Israel Strikes Oil Off Tel Aviv Coast

Israel has struck oil again, this time off the Tel Aviv coast. Developers maintain the find includes 100 million barrels of oil, worth $10 billion.

Modiin Energy and Adira Energy discovered an estimated 128 million barrels of oil and 1.8 trillion cubic feet of gas in their Gabriella and Yitzhak licenses, in shallow water less than 15 miles northwest of Tel Aviv.

Officials called the find “significant” and added, “Surveys conducted in recent months found oil in the target strata. The potential oil reservoir is 128 million barrels of oil, and the contingent reserves are an additional 120 million barrels.”

“Bottom line, there is oil. It’s 100 percent. Secondly, the quantities are commercial,” said Tzachi Sultan, controlling shareholder of Modiin.

The Gabriella license is near shore in shallow water. “At a time of soaring oil prices, this is good news for IDB, Modiin, Adira, said Chaim Gavriella, CEO of the IDB  holding company that owns most of Gabriella’s shares.

The oil was defined as “ high quality” and reportedly can be extracted even easier than the gas.

The amount of oil is estimated to meet Israel’s needs for 18 months, in addition to other energy finds in the Tamar and Leviathan fields off the Haifa coast. Companies developing those fields say there is enough gas and perhaps oil to turn Israel into an exporter.

Sultan said drilling will begin by the end of the year and that it will take approximately five years for the first well to start producing oil.

Adira CEO Jeffrey Walter was ecstatic. “I said that I came to find oil and gas and was laughed at. I was told that there is no oil here. They were wrong,” he told Globes.

The discoveries of oil and gas are expected to provide thousands of new jobs for engineers and others needed to work on infrastucture, and the forecast ability of Israel to be self-sufficient could eventually lead to a large decline in domestic fuel prices and a stronger shekel.

Netanyahu to Obama: We can’t wait much longer, Iran has not one but ten Fordows

We are really close to war in the Middle east and Ezekiel chapters 38&39. Keep looking up!

Israel Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu brought 14,000 pro-Israel lobby cheering delegates to their feet repeatedly – especially when he pledged Monday night, March 5, “Never again will our people have to live in the shadow of annihilation.”

Earlier, he and US President Barack Obama took a break from rhetoric and used a brief private interlude during their three-hour long meeting attended by advisers to get down to brass tacks in their argument over how and when to arrest Iran’s race for a nuclear weapon.

debkafile’s Washington sources disclose a couple of their comments.

While publicly reiterating that there is still a window that allows for a diplomatic resolution of the issue, Obama admitted privately to Netanyahu that the Fordow underground uranium enrichment plant can no longer be destroyed by bombs and missiles; American commanders say all that can be done is to block the vents of this underground facility and slowly stifle the personnel inside. Time and several strikes would be needed to accomplish this.
Netanyahu: Iran is building not one Fordow but ten. We can’t wait much longer.
In other words, the talk of open windows and more time is moot.

Obama: There is no intelligence that Iran has made a final decision to pursue a nuclear weapon.

Netanyahu: Time is growing short.

debkafile’s Washington source denied media reports that the prime minister had assured the president that Israel has not yet decided to attack Iran’s nuclear sites, meaning he had offered the president the time he wanted for diplomacy and sanctions to work.
Our sources report, to the contrary, that he insisted Israel is operating on a shorter timeline than the United States.
Then, in his speech to AIPAC, he set the record straight by declaring Israel can’t afford to wait much longer” and lauded the president for affirming Israel was entitled to “defend itself, by itself.”
How much is “much longer” is the subject of debate, but one thing is clear:  Israel won’t wait beyond 2012 or until after the US presidential election in November.
“Israel has waited six years for sanctions to stop Iran,” he told the AIPAC audience, but they have failed.
He produced two documents dated 1944 in reply to the widely-reported view that Israel is short of the capacity to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities and an attack would cause disastrous consequences for the region and the world.
One document was a World Jewish Congress plea to the US State Department for the Americans to bomb the Auschwitz death camp. The second was a rejection of the WJC’s appeal, explaining that diverting large-scale air power from America’s primary front would bring forth “even more vindictive action from the Germans.”
Netanyahu drew loud cheers when he declared, “As Israeli Prime Minister I will never let my people live in the shadow of annihilation!  Never again!”

Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to Washington did not resolve Israel’s differences with the Obama administration on if, when and by whom military force should be applied to shutting down a nuclear Iran.
Therefore, no joint communiqué or statement followed their White House meeting, which was also attended by White House National Security Adviser Tom Donilon and the prime minister’s security adviser Yaakov Amidror.
But he made a powerful address to American Jews to rally them behind his conviction that a nuclear weapon in Iran’s hands imperils not just Israel’s survival but, if it is not preempted, would allow Tehran to use it in one form or another to as a weapon of terror against every nation in the world.  An Israeli attack on Iran is therefore to be expected at some time in the coming months.
Before winding up his five days in the US and Canada, Netanyahu is meeting House Speaker John Boehner and other Congressional leaders in a bid for support for his strategy for a nuclear Iran.

New Czar Rising: Russia’s Election on March 4 May Prove a Bigger Deal than Our Own -

The media is fixated on the GOP primaries and the American presidential campaign and giving scant attention to Russia’s upcoming election on Sunday, March 4th. But the Russian vote may prove to be a bigger deal than our own. Here’s why:

Though protest movements against Vladimir Putin throughout Russia in recent months suggest a growing number of Russians finally see the former KGB chief for what he is—a thug and a bully—polls still suggest he is expected to win handily. If those polls are right and Putin does, in fact, reemerge as president then let’s be clear: we will be watching a new Czar rising, a tyrant who will rule with an iron hand over his own people, and look to project Russian power elsewhere in the world. Putin has, for example, drawn sharp criticism from Mikhail Gorbachev who says Putin’s political party is a bad copy of the Soviet Communist Party: anti-freedom and corrupt.

Putin says he will immediately begin to rebuild Russia’s tattered military, investing $772 billion to that end—we should take him at his word and consider seriously why he is so determined to have a stronger military in a world in which Russia faces no real or serious threats to its own national security.

Putin is increasingly anti-American and has said Americans are “living like parasites off the global economy and their monopoly of the dollar.”

Putin, at heart, is a fierce Russian nationalist, which means he is an imperialist, which means he is devastated by the weakness of “Mother Russia” and mourns how it has been shrinking over the past few decades. In 2005, Putin said,

“The collapse of the Soviet Union was the biggest geopolitical catastrophe of the century. For the Russian people, it became a real drama. Tens of millions of our citizens and countrymen found themselves outside Russian territory. The epidemic of disintegration also spread to Russia itself.”

For most of us, the greatest geopolitical catastrophes of the 20th century include World Wars I and II, the Holocaust, the killing fields of Cambodia, the genocide in Sudan and Rwanda, and the death of tens of millions under Stalin’s reign of terror, to name a few. Most sane people think the end of the “Evil Empire” was a good thing; Putin isn’t one of them.

More than anything, Putin wants to regain and reassert the glory and the power of Mother Russia. That means he wants to expand her territory and enlarge her borders. The problem Putin faces is that Russia can’t significantly expand westward because NATO is moving eastward (though Putin has spoken openly of creating a merger with the neighboring country of Belarus, which is also currently run by a tyrannical dictator). Russia can’t expand eastward because China is now a rich and strong and nuclear-armed power. Russia can’t seriously expand northward because there’s not much to gain from the North Pole. Thus, we should expect him to project power southward. Since 2000, he has, in fact, been building strategic alliances with Islamic countries throughout North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. He has sold billions of dollars’ worth of arms to Iran, Syria, Algeria, Libya, Sudan and other Islamic powers. He’s been particularly vocal in defending the tyrants in Tehran and Damascus. Expect Moscow’s focus on the Islamic world to increase dramatically (Note: Putin has spoken openly of creating a Eurasian economic union in Central Asia, similar politically and economically to the European Union but likely dominated by the Kremlin).

Would Putin actually use military force to defend Iran and Syria, and challenge their enemies? We shall see, but I believe the issue is not one of will, but of timing. I think Putin is itching to find a place to showcase Russian military power, but he first has to make certain his forces are truly ready again for battle.

It should also be noted that the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel wrote in chapters 38 and 39 of his biblical text that in the “last days” there will be a political and military alliance between Russia (Magog), Iran (Persia) and a coalition of other “epicenter” countries that will move against an increasingly secure and prosperous State of Israel for an apocalyptic battle driven by greed and a lust for power. Ultimately, the prophecy tells us that Russia and her allies will be decimated in this war and face divine judgment, while Israel will be saved. It remains too early to say that we have arrived at such a fulfillment of the “War of Gog and Magog” prophecies, but the geopolitical, economic and spiritual trendlines suggest we are steadily moving in that direction.

For all these reasons, Sunday’s presidential elections in Russia may prove a bigger deal over the short-run—and over the long-run—than our own. The trendlines are intriguing, to say the least. Russia will pose an increasing threat to American and Western values and interests, and in time will pose an even greater threat to Israel and to the security and stability of the Middle East. The media may not be paying attention, but we should.

MIDEAST WAR IN MARCH?

NATO countries are strongly considering the possibility of an international deployment to Syria if the Syrian opposition does not make major advances in the next few weeks, according to informed Middle Eastern diplomatic and security officials.

Egyptian security officials, meanwhile, outlined what they said was large scale international backing for the rebels attacking the embattled regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad – including arms and training from the U.S., Turkey, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Several knowledgeable Egyptian and Arab security officials claimed the U.S., Turkey and Jordan were running a training base for the Syrian rebels in the Jordanian town of Safawi in the country’s northern desert region.

The security officials also claimed Saudi Arabia was sending weapons to the rebels via surrogates, including through Druze and Christian leaders in Lebanon such as Druze leader Walid Jumblatt; Saudi-Lebanese billionaire Saad Hariri, who recently served as Lebanon’s prime minister; and senior Lebanese opposition leader Samir Farid Geagea.

Syrian sources claimed to WND that Jordan’s fingerprints can be seen on the opposition forces entering the country. They claimed that just this week they shot dead 15 armed smugglers coming into the country from Jordan and that Jordanian forces helped to cover the smugglers’ tracks on the Jordanian side of the border. They said the incident did not make it to the news media.

While Turkey, the U.S. and Arab countries may be arming the opposition, Russia has been directly aiding Assad’s forces on the ground, according to informed Middle Eastern diplomatic and security officials.

In one recent incident, when opposition forces successfully destroyed a Russian-provided tank in the rebel stronghold of Homs using an anti-tank missile, the officials said that Russian technicians took fragments of the missile to study the components in a Russian lab to determine the exact missile used.

WND previously reported Russian military experts have been inside Syria helping Assad’s regime face down the months-long insurgency.

NATO war in Syria in March?

Meanwhile, according to the Middle Eastern diplomatic and security officials speaking to WND, the international community is considering launching NATO airstrikes on Assad’s forces as soon as March if the opposition does not make major strides toward ending Assad’s regime.

The NATO members, however, have been satisfied with the momentum of the opposition in the last few days, which saw a number of defectors from the Syrian military join the rebels, a move that also precipitated the downfall of Muammar Gadhafi’s regime before the NATO campaign in Libya.

Similar to Gadhafi, Assad’s regime has been accused of major human rights violations, including crimes against humanity, in clamping down on a violent insurgency targeting his rule.

Mass demonstrations were held in recent weeks in Syrian insurgent strongholds calling for the international NATO coalition in Libya to deploy in Syria.

Just yesterday, 50 foreign ministers from Western and Arab nations got together in Tunis to demand that Syria allow aid to be delivered to civilians in the absence of any international force to resolve the conflict.

Damascus officials claimed to WND that NATO troops are currently training in Turkey for a Turkish-led NATO invasion of Syria.

Any deployment would most likely come under the banner of the same “Responsibility to Protect” global doctrine used to justify the U.S.-NATO airstrikes in Libya.

Responsibility to Protect, or Responsibility to Act, as cited by President Obama, is a set of principles, now backed by the United Nations, based on the idea that sovereignty is not a privilege but a responsibility that can be revoked if a country is accused of “war crimes,” “genocide,” “crimes against humanity” or “ethnic cleansing.”

Where is Magog, Meshech and Tubal?

I am attaching a great study and resource for your use from Joel Richardson. This shows a growing belief that Russia may not be involved in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 and the War of Gog- Magog.

Keep looking up!

Where is Magog

Is Damascus, Syria Destined to be Destroyed Soon?

We need to be aware of what could be the trigger event for Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39 the War of Gog -Magog and that is a little known prophecy found in Isaiah chapter 17. It tells of the future destruction of Damascus as a city. We need to be watching the events in Syria closely as Iran is sending troops into Syria and also warships into it’s ports. Syria is threatening war with Israel. Keep watching and be ready for you do not no when the Bridegroom comes!

Is Damascus, Syria Destined to be Destroyed Soon?by Perry Stone

Since the early 1990s, I have been honored to participate in the God’s News Behind the News Prophetic Conference, joining with some of the most informed prophetic writers, speakers and television hosts in the world. For many years now, the speakers at the conference have participated in a two to four hour open panel discussion, answering questions and making comments revolving around the times and seasons and what they see in the distant future for the church, for America and the world.

Especially since 9-11, there has been a renewed interest in an ancient prediction recorded by Isaiah the prophet concerning Damascus. The prophecy reads, “The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap” (Isa. 17:1). As often pointed out, there is no time in previous history when Damascus was completely destroyed and became a pile and a heap. The area was always an oasis and was a noted spot for nomadic tribes traveling with roving bands with their flocks. During one invasion, the trees were cut down in the region, however the city of Damascus is noted as one of the oldest continually inhabited cities on earth.

Why would this city be destroyed in the near future? First, there is a major uprising occurring within Syria as the common people in several cities are demanding the removal of their dictator-type leader, Assad. The removal of the Egyptian and Libyan leaders was swift; however Assad refuses to budge and not only has a loyal army but has recently enjoyed the support of 15,000 high level Iranian soldiers. The defiant leader has also killed over 8,000 of his people and has an arsenal of biological and chemical weapons at his disposal. It is believed that the components and various types of chemical agents that belonged to Saddam Hussein, the former President of Iraq, are stored in two underground military facilities in Syria and Israel is certain that Assad has chemical tipped warheads on certain missiles.

It was recently reported that Assad had over 21 missiles pointed toward Turkey and several towards Israel, and that six of these missiles were tipped with deadly chemical agents. Turkey has already warned Syria that if these missiles are sent into Turkey or near the border areas, that Turkey will initiate an all out war with Assad and his regime. Israel has also warned Assad that any missile of any type sent into Israel will be met with swift retaliation. Assad’s military commanders have also been informed that if any missile enters Israel tipped with deadly nerve agents or biological and chemical agents of death, Damascus will be destroyed!

It has been noted that in the prophecy of the war of Gog of Magog in Ezekiel 38 and 38, Syria is missing from the list of nations that form an (Islamic) coalition and move like a violent storm cloud over the mountains of Israel. It just may be that the destruction of Damascus – a city that houses an estimated 10,000 terrorists and is friends with the radical government in Iran – will serve as the trigger for the predicted Islamic coalition to make its move upon Israel in the future, as retaliation for a war that occurred prior to the war of Ezekiel 38.  Stay tuned. Things are really about to get interesting!

COUNTDOWN! IRAN’S FINGER ON NUCLEAR TRIGGER

Iranian nuclear experts have completed the component for a nuclear bomb trigger, overcoming a major obstacle in obtaining the bomb, according to sources within Iran.

As reported last May, the Iranian nuclear and military industries, under the order of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were to weaponize at least two warheads with a nuclear payload no later than next month.

Sources within the Revolutionary Guards reveal that the work on the trigger is taking place covertly under the control of the Guards in the cities of Darkhovin and Isfahan.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the main brain behind the Iranian nuclear bomb program, is guiding the project. Fakhrizadeh reportedly reports directly to Khamenei and is under tight security because of the assassination of other Iranian nuclear scientists.

The Islamic regime has rejected several requests by the International Atomic Energy Agency to interview him. The U.N. nuclear watchdog believes Fakhrizadeh was responsible for the project “111,” which would convert highly enriched uranium into metal for a nuclear warhead and its reentry design.

The IAEA last November indicated that Iran had experimented with firing multiple detonators with a high level of simultaneity. The report also indicated that Iran as early as 2003 began a large-scale experiment to initiate a high-explosive charge in the form of a hemispherical shell. This indicates work on a nuclear bomb.

According to Sepahonline, which is close to the Revolutionary Guards, Iranian nuclear bomb progress is overseen by the supreme leader’s military adviser, Rahim Safavi, a former chief commander of the Guards, and a cleric, Mohsen Ghomi, who has communicated the will of the supreme leader for a speedy completion of the project. These activities are taking place at several secret locations unknown to the IAEA. One location reportedly is in the city of Mobarake, south west of Isfahan.

Peter Vincent Pry, executive director of the newly established Task Force on National and Homeland Security, a congressional advisory board, concludes from IAEA intelligence that Iran’s nuclear weapons program is very advanced.

”Iran has already developed hemispherical explosive lenses and highly precise detonators,” Pry states, “a clear indicator Iran is working on, or has already built, an implosion-type nuclear weapon. The United States used an implosion atomic bomb during World War II to destroy Nagasaki.”

Pry notes that reports that Iran is working on an atomic trigger – a device that helps initiate the fission reaction that results in a nuclear explosion – indicates that Iran’s nuclear weaponization is advanced, since this is one of the last steps toward building an atomic warhead.  Centrifuge technology has enabled Pakistan, North Korea and now Iran to enrich uranium to weapons grade without requiring enormous, and impossible to disguise, gaseous diffusion plants, thus enabling those countries to build nuclear weapons clandestinely.

”The U.S. Manhattan Project produced two atomic bombs of radically different designs in just three years,” Pry says, “yet Iran has supposedly been struggling to build a nuclear weapon for two decades. Some of us believe Iran may already have nuclear weapons but has concealed this from the West in order to avoid a preemptive strike until such time as Iran’s nuclear status will become irreversible, as with North Korea.”

Pry warns that Iran does not have to develop an ICBM in order to pose a nuclear threat to the United States. ”Iran has already demonstrated the capability to launch a missile capable of delivering a nuclear weapon from a freighter at sea.”

Iran currently has enough enriched uranium for six nuclear bombs and is enriching uranium to the 20 percent level unabated, despite four sets of U.N. sanctions. Enriching to the 20 percent level is nine-tenths of the way to weaponization. It takes only several weeks to further enrich the 20 percent stock into weapons-grade material over the 90 percent level.

In another major development parallel to Iran’s nuclear program, Fars News Agency, which is close to the Revolutionary Guards, announced that Iran will launch a one-ton satellite into orbit in the Iranian New Year (starting March 20).

Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Ahmad Vahidi, who is wanted by Interpol for the Jewish Community Center bombing in 1994, stated that Iran is setting up a new base for the launch of the heavier satellite.

Iran, which launched its first satellite in 2009, successfully sent another satellite into orbit on Feb. 3. Though the payload was only 110 pounds, it was sufficient to deliver a nuclear artillery shell to intercontinental distances.

The news of a heavier satellite should come as a warning to the West, as the one-ton payload could very well carry a nuclear bomb any distance on earth.

Historically, orbiting a satellite is the criterion used for crediting a nation with ICBM capability.

Last December I revealed that China, in a secret agreement with the Islamic regime, had sold Iran ICBM technology and that the North Koreans were working with the Guards in assembling the missiles, which once complete will have a range of over 6,000 miles and will have America within its range.

In an alarming indication that Iran and North Korea are collaborating on nuclear bombs, radioisotope data from Russian and Japanese stations close to North Korea suggest that North Korea likely conducted two nuclear tests in 2010. At the same time, reports from inside Iran indicated a team of Iranian nuclear scientists had been sent to North Korea and that the two governments have agreed on a joint nuclear test in North Korea with a substantial financial reward to North Korea.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in another defiant speech on the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on Saturday, announced that the world will soon witness another major accomplishment in the Iranian nuclear program within days. The Iranian president said his nation will ”never yield” to Western sanctions and threats of military action from Israel and the United States.

Negotiation and sanctions will not deter the Islamic regime in Iran to change its course from obtaining the nuclear bomb. It is not the economy, it is the ideology.

As US and Israel dicker over Iran strike, American airlifts strength to the Gulf

As the US and Israel carried on bickering over the right time to strike Iran’s nuclear sites, their war preparations continued apace. debkafile‘s military sources report that flight after flight of US warplanes and transports were to be seen this week cutting eastward through the skies of Sinai on their way to Gulf destinations, presumably Saudi Arabia, at a frequency not seen in the Middle East for many years.

The three International Atomic Energy inspectors who spent the last three days of January in Tehran had asked to meet the hitherto invisible head of Iran’s nuclear bomb program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, 50, a general of the Revolutionary Guards. The Iranians pretended to be deaf. They also kept the inspectors away from any nuclear installations. A senior Obama administration official termed the visit “foot-dragging at best and a disaster at worst.”

debkafile‘s intelligence and military sources note that without talking to Fakhrizadeh or any of the 600 nuclear engineers and scientists working under him, unless one of them defects, there is no way the West can determine what exactly is going on in Iran’s nuclear program stands and which installations have been moved to underground facilities.

No one doubts now that advanced centrifuges and stocks of enriched uranium – 3.5 percent and 20 percent grades alike – have been moved to Iran’s underground bunker site at Fordo near Qom, which the US administration has claimed its bunker buster bombs cannot reach and which Israel’s Defense Minister Ehud Barak has defined as “a zone of immunity.” In their ongoing argument with Jerusalem, American officials commented crossly this week that “Israelis are looking at the problem too narrowly.” Clearly Israel, unlike America, envisions the Iranian “problem” from the narrow viewpoint of potential victim of an Iranian attack. Sunday, Feb. 5, Alireza Forghani, head of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s strategic team, was quoted as remarking, “It would only take nine minutes to wipe out Israel.” The remark came from a just-published detailed and serious paper by an Iranian study group which advised Tehran not to wait to be attacked but to launch a preemptive strike against the Jewish state. Wiping Israel out in 9 minutes would require a nuclear weapon. It therefore behooves Israel to narrow its vision and focus closely on Iran’s nuclear potential and intent.

By now, the Obama administration and the Netanyahu government have pretty well run out of semantic ammunition for their dingdong over how long to wait for sanctions to bite before going on the military offensive against Iran’s nuclear sites and who should do the deed. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu plans a trip to Washington in March and will almost certainly get together with President Barack Obama.  That is a date to watch. Israel leaders have not given up warning that time is running out for a military strike that could stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Obama’s comment to NBC TV Sunday Feb. 4, “I don’t think that Israel has made a decision on what they need to do,” has been interpreted by some circles in Washington as meaning that Israel has agreed to wait long enough to give tough sanctions a chance.

debkafile‘s sources say that interpretation is wishful thinking rather than based on fact. The president’s comment was another attempt to keep Israel within certain lines of restraint.

War with Iran is coming

Op-ed: Israel will bomb Iran’s nuke sites earlier than predicted, with Western and Arab support
Sever Plocker
A war is coming. We need a miracle to avert it. Both sides have been preparing for it for years. The two states are earmarking resources, holding drills, utilizing intelligence means, creating uncertainty, and publicly presenting positions that offer no way back. Israel and Iran are currently facing a growing cold war situation and are on an almost certain collision course. A war is coming.

In only few cases did a cold war not turn into an all-out war. One of the prominent cases is that of the Soviet regime’s collapse in the 1980s and its defeat in the Cold War against the West. The United States won without firing a single shot. It used its economic-technological supremacy as a strategic threat, while Western ideology won hearts on the other side of the Iron Curtain. The threat of nuclear war passed after the regime in Moscow changed.

The Israeli-Iranian case is much more volatile and it’s hard to foresee a happy ending. Israel is willing to do (and will do) anything to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. No Israeli prime minister and no IDF chief of staff will assume the responsibility for a nuclear Tehran.

Israel can live with the current Iran: A state capable of producing a nuclear bomb, while being two to three years away from arming the first missile with the first nuclear warhead. However, Israel will not allow Iran to cross the military nuclear threshold. There is no way in the world Israel would compromise on that.

“Cannot live with” and “cannot accept” are diplomatic phrases marking a declaration of war. And it will be a predictable war; at this point, commentators and gamblers are giving it 90% chance of materializing. Hence, preparations for it must be accurate. In practice, they have been completed already. Unless Iran caves in, an Israeli operation against Tehran’s nuclear sites is inevitable.

 Iranian irrationality

Can the Iranian leadership cave in? Yes, it can. The regime in Tehran is not being asked to curb the entire nuclear project, but rather, to pursue what Iran itself said was its legitimate aspiration: Nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. This means an immediate halt to the secret military program, willingness to fully open nuclear sites to foreign inspectors, and agreeing to transfer the enriched uranium overseas.

Such agreement won’t undermine the regime’s popularity: It will be received enthusiastically in Tehran’s markets, especially as the economic sanctions will be lifted. Nuclear arms are perceived as an imperialist gadget in Iran. The country can do without them.

The lack of symmetry may prompt an optimistic conclusion: Under growing pressure of sanctions, which are now biting and comprehensive, the Iranian regime would indeed cave in. It would forego the military nuclear option for at least the next 12 years and make do with electrical plants. The regime’s popularity won’t be hurt because of this; the opposite is true.

Yet these are rational considerations, while Iran’s leadership displays irrationality. Its secret desire for nuclear weapons is irrational, its hostility to Israel is irrational, the way its economy is being managed is irrational, and its support for Syrian President Assad serves as further proof of its irrationality.

Hence, there is no telling how the ayatollah regime would respond to growing international pressure. Iran’s leaders are playing a cat-and-mouse game with the US and with Israel. The Iranians think they’re the cat, but they’re in fact the mouse.

Hence, we shall almost certainly see a war here. Israel will bomb Iran’s nuclear military sites earlier than predicted, while enjoying Western and Arab assistance and backing. The sirens will wake us up early in the morning. The Home Front Command’s spokesman will instruct us to enter our sealed rooms without panicking. And the rest will be history.

Ayatollah: Kill All Jews Worldwide, Annihilate Israel

We need to remember what the end goal for Iran really is. They are looking to start the chaos that will breing about the 12th Imam or Mahdi. They believe they are in contact with him right now. This is why this issue with Iran will not go away. Iran is a major part of Ezekiel chapters 38-39 as part of the coalition that comes against Israel. The article below is key to understanding the Iranian mindset and where we may be headed.

The Prophet Isaiah, in describing the condition of the world leading up to the Second Coming of Christ, says that “the curse [alah] has devoured the earth, And those who dwell in it are desolate” (Isa 24:6). Yes, the word for “curse” is the Hebrew word “alah” …

By Reza Kahlili – “The Iranian government, through a website proxy, has laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people.

The doctrine includes wiping out Israeli assets and Jewish people worldwide.

Calling Israel a danger to Islam, the conservative website Alef, with ties to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the opportunity must not be lost to remove ‘this corrupting material. It is a ‘jurisprudential justification’ to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm.’

The article, written by Alireza Forghani, a conservative analyst and a strategy specialist in Khamenei’s camp, now is being run on most state-owned conservative sites, including the Revolutionary Guards’ Fars News Agency, showing that the regime endorses this doctrine.

Because Israel is going to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran is justified in launching a pre-emptive, cataclysmic attack against the Jewish state, the doctrine argues.

On Friday, in a major speech at prayers, Khamenei announced that Iran will support any nation or group that attacks the ‘cancerous tumor’ of Israel. Though his statement was seen by some in the West as fluff, there is substance behind it.

Iran’s Defense Ministry announced this weekend that it test-fired an advanced two-stage, solid-fuel ballistic missile and boasted about successfully putting a new satellite into orbit, reminding the West that its engineers have mastered the technology for intercontinental ballistic missiles even as the Islamic state pushes its nuclear weapons program.

The commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Brig. Gen. Seyyed Mehdi Farahi, stated in August that the Safir missile, which is capable of transporting a satellite into space, can easily be launched parallel to the earth’s orbit, which will transform it into an intercontinental ballistic missile. Western analysts didn’t believe this would happen until 2015. Historically, orbiting a satellite is the criterion for crediting a nation with ICBM capability.

Forghani details the Islamic duty of jihad as laid out in the Quran for the sake of Allah and states that ‘primary jihad,’ according to some Shiite jurists, can only occur when the Hidden Imam, the Shiites’ 12th Imam Mahdi, returns. Shiites believe Mahdi’s return will usher in Armageddon.

In the absence of the hidden Imam, Forghani says, ‘defensive jihad’ could certainly take place when Islam is threatened, and Muslims must defend Islam and kill their enemies. To justify such action, Alef quotes the Shiites’ first imam, Ali, who stated ‘Waging war against the enemies with whom war is inevitable and there is a strong possibility that in near future they will attack Muslims is a must and the duty of Muslims.’

The article then quotes the Quran (Albaghara 2:191-193): ‘And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers] … and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.’

It is the duty for all Muslims to participate in this defensive jihad, Forghani says. A fatwa by the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini made it clear that any political domination by infidels over Muslims authorizes Muslims to defend Islam by all means. Iran now has the ICBM means to deliver destruction on Israel and soon will have nuclear warheads for those missiles.

In order to attack Iran, the article says, Israel needs the approval and assistance of America, and under the current passive climate in the United States, the opportunity must not be lost to wipe out Israel before it attacks Iran.

Under this pre-emptive defensive doctrine, several Ground Zero points of Israel must be destroyed and its people annihilated. Forghani cites the last census by the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics that shows Israel has a population of 7.5 million citizens of which a majority of 5.7 million are Jewish. Then it breaks down the districts with the highest concentration of Jewish people, indicating that three cities, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Haifa, contain over 60 percent of the Jewish population that Iran could target with its Shahab 3 ballistic missiles, killing all its inhabitants.

Forghani suggests that Iran’s Sejil missile, which is a two-stage rocket with a trajectory and speed that make it impossible to intercept, should target such Israeli facilities as: the Rafael nuclear plant, which is the main nuclear engineering center of Israel; the Eilun nuclear plant; another Israeli reactor in Nebrin; and the Dimona reactor in the nuclear research center in Neqeb, the most critical nuclear reactor in Israel because it produces 90 percent enriched uranium for Israel’s nuclear weapons.

Other targets, according to the article, include airports and air force bases such as the Sedot Mikha Air Base, which contains Jericho ballistic missiles and is located southwest of the Tel Nof Air Base, where aircraft equipped with nuclear weapons are based. Secondary targets include power plants, sewage treatment facilities, energy resources, and transportation and communication infrastructures.

Finally, Forghani says, Shahab 3 and Ghadr missiles can target urban settlements until the Israelis are wiped out.

Forghani claims that Israel could be destroyed in less than nine minutes and that Khamenei, as utmost authority, the Velayete Faghih (Islamic Jurist), also believes that Israel and America not only must be defeated but annihilated.

The radicals ruling Iran today not only posses over 1,000 ballistic missiles but are on the verge of ICBM delivery and have sufficient enriched uranium for six nuclear bombs even as they continue to highly enrich uranium despite four sets of U.N. sanctions.

The Iranian secret documentary ‘The Coming Is Upon Us’ clearly indicates that these radicals believe the destruction of Israel will trigger the coming of the last Islamic Messiah and that even Jesus Christ, who will convert to Islam, will act as Mahdi’s deputy, praying to Allah as he stands behind the 12th Imam.”
