modern-day miracle that those families live there.
The land for Kidmat Tzion was purchased about a century ago by Jewish residents of Jerusalem who wanted a more pastoral and less urban existence, nearby but outside the walls of the Old City. About 150 acres was purchased but the illegal Jordanian occupation of the area in 1948 prevented the Jews from settling on their land. During the Jordanian occupation, massive Arab construction resulted in the creation of the neighborhood of Abu Dis on what used to be empty land. Israel annexed all of Jerusalem but only about 15 acres of the land purchased by the Jews fell within this area, the rest now being considered Judea. Ateret Kohanim, an NGO workign to strengthen the Jewish nature of all of Jerusalem, worked to reestablish the existing Jewish claim to the land and ten families now live in Kidmat Tzion.
“Seeing the rainbow, a sign of God’s covenant with all of mankind, reminded me that God does, of course, keep all of his promises,” Horowitz told Israel365 News. “That is especially true when it comes to his promises to the Jewish people, and even more so when it pertains to Jerusalem.”
Horowitz loves that he lives within walking distance of Judaism’s holiest site, though the hostile nature of Abu Dis prevents this. But the view is inspiring in a Biblical context. The view of Jerusalem nestled between two high points reminded Horowitz the verse from Deuteronomy that describes God’s special love for the domain of the tribe of Benjamin:
Of Binyamin he said: Beloved of Hashem, He rests securely beside Him; Ever does He protect him, As he rests between His shoulders. Deuteronomy 33:12
