Discerning the Times

If things were more of a political rally centered around what Glenn Beck did over last weekend then I think it is correct for Christians to follow him. But alot of what Glenn Beck said centered around God and America turning back to it’s true faith. Has Glenn Beck become America’s default spiritual leader?

Hundreds of thousands of Americans showed up in Washington DC for his rally with themes of faith and love of country. Americans are looking for any kind of leadership as they are becoming increasingly afraid of what is going on in America and what is still to come.

Some positives were seen: honoring our military, celebrating America instead of throwing it under the bus, patriotism and conservative political values.

So what could really be so bad then? Well ,Mr. Beck is Mormon. So the God he believes in is not the same God you and I as bible believing followers of Jesus Christ believe in.

The rally had a spiritual theme throughout about turning back to God. The not so subtle theme was “many faiths, one God”.

But Glenn Beck again does not believe in the same God and Savior that we do. He even called the American Indians the chosen people which is Mormon doctrine.

So while he sounds really close sometimes to what you and I believe, he simple is not talking about the same God. Of all the prayers offered at the event none were made in the name of Jesus. So the question is this: Is America in such desperate spiritual condition that it will follow a Mormon for spiritual revival?

Mormons are a false belief, a cult if you will. They believe the following:

1. God was actually born and raised on another planet

2. God has a harem of wives

3. They produce spirit babies that are sent to earth, there they gain bodies and earn sainthood

4. Jesus is the brother of Lucifer

5. Jesus is the chosen/elected savior by a council of gods from other worlds

6. The US Constitution is as sacred as the Book of Mormon. They have a prophecy that in the latter days the US Constitution will be under siege and will be saved by Mormons. The want to build a Mormon kingdom here on earth

7. Salvation is works based and not through grace and faith

This is not the God of the Bible or the Jesus who is my Savior. The apostasy is spreading and we need to wake up before it is too late.

The US economy is officially in a depression according to some of the leading economists in America and the UK. What is to come is going to be even scarier!

Thank you Jesus for loving us in the times ahead. Thank you for always being there. We will need to trust you and have faith in you in the days ahead!

What is to come is as follows: massive debt default, the economic failure of entire nations and possible widespread starvation in the western world.

The leading economists saying this are a who’s who in that field. People like David Rosenberg, Arthur Laffer and Nobel winner Paul Krugman. They all predict that the coming decade is going to be even worse economically than the last one.

The recent data is driving these predictions as the expected and foretold economic summer of recovery by the President is turning out to be anything but as housing numbers from July 2010 indicate a 27% collapse compared to July 2009.

Economists are predicting we need tax reform in order to start any recovery. They are predicting we may see unemployment figures climb to 25% and rather quickly.

They are predicting a very big fall for early 2011 that will drive tens of millions of people caught in it. We are now in it official G#: Great Depression 3.

From a Scriptural perspective this has been foretold by both Jesus in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13 as part of the birthpains of His return and also during the Great Tribulation in the book of Revelation. We should not be shocked as we are definitely the last generation. We will see the return of Jesus as King! If you are a true believer then let not your heart be troubled by the things that will take place on the earth as you are a citizen of heaven and are not destined for the wrath of God. This is the blessed hope that Christ and Paul tell us in the Scriptures.

We will see some bad times ahead even before the Rapture so stay focused on Christ.

Debkafile is reporting that Israel may be reviving it’s military option against Iran for the fall especially since the Bushehr nuclear plant has come on line.

Washington and the Obama administration are aware of this as indicated by the fact that they sent two high level big guns to Jerusalem to try and check an Israeli attack.

The first big gun was IAEA director Amano who tried to convince the Israeli giovernment that his stewardship of the Iranian situation would be handled quite differently than the lenience shown by his predecessor Elbaradei.

Dennis Ross was the next big gun to arrive. He came with gifts and offers of security from the US. These would be rewards for Israel for showing restraint towards Iran and also for Israel to be a good partner at the peace discussions next week.

Netanyahu has less than a week to decide if he can fully trust the US government as he has evidence not to based on Washington’s non reaction to the Bushehr plant.

The security rewards to Israel would be the following:

1. The US would spread a nuclear umbrella over Israel that would entail the installation of U?S nuclear depots in Israel to show Iran that a nuclear attack on the Jewish state would meet with a US response.

2. US nuclear subs would be supplied to the Israeli navy as the backbone of its nuclear counter strike.

3. The Israeli air force would receive US f-22 Raptors, the most sophisticated planes in the world.

4. The US would arrange for full NATO membership for Israel so as to render an Iranian attack as an attack on all 26 member nations of NATO.

Sources say Netanyahu is likely not to accept these terms. If the Iranian nuclear attack were to happen it would not matter about a counter strike as Israel would cease to exist.

While all these things here in this world, here in this life time continue to swirl around us we need to remember one thing, who is in charge ultimately!

The US economy is definitely in a tailspin and out of control. In the next few months we are going to hear the “depression” word and also are going to see food prices rise tremendously. There will actually be food shortages as well.

As the birth pains announcing the return of the King increase in intensity and frequency, we need to always be about the Lord’s work. We also however need to remember it is not the work that will get us to heaven , but it is our relationship with Him that needs to continue to grow, be the cherished thing in our lives and the thing we work on the most.

This generation has never had to face adversity before. Are we ready to start truly beleiving like we need to! To truly trust in Him as things go to pieces all around us?

We must stand up and be counted as followers of the King and that King is Christ the Lord!

The US economy is in a 1930s style depression according to some major economists including David Rosenberg of Gluskin Sheff.

Positive GRP readings and other mildly hopeful signs have been masking what will become apparent to all soon enough: WE ARE in a depression.

The job numbers continue to worsen and the housing numbers for July announced yesterday will not change that.

The US housing marekt dropped 27% during the month of July. Oil prices continue to drop as the world economy slows and spending declines in the large US market.

So please do not be alarmed as Jesus is in control. But we will have to weather some trials and tribulations along the way as He returns for the Church.

The Church in the US has not had to deal with much trial and tribulation compared to the rest of the world.

The US economy and this coming depression will challenge all of us. We just need to remember whose hands we are in and trust Him and Him alone. Our faith will be tested, but as we come through the fire, the true believers will shine forth.

While most evangelical Christians understand the Scriptural importance of the nation of Israel reforming in our times, there is a vast majority of Americans in fact moving away from supporting the Israeli nation. A poll carried out by pollster Stanley Greenberg shows that only 51% of Americans support Israel. This is down from 63% last summer.

Another question that was posed centered around the belief that Israel really wants peace with the Palestinians. Only 46% of responders agreed with the statement. That is down from 66% in 2007.

The poll shows that the section of the American public that Israel is losing support rapidly is among liberal Americans who align themselves with the Democratic party.

God tells us multiple times in the book of Genesis that whoever blesses Israel will be blessed and whoever curses Israel will be cursed.

We need to pray for Israel also and pray for the peace of Jerusalem as the world starts its final push to destroy Israel.

We need to pray for America and our President. I do not trust the man in the Oval Office, but he is still the leader of this country. I can feel in my spirit that something big is coming to America and soon. This is being echoed by alot of other people of God as well. He is trying to tell us something. We need to remain in prayer to hear His voice.

Under this President ,we have faced the Gulf Oil crisis, threat of war with Iran and North Korea, financial crisis and more is to come since he is not a follower of Christ, but may in fact be Muslim.

There is something coming to this country that will stop us all in our tracks. It will happen within the next year and it will be a challenge to be faced unlike anything that has hit this country. It will shake the President, our country and the whole world.

I believe we need further revelation form the Lord on exact details but the general message is understood. Judgment is coming to America and soon.

We need to speak the truth to those we love as our time is short here, but in regard to this word concerning something big coming our way, we need to let people know that they need to turn their lives around and love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, mind and with all their strength.

There is also a spirit of unease amongst God’s people. People are overwhelmed! This is a ploy of the Evil One. Pray that God will give us peace and rest.

Pray for our President and the nation! Keep looking up!

North Korea’s military is threatening to launch the severest punishment yet against the US and South Korea over war games being held jointly with the US.

North Korea’s army will deal a merciless blow to the two allies is the threat being marshaled by North Korean army leaders.

The war games are to begin a 10 day computerised war game called Ulchi Freedom Guardian.

About 30,000 US soldiers and 56,000 South Korean soldiers are scheduled to take part.

China is also entering the warning mode as it warned the US last Friday about the US decision to use a nuclear powered aircraft carrier in the joint  drills with the South.

China also told the US it was inadvisable to push a country of 1.3 billion people. China is North Korea’s closest ally and trade partner.

The Pentagon is also issuing alarms concerning China and the recent military buildup. The Pentagon believes China is expanding its strategic military advantage over Taiwan. The Chinese are engaging in a missile buildup and a naval buildup over the last ten years.

We will keep our eyes on this tense situation.

Let’s look at a timeline and then I will add my commentary to it.

1. December 18-19, 2009, February 5-6 and 9-10, 2010 – Major snow storms hit DC area and drop record amounts of snow and knock out power to hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses.

2. July 6-7, 2010 - Israeli PM Netanyahu is in DC to meet with President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton and then heads to NYC. The next day record setting 100 degree heat hits both cities.

3.  July 15-16, 2010 – DC Court votes 5 to 4 against a voters right to vote on same-sex unions. The next day an earthquake hits.

The new have 18 straight days of violent storms rocking the DC area.

4. July 25, 29, August 5, 2010 – Violent storms and high winds rock the DC area. Resulting in hundreds of thousands without power. Winds were clocked up to 70 miles per hour.

5. August 11-12, 2010 – George Mitchell meets with PM Netanyahu to discuss direct talks with the Palestinians. Netanyahu rejects the peace talks if they have a precondition of 1967 borders. The next day, more intense storms over the DC area. 100,000 people without power. Over 800 lightning strikes are reported. 70 mile per hour winds are reported again.

Here is the situation, we have a President who does not know the Lord, who endorses same-sex marriage, gays in the military, a mosque in NYC at Ground Zero, not a friend of Israel. This magic equation does not add up well for a country. This is a formula that will lead to the judgment of God. This is a formula that could explain the above timeline.

God is removing His hand of protection from this land. We need to pray like never before and focus on the King. Pray for the lost etc. Time is short.

When the New York Times and CNN are finally admitting that the US faces not only a double dip recession but potentially a new great depression, any alarm bells that may not have been going of for you had better be now.

The Fed’s announcement yesterday that it would be buying Treasury debt is a “crossing the Rubicon” moment and could lead the country to the brink of collapse.

Crossing the 90% debt/GDP threshold is the equivalent of reaching the point of no return. With 41 million Americans on food stamps and 45% of the unemployed having been seeking employment for 27 weeks or more we need to start to wonder if we can recover at all.

We are being run into the ground by this President. And we are being pushed towards a world government quickly. Watch for a global war soon also.

Friends we are truly the last generation who will see the return of the Lord in the air! Get out and spread the word that Jesus is coming and that people need to know Him!
