The editor of a Turkish publication that serves as a mouthpiece for the repressive regime contends thes West’s systems financial, political and social structures are collapsing and Turkey has become one of the world’s “new superpowers.”
The West, he wrote, “has already lost its ‘central’ power.”
“The West’s financial system is collapsing,” he said. “Its political system and discourse are collapsing. Its security theories are collapsing. Its social theories are collapsing. Humanity no longer has any expectation of them.”
In it’s place, he said, Turkey “is one of the world’s new superpowers.”
“If there are going to be any countries to rise post-corona – and there will be – Turkey is going to be one of them,” wrote Karagul.
Turkey has reported more than 13,500 cases and more than 200 deaths.
Karagul’s comments came in a column titled “Time Has Stopped, History Is Being Reset… West’s Political System, Financial System, Security Theories Have All Collapsed. New Political Orders Will Be Established. New Superpowers Will Emerge. Nations Controlling The World May Collapse. East May Become West, West May Become East. New Nations May Take To The Stage. We’re Starting Everything From Scratch.”
He also contended Turkey “is conducting more successful coordination, a more effective fight than most of the world’s central powers.”
“The state, central power, leadership, institutions, public formations, and citizens are handling matters in great harmony. If there are going to be any countries to rise post-corona – and there will be – Turkey is going to be one of them.”
He continued: “New political orders will be established. New economic models will be developed. New lines of businesses, new consumption habits will begin. New political movements, new live models will develop. New superpowers will emerge. New discourses and models will develop with respect to the management of resources, markets and masses.
“The West may become the East and the East may become the West. The North may transform into the South and the South into the North. The nations controlling the world may collapse while new ones may take to the stage. The perceptions of state and homeland may change. Political language and forms of political organization may change.”
“Eliyahu approached all the people and said, “How long will you keep hopping
between two opinions? If Hashem is Hashem, follow Him; and if Baal, follow
him!” But the people answered him not a word.” I Kings
18:21 (The Israel Bible™)
A small event with huge spiritual implications took place last week: two men
performed the muezzn (the Muslim call to prayer) inside the Hagia Sophia in
Istanbul for the first time since the Ottoman Empire ruled.
The pro-government newspaper Yeni Akit reported on March 2 that the
Adhan (Islamic call to prayer) and the Koranic verses Surat Al-Fath and Surat An Nasr were recited
by two imams at the “Grand Hagia Sophia Mosque”.
“For the first time in history, acoustic test recordings of adhan and the
Koran, which were recited with naked voice, were made in Hagia Sophia,” the
paper said, making the inaccurate claim that the “Hagia Sophia Mosque was
unlawfully converted into a museum when it was a mosque.”
“Will the longing for [Ottoman sultan] Fatih’s trust, Hagia Sophia, finally
end?” the article asked.
The current structure was completed in 537 CE at the orders of the Byzantine
emperor Justinian I in what was then called Constantinople, the capital of the
Roman Empire. It was built to replace a church built by Constantine the Great
that burned down. Hagia Sophia remained the world’s largest church for 1,000
years until Constantinople fell to the Ottomans in 1453, marking the fall of
the Roman Empire and the entrance of Islam into Europe.
The church was looted before being converted into a mosque and minarets were
added. Constantinople became the capital of the conquering Ottoman Empire. With
the establishment of the Turkish Republic, in 1923 the capital of Turkey was
moved to Ankara and the original Roman Empire name Constantinople was
officially changed to the Turkish name Istanbul
As part of his reforms to modernize and moderate the Islamist extremism in
the country, the first Turkish President and founder of the Republic of Turkey,
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, transformed the building into a museum in 1935. Use of
the complex as a place of worship, mosque or church, was strictly prohibited.
This changed under the rule of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ,
formerly the mayor of Istanbul. In 2006, Erdogan’s government allowed the
allocation of a small room in the museum complex to be used as a prayer room
for Christian and Muslim museum staff. In 2013, the muezzin was once
again heard from the minarets of Hagia Sophia and in 2016, Muslim prayers were
held again for the first time in 85 years.
There is a strong movement in Turkey to convert the museum into a mosque and
last year, Erdogan announced his support for this initiative.
Dr. Kedar, a senior lecturer in the Department of Arabic at Bar-Ilan
University, noted that Christians account for .2 % of the Turkish population
and it is euphemistic at best to claim the prayer space is for both Christians
“It is a huge mosque and even if it is not entirely being used that way
today, that is the way the Turkish people see it. It was originally turned into
a mosque to symbolize Islam’s victory of the Holy Roman Empire, that is to say
Christianity, and that is the way Islamic prayer in Hagia Sophia is seen
Dr. Kedar noted that it is an accepted and common practice in Islam to
convert the holy sites of other religions into Muslim sites. He noted that
Anjem Choudry, a Pakistani Imam in London, openly calls for the conversion of
Westminster Abbey, one of the most prominent churches in England, into a
“Hagia Sophia was a huge victory for Islam. Just as Islam did to Hagia
Sophia, that is what they intend to do to every church in the world,” Dr. Kedar
said. “For the Muslims, that is the ultimate victory. Islam does not want to
simply conquer or destroy the other religions. Their method, their goal, is to
convert everything to the service of Allah. his is the main mission of Islam;
to convert the entire world to Islam and the service of Allah, the people as
well as the places.”
“It is for them like raping their enemy’s daughter in front of their eyes.
It is not enough to desecrate or to use the church. They want to convert it to
the service of Islam. Everywhere Islam takes a place, they turn the churches
Erdogan’s intentions may go much further than an interest in adding yet
another mosque, albeit a significant and spectacular structure, to the Turkish
Erdogan’s Islamic aspirations may be to place himself at the head of the
multinational armies of Gog and Magog. Modern-day Turkey was once the
Ottoman Empire that ruled over much of the world for over six hundred years.
But in Biblical terms, Turkey is known as the location of Mount Ararat, the
resting place of Noah’s ark. That region was settled by the descendants of
Gomer, the eldest son of Japheth. His descendants formed the nations of
Meshech, Tubal, Beth-togarmah, and Gomer, all found in what is now modern
Turkey. All of these nations were listed by Ezekiel as being part of the Gog
and Magog alliance against Israel.
O mortal, turn your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince
of Meshech and Tubal. Prophesy against him… Among them shall be Persia, Nubia,
and Put, everyone with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its cohorts,
Beth-togarmah [in] the remotest parts of the north and all its cohorts—the many
peoples with you. Ezekiel
As Dr. Kedar pointed out, usurping the holy sites of other religions is a
praiseworthy act in Islam but it takes on more ominous meaning in Turkey when
aimed at Christianity. Christians have lived in the region that is modern-day
Turkey since the first century when Christianity emerged with Constaninople as
one of the major centers of Christianity. But between 1894 and 1924, three
waves of violence swept across western Asia, targeting the region’s Christian
minorities. Before the violence, Christians accounted for nearly 25% percent of
the population. By 1924, the Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks had been reduced
to 2 percent. The total number of victims over the three decades may be more
than 1 million. Today, Christians account for less than .5% of the
This persecution did not stop with the fall of the Ottoman Empire. In 1942,
the Turkish state taxed the non-Muslim minorities with high rates. It deported
those who were not able to pay taxes to forced labor
camps in eastern Turkey.

relations with Israel will occur only when a peace agreement is signed and is
in accordance with Palestinian conditions,” Saudi Arabia’s new
foreign minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud noted on Saturday at the Munich
Security Conference in response to a question from Maariv
relations. The Jerusalem Post‘s sister
publication also asked whether improvements to the relationship would include a
non-aggression pact as well as open and formal relations with the Arab Gulf
Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif complained at the conference that any
violent action in the Middle East is now being blamed on Iran. He provided the
example of how US President Donald Trump’s peace plan has lead to an increase
in tensions and alleged violence against Israel and in the region, which he
notes will be likely blamed on Tehran.
also asked Zarif if
Iran itself would engage in violent actions against Israel, to which he
replies, “not in this case, but of course we will be blamed.”
Minister Israel Katz was about to attend the Munich conference and reportedly
had planned to meet with Arab ministers, but his trip was canceled.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also spoke to Maariv, referring
first to Trump’s “Deal of the Century” as a test for seeing whether
it will return the two sides to negotiations, but Trudeau added that “in
the meantime, that doesn’t seem so.”
asked whether Canada would be willing to join a multilateral initiative on the
issue, Trudeau said that he would support any initiative that would promote a
two-state solution and resume talks between the two sides.

the Ukrainian passenger plane downing is fully and independently investigated,
and we can provide the families with answers.”

available to the participants at the entrance to each hall, but masks were not
Foreign Minister Wang Yi promised that “the epidemic will soon pass.”
In contrast, World Health Organization Chief Todros Adenhum Gabris gave
alarming figures on its continued spread.
Netanyahu remarked on the historic change of the Trump administration recognizing Israel’s right to Jerusalem and the West Bank – as opposed to the world, including previous administrations, which did not. “I’m happy that American policy changed under Trump’s courageous leadership, starting with
the Iran Deal, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,
moving the US embassy, recognizing our sovereignty in the Golan and recognizing
the legality of settlements in Judea and Samaria,” he stated. Netanyahu also
said that he withstood American pressure to make concessions that would have
has begun preparing a precise map of the parts of the West Bank, Judaea and

Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Saturday.
For bible prophecy watchers, we are living in truly
exciting and unprecedented times as we begin to see the fulfillment of
long-awaited scriptures from the prophets. Israel is the time clock of bible
prophecy, with Jerusalem the epicenter, and from the moment that God placed
Donald Trump into office things having been absolutely sprinting along.
Today we learn that Israel is preparing to reclaim Judaea, the very land that
Jesus said that the Jews would be living in during the time of Jacob’s trouble.
Yes, we are that close.
“But when ye shall see the abomination of
desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let
him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee
to the mountains: And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the
house, neither enter therein, to take any thing out of his house:
And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his
garment. But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in
those days!” Matthew
Prophecy clearly tells us that Israel will be back in Judaea
during the time
of Jacob’s trouble, as we see outlined in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. So if
Israel is about to reclaim Judaea, we understand that the Jews and Israel are
unknowingly preparing themselves for the coming Great Tribulation. Remember,
1948 did not restore the Jews to Israel, because if that were true
then there would be no coming time of Tribulation for them. But that time is
indeed coming, quickly, showing us that Israel was actually regathered to be
scattered, not regathered to be restored. Their restoration can only
come when King Jesus and His Bride arrive on white horses at
the Second Coming.
“And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with
armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them
which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in
the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter
thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are
written may be fulfilled.” Luke
Keep that in mind when you read about all the things God is
using President Trump to
accomplish for Israel, He is really using him to set the stage for the
arrival of Antichrist and the time of Jacob’s trouble. God is giving Judaea
back to the Jews so the prophecy of them fleeing from there can be fulfilled!
That’s what’s happening, Israel and the Jews are being groomed to be plunged
into turmoil and chaos at the hand of God, according to the prophets and the
“Alas! for that day is great, so
that none is like it: it is even the
time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.” Jeremiah 30:7 (KJB)
Pray for Israel and the Jewish people, and their coming
time of trouble that will try the whole world. We get out of here in the
Rapture, but the vast majority of them will not.
Israel begins mapping out West Bank land for
annexation after election
FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: “We are in the middle of the
process of mapping out the territory that will be part of Israel according to
the Trump plan,” Netanyahu said at a Likud event in Ma’aleh Adumim. “It won’t
take much time… Within a few weeks, it will happen.”
Ronen Peretz, director-general of the Prime Minister’s Office, will head the
Israeli side of the committee, a source in the office said. An American
diplomatic source said: “We are in close conversations with the Netanyahu
Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump presented his
peace plan, by which the US will approve of Israel annexing some 30% of the
West Bank, including all settlements and the Jordan Valley, as well as not
expanding construction beyond that area, while being ready to recognize a
Palestinian state in the rest of the West Bank.
THE COMING EVENT OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION AS
FOUND IN THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE EXPLAINED
That state would be demilitarized, could no longer pay
terrorists a monthly salary and would have to be democratic and provide its
citizens with basic civil rights, according to the Trump plan. Immediately
after the plan’s presentation, Netanyahu said he would annex Israeli
settlements in the West Bank within a matter of days and the rest of the 30% at
a later time. His plan soon changed to a one-step annexation after the March 2
election, in light of comments by special adviser to the US president Jared
Kushner that the map included in the Trump plan was a “conceptual” one and that
the specific border would have to be delineated by a joint US-Israel committee.
Netanyahu said of the delay: “It’s 800 square kilometers.
It’s a lot of land… We’ve been waiting since 1967, and people are making a big
deal over a few weeks. It will happen.”
He added that, “Trump will do it: I trust him completely.”
The prime minister’s speech was replete with digs at Blue
and White leader Benny Gantz, including that he won’t be able to annex the
territory. The upcoming election is a referendum of sovereignty, Netanyahu
said. The prime minister explained that the peace plan reverses the usual
demands, by which “Israel had to agree to concessions like freeing prisoners
and freezing construction in communities [in the West Bank], and the
Palestinians didn’t have to do anything. Now, it’s the opposite.
“Just to enter negotiations, they have to stop paying terrorists and
withdraw their suit in the International Criminal Court,” he stated. “And to
complete it, they have to recognize Israel as a Jewish state, give up on the
right of return, recognize Israel’s security rights to the west of the Jordan
River, demilitarize Gaza, recognize Jerusalem as capital of Israel [and] have a
began his remarks by discussing Israel’s historic connection to the West Bank
and its victory in the Six Day War.
“Our great victory brought back parts of the homeland to our hands. We
canceled the narrow and dangerous borders that [Israeli diplomat] Abba Eban
called ‘Auschwitz borders.’ They moved from the suburbs of Tel Aviv to the
protective wall of Judea and Samaria… We returned to the lands of our
forefathers,” he said.
“Without our homeland, we don’t have a future. This is our identity; this is
our heritage and here is our future,” Netanyahu stated. “Therefore, our enemies
are trying to uproot us and take us out of the heart of our homeland… They will
not succeed. We are here to stay – forever.”
Netanyahu remarked on the historic change of the Trump
administration recognizing Israel’s right to Jerusalem and the West Bank – as
opposed to the world, including previous administrations, which did not.
“I’m happy that American policy changed under Trump’s
courageous leadership, starting with canceling the Iran Deal,
recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, moving the US embassy,
recognizing our sovereignty in the Golan and recognizing the legality of
settlements in Judea and Samaria,” he stated.
Netanyahu also said that he withstood American pressure to
make concessions that would have endangered Israel.
“I stood up to two US presidents who wanted us to withdraw and concede… I
will maintain our place under the sun and I will not give up our homeland,” he
said. “By myself, with my intellect and my heart, I blocked and I stood up to
pressures that no prime minister stood up to,” Netanyahu stated. “Thanks to the
great support I got from the people of Israel, we blocked the danger.” Gantz
responded to Netanyahu’s speech, saying that “no one remains on the Right who
believes your delusions about toppling Hamas and annexing territory.”
WASHINGTON – Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and the UAE on
Tuesday issued statements welcoming the Trump administration’s peace plan.
“The Kingdom reiterates its support for all efforts
aimed at reaching a just and comprehensive resolution to the Palestinian
cause,” said the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The kingdom appreciates the efforts of President
Trump’s administration to develop a comprehensive peace plan between the
Palestinian and the Israeli sides, and encourages the start of direct peace
negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, under the auspices of
the United States,” the statement reads. It also called to resolve any
disagreements with aspects of the plan through negotiations, “to move
forward the peace process to reach an agreement that achieves legitimate rights
of the Palestinian people.”
Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman told
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas that “our position towards
the Palestinian issue has not changed, all the Arabs and we are with you. The
establishment of a just and comprehensive peace must be worked for. Peace is a
strategic choice, which will bring a permanent solution that will fulfill the
rights of the Palestinian people,” according to Channel 13.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a similar
statement, calling the sides to consider the plan to resolve the
“The Arab Republic of Egypt appreciates the continuous
efforts exerted by the US administration to achieve a comprehensive and just
settlement of the Palestinian issue, thereby contributing to the stability and
security of the Middle East, ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict,” the
ministry said Tuesday.
“Egypt recognizes the importance of considering the US
administration’s initiative from the perspective of the importance of achieving
the resolution of the Palestinian issue, thus restoring to the Palestinian
people their full legitimate rights through the establishment of a sovereign
independent state in the Palestinian occupied territories in accordance with
international legitimacy and resolutions,” the statement reads.
It went on to call the two sides “to undertake a
careful and thorough consideration of the US vision to achieve peace and open
channels of dialogue, under US auspices; for the resumption of negotiations to
present their respective views on reaching an agreement that satisfies the
aspirations of both peoples, to achieve a comprehensive and just peace and the
establishment of an independent Palestinian state.”
THE QATARI News Agency released a statement, saying that “the State
welcomes all efforts aiming towards a longstanding and just peace in the
occupied Palestinian territories.”
“It also appreciates the endeavors of President Trump
and the current US administration to find solutions for the Palestinian-Israeli
conflict. All solutions should be consistent with international law and the
relevant UN resolutions,” the statement continues.
Qatar also called on the sides to hold direct negotiations.
However, unlike Saudi Arabia and Egypt, the Qatari statement also calls for a
Palestinian state “within the 1967 borders, including East Jerusalem,”
as well as the right of return.
Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Yousef Al Otaiba,
said that his country appreciates continued US efforts to reach a
Palestine-Israel peace agreement. “This plan is a serious initiative that
addresses many issues raised over the years,” he wrote.
“The plan announced today offers an important starting
point for a return to negotiations within a US-led international
framework,” he added. Otaiba was among the three Arab ambassadors who
attended the ceremony at the White House earlier on Tuesday. Ambassadors of
Oman and Bahrain attended the event as well, signaling warming ties with Israel
and support for the administration’s vision.
Jordan and Turkey, on the other hand, were critical of the
plan. Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said in a statement following the
announcement of the US peace vision that an “independent Palestinian state
on June 4, 1967, lines with East Jerusalem as its capital – living in peace
side by side with Israel on the basis of the two-state solution that fulfills
the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, in accordance with
international law – is the only path to a comprehensive and lasting
Safadi warned against “the dangerous consequences of
unilateral Israeli measures, such as the annexation of Palestinian lands; the
building and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian occupied
lands; and encroachments on the Holy Sites in Jerusalem, that aim at imposing
new realities on the ground.” He stressed that Jordan condemns such
measures, “as a violation of international law and provocative actions
that will push the area toward more conflict and tension.”
Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement
saying that, “the so-called US peace plan is stillborn. This is an
annexation plan aiming to destroy the two-state solution and seize the
Palestinian territories. The people and the land of Palestine cannot be bought
“Jerusalem is our redline,” the statement reads.
“We will not allow any step seeking to legitimize Israel’s occupation and
atrocities. We will always stand by the brotherly Palestinian people and will
continue to work for an independent Palestine on Palestinian land.
“We will not support any plan that does not have the
support of Palestine,” the ministry added. “There will not be any
peace in the Middle East without ending Israel’s occupation policies.”
ANKARA (Reuters) – Turkey will increase its military support to the
internationally recognized government of Libya if necessary and will evaluate
ground, air and marine options, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday, after
the two signed a military cooperation accord last month.
Turkey backs Fayez al-Serraj’s Government of National Accord (GNA) in Libya,
which has been torn by factional conflict since 2011, and has already sent
military supplies to the GNA despite a United Nations arms embargo, according
to a report by U.N. experts seen by Reuters last month.
Turkey has also said it could deploy troops to Libya if the GNA makes such a
request. The GNA has been fighting a months-long offensive by Khalifa Haftar’s
forces based in the east of the country. Haftar’s forces have received support
from Russia, Egypt, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking in the northern province of Kocaeli, Erdogan said Turkey had
recently provided “very serious” support to the GNA, adding Libya was a country
Turkey would support “with its life”.
“They are supporting an illegal warlord, who is the pawn of certain nations,
instead of the U.N.-recognized government,” Erdogan said, in an apparent
reference to Haftar and the countries which support him.
“If necessary, we will increase the military aspect of our support to Libya,
and evaluate all our options, from the ground, air and sea,” he said.
Speaking before Erdogan, Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said Turkey will stand
by Libya’s government until peace, stability and security are established in
Last month, Turkey and the GNA signed an accord to boost military
cooperation and a separate deal on maritime boundaries, which has enraged
Greece. Ankara and Athens have been at odds over hydrocarbon resources off the
coast of the divided island of Cyprus.
While Greece has said the accord violates international law, Turkey has
rejected those accusations, saying it aims to protect its rights in the eastern
Mediterranean. On Sunday, Erdogan said Turkey will “absolutely” not turn back
from its agreements with Libya.
“Nobody should come to us with attempts to exclude us, trap us in our own
shores or steal our economic interests,” Erdogan said. “We have no intention of
starting conflicts with anyone for no reason, or robbing anyone of their
rights,” he said.
“Those who oppose us have no sense of rights, law, justice, ethics or
mercy,” Erdogan said, referring to Greece, Israel and Egypt, who have opposed
the maritime accord.
In an interview with Greek daily To Vima on Sunday, Foreign Minister Mevlut
Cavusoglu said the accord with Libya was in line with international law, adding
Ankara may consider granting exploration licenses in areas determined by Turkey
“It would be the exercise of our sovereign rights in our continental shelf
in the region,” Cavusoglu said. “The exercise of our sovereign rights also and
naturally includes our right to deploy research vessels in the area,” he was
cited as saying.
In a first reaction from the United States on the agreement, a senior State
Department official said the maritime accord was “unhelpful” and “provocative”.
Responding to those comments, Turkey’s Communications Director Fahrettin
Altun said on Sunday the United States refused to understand Turkey’s
legitimate security concerns.
“It is neither ‘provocative’ nor ‘unconstructive’ as some US officials are
claiming,” Altun said on Twitter. “Those who dare criticize Turkey should take
a look at years of provocative actions by Greece and other regional states. We
will never accept a fait accompli over our maritime borders!” he added.
A consignment of Egyptian T-72 tanks and APCs arrived in Libya on Thursday,
Dec. 19, to bolster Gen. Khalifa Haftar’s Libyan National Army (LNA), which had
just broken through to the southern outskirts of Tripoli. This consignment was
personally ordered by Egyptian President Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisi, DEBKAfile’s
military and intelligence sources reveal, along with instructions to a number
of Egyptian air force squadrons to stand ready to support Haftar’s push to take
the capital from the UN-recognized Government of National Accord.
El-Sisi took those steps in response to the Erdogan government’s reported
plan to send over a volunteer force from the Turkish Muslim Brotherhood (SADAT)
to help the GNA resist Haftar’s push into Tripoli. SADAT consists of former Al
Qaeda and ISIS jihadists recruited in Syria by the Turkish MIT intelligence
agency. Our sources add that a number of Hamas activists hosted by Turkey have
trained with these units.
It was in reference to this Turkish intervention in the Tripoli battle that
El-Sisi declared this week: “The Libyan government has been held hostage by
terrorist militias in the capital, Tripoli.”
This week, the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood convinced the Tripoli government to
formally apply to Ankara for military assistance to repel the Haftar advance.
Turkish military aid to the GNA thus far consists of 3,000 army “advisers”
and a steady supply of weapons systems, including anti-tank rockets and drones.
Haftar’s army is solidly backed by Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and
Russia. The Egyptians provide intelligence, weapons and ammo; the Russians have
deployed thousands of mercenaries, most from the Wagner Group contractors, some
transferred from Syria to Libya; and the UAE recently supplied the Haftar force
with a small squadron of six US-made Archangel ISR planes. These aircraft
usually provide police forces on the ground with surveillance and back-up
fire. The Haftar army has turned them into bombers.
If Turkey goes through with its plan to deploy Muslim Brotherhood volunteers to
Libya, The Egyptian air force will go into action for a showdown against
Jewish worshipers are able to pray on the Temple Mount with what appears to be the tacit consent of police forces at the site, The Jerusalem Post observed during a visit there on Thursday. Despite the insistence by Israel Police that there has been no change in the decades-old policy, Jews now pray – in full view of the police – in an unobtrusive and inconspicuous manner. A senior Wakf Department official said the final goal is to rebuild the Temple.

In a stunning exclusive today, the
Jerusalem Post is reporting that Jewish prayer has returned to the Temple
Mount, something that has been banned by the Supreme Court of Israel since 1970. The New York Times back in 1976 said “Government
regulations permit Jews to enter the Temple Mount but not to hold, prayer
services, owing to the sensitivity of the area and the strong feeling it might
arouse among Moslems.” Today that appears to have changed, and with that change
comes talk of a Third Temple.
“And it shall come to
pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy
fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons;
and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will
stablish his throne for ever.” 1 Chronicles 17:11,12
When I survey the end times prophetic landscape in the Middle East in
general and Israel in particular, it appears to me that all the necessary
elements are there for everything foretold in the scriptures of truth to take
place. The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is the absolute true north epicenter of
Bible prophecy. It’s like kernels of corn sitting in an oiled pan, just waiting
for the heat to start popping. Today things just got a little hotter, and it
almost sounds like things are starting to sizzle just a little. And hopefully
more than a little.
“And it shall come to pass
in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be
established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills;
and all nations shall flow unto it.”
FROM THE JERUSALEM POST: Jewish worshipers are able to pray on
the Temple Mount with what appears to be the tacit consent of police forces at
the site, The Jerusalem Post observed during a visit there on
Thursday. Despite the insistence by Israel Police that
there has been no change in the decades-old policy, Jews now pray – in full
view of the police – in an unobtrusive and inconspicuous manner.
A senior Wakf Department official said he was unaware of any change in
the status quo on the Temple Mount, but warned that any change would lead to
renewed protests and spark a strong response from Arabs and Muslims.
Led by Rabbi Eliyahu Weber and joyfully singing “Let us go up to the Temple,” a quorum
of 10 Jewish men ascended the Temple Mount on Thursday morning at the beginning
of non-Muslim visiting hours at 7:00
a.m. This reporter joined the group as it toured the compound.
The group began the typical counter-clockwise tour of the site accompanied
as usual by several police officers. It began at the Mughrabi Gate and worked
its way around the eastern side of the esplanade, stopping at various points
and eventually leaving out of the Chain Gate on its western side into the
Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City.
Upon reaching the eastern gate of the Dome of the Rock shrine, Weber and the
group of Jewish men, and two women, stopped for between five and 10 minutes to
recite the cantor’s repetition of the central Amidah prayer, including the
components for congregational participation.
A kohen, a member of the priestly
line, gave the blessing to the worshipers that is part of the daily morning
service. The prayers were recited in full view and the immediate proximity of
the police officers escorting the group around the Temple Mount, and they
afforded the worshipers the time they needed to complete their prayers.
The prayers were said in a deliberately unobtrusive manner without the
genuflection that is usually performed in the Amidah prayer, and with Weber
leaning against a stone step to avoid drawing attention. Weber said that he and
his fellow worshipers deliberately conduct their prayers in a manner that is
“not extroverted” or to “antagonize people,” and the police do not intervene
when they do it in this way. If we would do this in the face of the Wakf
officials, it would not be accepted, but that is not our goal.”
The service – a truncated version of the full morning prayer service –
was conducted in a very discreet manner, but the worshipers were nevertheless
clearly participating in a discernible Jewish prayer service.
They prepared a net for my feet to ensnare me; they dug a pit for me, but they fell into it. Selah. (Psalm 57:6)
Jordan, whose Waqf mercenaries act as custodians in the Temple Mount slammed the Trump administration’s decision to recognize Jewish Presence in Judea and Samaria as legal under international law.
Jordan’s foreign minister, Ayman Safadi, blasted the White House’s decision, claiming that settlements “kill the two-state solution”, the most widely accepted blueprint for Middle East peace. “Entrenching the occupation and its injustice, and violating the resolutions of international legitimacy will not achieve peace, and will not guarantee security and stability,” he said in a statement, according to state media. “Nothing changes the illegal reality of settlements that the international community is unanimous in condemning,” Safadi added.
Democratic 2020 Presidential candidate and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders accused Trump of “isolating” the US with his most recent statement. Sanders tweeted on Monday: “Israeli settlements in occupied territory are illegal. This is clear from international law and multiple United Nations resolutions. Once again, Mr. Trump is isolating the United States and undermining diplomacy by pandering to his extremist base.”
Meanwhile, the European Union didn’t take too kindly to Pompeo’s historic statement either. The EU’s vice-president Federica Mogherini contradicted Pompeo’s conclusion stating:
“The European Union’s position on Israeli settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territory is clear and remains unchanged: all settlement activity is illegal under international law and it erodes the viability of the two-state solution and the prospects for a lasting peace, as reaffirmed by UN Security Council Resolution 2334. The EU calls on Israel to end all settlement activity, in line with its obligations as an occupying power. The EU will continue to support a resumption of a meaningful process towards a negotiated two-state solution, the only realistic and viable way to fulfil the legitimate aspirations of both parties.
On Tuesday, terrorists in the Gaza Strip fired hundreds of rockets at Israel in retaliation for Israel’s targeted killing of the senior commander of Islamic Jihad in Gaza. Many of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system, but quite a few got through, and some even reached as far as Tel Aviv. Following those rocket attacks, Israeli tanks and aircraft pounded Islamic Jihad positions in the Gaza Strip, and Israeli officials are pledging to continue to respond to any additional attacks. Unfortunately, it certainly sounds like more attacks are coming. According to Islamic Jihad’s Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhala, his organization is “going to war” with Israel. The following comes from the Times of Israel…
“We are going to war. [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu has crossed all the red lines in assassinating Al-Quds Brigades Commander Baha Abu al-Ata. We will respond forcefully,” PIJ Secretary-General Ziad al-Nakhala told the Dar al-Hayat Arabic-language news site.
Israeli officials felt that they had no choice but to kill Baha Abu al-Ata once they had a clear opportunity to do so. According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he was an “archterrorist” and was “the main instigator of terrorism from the Gaza Strip”. The Israeli people are fed up with the endless rocket attacks, and so it makes sense that Israel would target the man that initiated so many of those attacks.
But to Islamic Jihad, Baha Abu al-Ata was a greatly beloved hero, and his death sent shockwaves throughout the entire Middle East. Once news of his death got out, terrorists in Gaza fired “more than 200 rockets into Israel”…
Islamic militants in the Gaza Strip sent a barrage of more than 200 rockets into Israel Tuesday and vowed further revenge after the Israeli military carried out a pair of targeted airstrikes on senior Islamic Jihad commanders, killing one in Gaza and missing the second in Syria.
An Israeli airstrike killed Baha Abu al-Ata, 42, and his wife as they slept in their home in eastern Gaza Tuesday, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, said. Conricus added that Abu al-Ata was responsible for a number of recent rocket attacks on southern Israel and claimed he was actively planning new attacks.
In response to those rocket attacks, IDF tanks and planes absolutely pummeled Islamic Jihad military outposts…
Israeli tanks attacked three Islamic Jihad military posts in the Gaza Strip Tuesday afternoon.
An IDF spokesperson stated: “A short while ago, IDF tanks targeted three PIJ military posts in the Gaza Strip.”
The Israeli Air Force has also bombed numerous Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza in response to the firing of dozens of rockets by the terrorist organization.
DEBKAfile’s sources report that when Israel’s security cabinet was convening in Tel Aviv on Tuesday morning, so too were senior officials in Tehran, Damascus and Beirut. They were discussing whether to punish Israel by opening a second or third front in the north.
The Palestinian Jihad also maintains armed forces in Syria and Lebanon, who may be conscripted in both countries for strikes against northern and central Israel in solidarity with their brothers in Gaza. The Gaza headquarters initially reacted to the death of its leader by announcing that their retaliation “would have no borders.” Then, after firing some 50 rockets, Jihad stated that as yet “unprecedented retaliation” was still to come, suggesting that Israel faced attacks from additional borders.
Of course every time Israel’s enemies escalate the conflict, Israel is going to hit back even harder.
And if this conflict escalates enough, it could pull in the Iranians and all of their close allies in the region. In recent years, Islamic Jihad has actually forged very close ties with Tehran. The following comes from the Jerusalem Post…
PIJ is important for Iran because Tehran’s regime often argues that it is the center of “resistance” against Israel and the US. In order to weave a narrative of “resistance,” it must show that it is actually doing something against Israel. Since Iran doesn’t like to sacrifice its own Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps members, it works through other groups. In Lebanon it supplies Hezbollah with precision guidance for its rocket arsenal; in Gaza it has relations with PIJ and also with Hamas.
At some point, Israel will find itself fighting against Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran all at the same time.
Could it be possible that we are right on the precipice of that war?
The group’s activists were seen hanging signs around the country reading, “Bibi – Give Us TheOrder!”
“The time has come for Israel to achieve victory over Hamas and all the terror organizations in Gaza,” said Im Tirtzu CEO Matan Peleg. “Peace is made with defeated enemies, and that’s the only way to restore quiet to the south. Today’s assassination of a senior Gazan terrorist was a step in the right direction, and now we need to take the next step and defeat the terror in Gaza once and for all.”
If rockets were constantly being fired at my family and friends, I think that my patience would be gone too.
There simply is not going to be lasting peace in the region as long as the status quo exists. Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranian government have all pledged to permanently wipe Israel off the map, and the Israelis are going to respond to every attack against them by hitting back extremely hard.
Whether it happens today, tomorrow or at some future time, the truth is that a major war is coming to the Middle East.
And once that war happens, none of our lives will ever be the same again.
